| Watching them lift a string of random objects just feels so satisfying, not to mention the sound design. Hearing the ship parts go "clunk" hits right. The thought that heaven "should" exist regardless if it does or not is a comforting approach I could get behind. |

| Since 4 episodes are released at the same time, i'm just going to comment here. As expected, this show is a mix of Kino no Tabi and a bit of Violet Evergarden. The art direction is phenomenal, especially the ED, and the characterization is spot on too. It's not a heart pumping , mind blowing story, but it's a very soothing story about human connection and relationship. Would have to say without the studio's dedication into the animation and detail, the show would be a lot harder to keep audience's attention and interest. Still I wish this show has something spicy later on in the story to raise the stake. There's a reason not many author write this type of story. Because the story is basically on its falling action from the very beginning. There's only so much you can work around in a serious story if there's no rising action and climax, so the author has to spice up the story eventually by creating new rising action to spark the interest of audience in the long run. |

| After watching these four episodes, I can definitely see why this series is living up to the hype. =) The quality of the whole series thus far is excellent, from the beautiful art, smooth and high quality animation, excellent soundtrack from Evan Call as well as the OP/ED songs. Seeing Frieren's journey thus far has given me plenty of emotions already, both happy ones as well as sad ones, so it's already setting the bar high for this season of anime, that's for sure! XD This episode in particular had a lot of cute moments with Frieren, mainly with how tough it is for Fren to wake Frieren up during the colder months, which I can relate since I prefer warmer weather in general. Either way, it was worth it in cleaning up the beach so that the first sunrise of the new year looked stunning. After that, the pair met up with Eisen, which had them finding the place where Flamme left her old notebook. The series has already mentioned about how much longer Frieren's lifespan is compared to normal humans, but the fact that she was alive when Flamme herself was alive still shocked me. The upcoming journey towards Ende will be a long one, but it's one which I'm highly looking forward to. So far, so damn excellent. =D |
| It's a very subtle anime, it doesn't particularly overwhelm you with emotion (at least for me personally), but the sometimes melancholic atmosphere is there with the sense of nostalgia that she feels, as she goes on with her travels. Her reactions and newer found feelings are also not overwhelming, I'm pleasantly surprised, I thought it may have been another try hard tearjerker. Good dynamics with her student, fantastic soundtrack to accompany, it's a great start. |

| This adaptation couldnt have been better. Madhouse really returned with a bang and Def AOTY for me with only 4 episodes and I thought nothing would surpass link click this year lol. Gigguk be ruining these mangas left and right by overhyping them dior said: does the whole cast die brutally? Nah, it's not like that, almost the same as Mushishi. But instead of being about folktales and legends, it focuses more on human relationships and the journey beyond our generic fantasy journey. Just a well rounded fantasy adventure story. |

| Mood of this anime is pretty nice and unusual for anime standards. I like how slow and bittersweet it is. I get that it was just prologue, but I hope rest of the story stays on similar level. |

| That felt like I was watching a movie. Especially impressed with the sounds in this show, sounds really grand. Watching these 4 episodes remind me why I really liked early chapters of Frieren. What a great adaptation. |

| Let's see. Good visuals except for the offensive spells for some reason, and I find the character designs a bit, how should I say it, childish? No that's not it, but they look like they are in a series for kids, but not bad. The sound is equally good, even if no aspect of it is truly memorable. The plot, well, that's not what matters, there isn't much of it, it's the fleshing out of the characters through flashbacks and the main character thinking about her past and relationships and stuff. Decent slice of life so far, I see why people, especially those that are emotional, like it so much. |

| The Elf is over a 1000+ years old, and she still behaves like a kid at times 🤣 Even the Dwarf guy is getting too old to on another journey with them. It's kind of depressing being an Elf from this point of view, unless you can live totally unattached to the world and people, it's kind of hard to live on for so many years while everything around you keeps changing |
| hello people of the future, yes this seems like a great anime. Perhaps one of the masterpieces. Or maybe that's an over exaggeration, but either way, it presents lifelong questions or something like that. In a beautiful way too. Something good about frieren, the character, is that she seems to adapt pretty well to the new environment around her despite social changes going on. Or maybe she doesn't need to try too hard? |

| Frieren has a cute grumpy sleepy face heh Seems nice to clean up a beach. They sure could use a proper lighthouse to stop ships crashing in. Viewing the sunset isnt so much about the view but the shared experience is what she managed to realize. A ten year journey? Fern better hope Frieren finds a spell to make it shorter if she asks |
