| Every scene in this episode was dumb, the series in general nah. Otherwise you literally said word for word on what's wrong with this episode. Naofumi felt so out of character this episode. The dude is smarter than this and would never leave the village with one guard if he didn't think the kids were strong enough. Selling the slave traders to slave traders? Anime Naoufumi always felt more like big talk but was actually pretty merciful. He didn't kill trash or slut despite them making his life a living hell. He saw someone cared about them so he spared them, and instead gave them embarrassing names. Why couldn't he do something similar to these slave kidnappers. Just demand compensation plus interest by the queens orders. Also if he was serious about supplying the slavers with more slaves why didn't Raphtalia speak up about how Naoufumi shouldn't do that. She knows what its like being a slave and this moment could further develop her character of being Naoufumi's right hand man. Always guiding him to make the best/moral decisions. You know slavery is bad and it shouldn't be supported. I've seen other replies to your comment and I gotta say people hate legitimate criticism its ridiculous. |

| @_Doraemon_ I already finished S2 yesterday and got on track with S3 today. Since I binge-watched, guess I will use this to comment on it so far. I was expecting the pacing for S3 to be less rushed than it was for S2, and it is, but I still prefer the pace of S1 than this one. Whoever, the direction is doing a good job of making it feel like disjointed, tons of things they did skip were minor stuff, and whenever it is something they should not speak, you kinda get a flashback. This is what I recall from my memories, been too long since I read these volumes. Episode 1 I liked how they introduced mid fight media-res, then going back, but I was surprised and disappointed that at the end of ep2 and we are already at the end of volume 10! These decisions were made, probably to give more time for the whole redemption of heroes arc they have going, the thing is I never felt it was that good of an arc, so again, whatever. Aside from Atlas reveal, what I wanted to see more, they already fucked up with season 2, so next it would be volume 15, but we would need another season to get there, kinda strange they are hyping that fight already when it should be toward the end of a possible S4. Well whatever, I rushed through to see Atlas animated and the direction of S3 is really good so far, but I hope they eventually slow down this pacing! |

| @Sokah Weak slavers attack because he is far away from his village More precisely 2 days journey back if he don't have wrap portal and the slavers doesn't know about the wrap portal For more information if the slaver sold the slaves of that villlage there is no way shield can track the slaves, even if he track it there is no way they gave the slaves for free This part need Money and shield doesn't have any enough money Understand one more thing that the slave leader is not your NPC but former solider |

This adaptation is so trash and full of plot holes!!
- Fohl is high level and strong Colisseum fighter, worth 120 gold coins. 10 minutes later gets captured by a random slaver.
- Anime Naofumi is stupid. He leaves the village unguarded. He doesn't need a full party to negotiate a trade route, he can do it on his own...
- LN Naofumi is smart. He started leveling up the kids the moment he bought them. They were so strong they could beat the slavers from the anime and capture them on their own without help.
The studio is doing everything it can to not develop the side characters and minimize the world building...

| @Yaggamy 1. Fohl can't solo everyone. Especially that leader ( former solider ) + those other bandit is enough for restrict Fohl 2. raftalia is far better in peddling than naofumi. If he goes for solo trade ..... Make no sense about the village being unguarded. Besides Ginger is still stationed on that village even though she is slow she has enough sword skill as ren ( far better than ren ) 3. Anime original nothing can do about it + in LN bandit attack happens after levelling but this happens within atla recovery part make Sense |

When he goes back to finish, eventually one could read the newer volumes, and be even able to compare to the WN. I m tired on waiting on the writer to get his stuff together and finish it, so this is what I will do. |

| Typical shield hero with slaves suffering and Naofumi being the very face of slave rights and protection ministry, saving them. Now after racoon and a bird, we've white tigers(rare entity) in our party too.. very diverse party I must say. |

I already finished S2 yesterday and got on track with S3 today.

I was expecting the pacing for S3 to be less rushed than it was for S2, and it is, but I still prefer the pace of S1 than this one.
Whoever, the direction is doing a good job of making it feel like disjointed, tons of things they did skip were minor stuff, and whenever it is something they should not speak, you kinda get a flashback.

| @_Doraemon_ S3 will not focus on Phoenix, but the build-up for that. Unless this is a Part 1 S3, only on a S4 should we see it. And there is hope to see an S4 because they are trying much harder with S3, than with S2 (and they should have started from there already!), WHY? They have hopes to animate more, the way I see it. I prefer S1 pacing, but this directing is far much superior to what was done on S1, so again, hopefully, this means they are taking this seriously now, cuz that Kevin's OST would otherwise be wasted on this. |
