| Yay, Haruka's turn!~ She's my favorite ^__^ I also believe this episode was very rushed, and lost a lot of impact @__@ Especially that bench scene. They really need to ease into each girl's route better than this.. ;__; |
| Good start to my favorite arc. I'm glad to see they toned down the bench scene, since it was a little silly for her to go crazy about a bench... it made more sense in the student council room. |

| Yeah, I've pretty much stopped caring what others think about this show... at least Japan is buying it up so its guaranteed a sequel, and they are all that really matter IMO. For me, I'm really enjoying seeing my favorite VN animated, and thats enough for me. |

| I thought it was fine, and apparently (as of as I type this) the vast major of voters feel the same as about 65% gave this episode a 5/5 and another 15% a 4/5. (shrug) it's okay if you don't like it, but I just felt the need to point out that it seems most people liked. |

| they skipped literally half of harukas arc. Komari had scenes in the anime with Riki where shes slowly piecing the information together and goes from genki to melancholic at times. Mio had scenes under the tree where she foreshadows her motives, and you can tell something is wrong. HARUKA HOWEVER goes from straight genki to outbursting without ANY TRANSITION. where the hell did those random glimpses of her worrisome expression go? the random encounters in the hallways where she's randomly pissed off and doesnt want to talk to anybody? the Headphone scene, Cake scene, and visiting her house all takes place BEFORE the bench scene. why are they rearranging the events? i looked at the preview pictures and was relieved to see that the last picture was of the bench scene and i had thought they were going to end this episode with that as the climax. (The bench scene was painful because of the tone and atmosphere created surrounding haruka's memories. she spent like 10 minutes explaining to Riki why the bench was so special to her in the VN as opposed to "oh yea im a public maintenance officer and this bench is better than the others") Nope they decided to just grab the middle of her arc and throw it on a canvas as hard as they could. there's absolutely no delicacy! i hate how they toned down everything and decided to drown it with unfitting music.. anime kanata is so weak.... Feels like a god damn show intended for kids.VERY JC STAFF LIKE. |

| FFFUUU Director! this is why i wish the arcs were 4 episodes instead of 3 so we don't feel like everything is crammed together though to be fair even though i understand why they toned it down a bit one of my favorite parts of this arc was Haruka's emotion just how bat shit crazy she sounded to the point were it kinda gave me chills i just pray the *Rain* is done really well and i might restore a bit of faith again arc isn't off to a terrible start it just could have been better in not feeling forced at some points. |

| Wow, I just remembered, Do you know what this adaptation of routes reminds me of? You see when you patch the english patch for Little Buster on the Little Busters EX you lose your access to the H-scenes and if you try to access a Sex scene it takes you straight to the middle of the route. Komari - the morning of the day she sees the dead cat Haruka - the day of bench fiasco etc. lol... |

Her route took me 3-4 hours to complete, so compressing it to this extent was pretty lame for me. I also mentioned Futaki's portrayal being much different in the anime as in the VN. Everything is rushed, so there's less screentime for every single character, which makes things like Futaki being a total bitch in the beginning, and then not as bad in the end seem too quick and forced. I also lol'd at what blasterion said. In terms of adaptations, in my opinion. Mio>Komari>Haruka(so far...)in terms of overall quality for anime watchers In terms of closeness to the VN: Komari>Mio>Haruka Too much of the story was dumped out of Mio and Haruka's routes, even though I enjoyed them in the VN more than Komari's. |

| The bench scene gave me some shivers, but i legitimately shed more than 1-2 tears, and teared through the whole flyers issue. It hit me pretty damn hard... |

| I was expecting Haruka's dad looks like a punk or something closer to a punk but it turned out into a recycled design of Kyousuke. And I'm the only one who's getting annoyed at the Air-like OST? They always keep using it every episode until as I think they're bragging about it because it's their original anime OST. |

| I really do want to play the visual novel, but isn't it better to wait for the ME translation (not interested in EX's h-scenes)? I don't want to have to play through the whole game twice to read the EX routes (and I believe there's extra content for the main routes as well). I don't mean to distract from the discussion of this episode; just an answer or two would be fine. |

Anyway, playing its VN until Refrain is still worth it yet if you're really concerned about the extra contents on Haruka's path and Kud's path, it's up to you. |

The entire VN is like 50 hours and they are likely gonna take 39 episodes for the adaption. 3 episodes is right on pace... asking for any more is unreasonable. Its not like this is some long running battle shonen which has unlimited episodes to do whatever they want. They're on a limit. |

| A lot of people are saying how disappointed they are, but I don't share the same opinion. It did transition rather quickly, but it's not the first episode where Kanata and Haruka had a face-off, so it's fine I think. Not much to say here, but as a VN reader, I think the episode was done quite well. Haruka route in 3 episodes does seem rushed, but I'll save that judgment for when the route is over. Oh, and: RIP Benchy TT~TT Edit: On reading through some of the earlier comments more thoroughly, I have to add something... SERIOUSLY GUYS? I'm not trying to start a flame war, nor am I belittling anyone's opinion, but I seriously can't help but feel some of the VN readers are acting like spoiled brats. The sheer hate that's coming across is astounding, and this is episode 16 for crying out loud. Some of you are acting a little overprivileged, don't you think? How the hell was this episode as bad as you're making it out to be? Reading these comments feels like episode 1 all over again. |

The fact they are actually animating everything makes it a great VN adaption, since the majority of them only do 1 route... I can't think of many VNs other than Key stuff that actually got full adaptions... Steins;Gate, and nothing else comes to mind.. People should be happy we're getting a full adaption instead of just skipping everything but the main story in the first place. |

| Overall, a very good episode for me. I can't understand why some people here doesn't like it. It is just that Bench-kun lacked some "character development" so his death was a bit rushed for me. (I just hope that Door-kun will not suffer the same fate lol) Anyway, I can't wait to see the rest of the route as Haruka's route is my favorite :P |
