| Monogatari's "Off Season" needs to be listed as a sequel to "Final Season" or at the very least, a side story. I think there was originally confusion over when it took place but I believe we can now call it a sequel at this point. | @kitsune0 not sure how relevant those genre definitions are to current MAL, considering it defines shounen and shoujo by genre tropes rather than demographics Also the currently used romance definition is too strict and by current logic it should be removed from the majority of series, like action or adventure series. |

And then there are examples of usual themes, nothing wrong with that.Shounen - Anime that are targeted towards the "young boy" market. No, it's not, it's right how it needed to be. "Romance" is the most overused genre tag on MAL, and yes, it should be removed from some series where it's not one of main themes. That's the reason why we don't tag every series with school sport festival event as "Sport", why we don't tag every series with bath or onsen episode as "Ecchi", and the list goes on, all the while "Romance" too often silently slips under radar. The only other tag that applies for even an episodic appearance is "Hentai", and I don't see any reason why "Romance" must be getting almost the same treatment. |

| @Jerkhov Actually, it's because it began its serialization in Weekly Shounen Jump and later was moved to Ultra Jump, and MAL keeps the demographic of the first magazine it was serialized but it shows the last magazine it was serialized into. |
