| for popularity, then tiktok for sure. a lot of businesses have moved to tiktok to expand their brand. plus more people are on there than instagram. i've asked literal 5 year olds and they're on tiktok, but obviously not instagram. so to reach a wider audience, hence leading to a faster gain of popularity, then i'd choose tiktok for that purpose. |

| Instagram is a dumping ground for reposts from other sites and is also for vein assholes to post pictures of themselves. Whereas TikTok provides a constant stream of short entertaining videos curated by a fantastic algorithm. TikTok is the only other social media site I consume besides YouTube. |

| i was never satisfied with my tiktok algorithm, it kept pushing me into self-destructive stuff, and less diverse with reels since i already had shaped my algorithm by who i follow and what i like i didnt have to build it from the ground up, and things usually stay more diverse and down to earth and less toxic and more funny i know i might be missing out sometimes cuz tiktoks bigger but i feel like i just dont wanna deal with it seems to be a hassle to get a sensible algorithm |
