Damn, so now we have Vivy only remembering herself as Diva, and now she has reunited with Matsumoto, and now they have to prevent the tragedy that is about to befall Ophelia; definitely excited to see what's next!

Didn't expect Diva to get a fatal error to the point she would reboot and lose her memories, yet she is pretty much a star now. What will happen if she gets back those memories? She wasn't performing on the main stage yet during the Metal Float incident.

And something is getting weird with the timeline here, how did the dude she saved 2 times appear as his younger self? (unless that's his son or smth..)

Ophelia is cute so I wonder what would push her to suicide. The wait until next week will be a painful one.

The flexing with the opening songs, I adore how much they keep managing to insert them as just part of the things happening.

I was so not freaking ready for this version of Vivy, the whole episode felt so wrong to watch her being like that... which I guess is the whole point, and it was amazingly done that way.

She really couldn't handle what happened on the metal float q_q that rebooted version of her has a really different personality, but a lot of the things she says are basically parts she heard from the people she meet before that event, big fan of the "do you want to get turned into a calculator?"

Wew, so Vivy is 61 now hella legal robowaifu, this means that 35+ years have passed since the metal float event, and that Vivy has been current Diva more than her old self, always keeping that unease about the locked memories she knows she has.

Considering all the time that has passed... is the man who showed up the son of the Toak guy she rescued multiple times? either that or some robotic shenanigans.

I loved the talk between Matsumoto and Vivy, looks like they will be working together again despite her current situation.

Great build up episode, super curious about Ophelia's character (what a cute) and for what could happen in the other timeline that lead to her suicide in this event, time for seven more painful days of waiting.

I don't think Vivy is gone from Diva... just dormant in a sense...until the time is right. The two can't fully co-exist at the same time without tripping up her AI mandate. I believe Matsumoto is trying to avoid avoid breaking Diva again for some reason yet to come. I'm also suspecting based on what the real Matsumoto said in EP1 that this isn't first attempt at this time loop. If that's the case then Diva has to remain in the condition that impacted the real Matsumoto to cause him to execute the time loop again if things go south.

The evolved is Diva is quite refreshing from her old wooden self. It's the experiences of Singularity have pushed her evolution forward with human emotions and communication. To finally sing "from the heat". That never would have happened doing the mundane daily NiaLand routine.

Every episode makes it more and more obvious Matsumoto is an antagonist and is manipulating Vivy. Ten bucks says he also erased her memories from last time and that we'll see the events leading up to her memory erasure, later in a future episode.

this episode sure was a burh moment it all came together once our cube came back but at first i was like this is way to drastic of a change even after all the years that had pass almost like she became a different AI but turns out that error really did cause her to shut down and reformat into doing her old "mission" .

i miss VIVY Diva is good but parts of her actions go beyond feeling reckless and she seems like she could easily be dangerous with her personality now D: and the snapping

Another great episode, also they really made another new OP for this one and incorporated it into the show itself as a part of Diva singing.

Ophelia is adorable, also her singing was amazing.

I think that is the son of the Toak guy, he was already an old man by the Metal Float incident, so he would be much older now, which means that's either his son, or Diva is hallucinating figments of her memory, like her Vivy memories trying to resurface by showing her stimulus.

The construction of that tower hasn't really proceeded any further which means the Metal Float incident did cause some amount of pushback against advancement of AI as Matsumoto wanted, however, it also worsened the relationship between humans and AI. Ophelia's suicide would probably serve as a bridge to unite both sides.

It would be interesting to see WHY Ophelia tried to commit suicide, because if she's doing it because she was under pressure then the media spin would be that the abuse from humans made AIs breakdown. But I have a feeling that an AI or someone related forces Ophelia to commit suicide as a means to perhaps somehow bring back the advancement of AI back on track. Will have to wait and see.

I guess data from Estella has massively affected Diva's new personality. I think Diva's dialog script in this episode is very similar with both Estella's and Elizabeth's from episode 3 and 4, and also think the new personality is in the middle of somewhat mixed one from both of them.

Slow episode but at least we're able to absorb everything new happening. This episode felt different than the rest, probably because of Vivy's new personality, which I both like and hate at the same time. It's good that she's more positive and easy going but it felt like it's not her. I did find it cute how she reacts like a real person now.

Anyway, that new guy. Seems like the son of the Toak dude that keeps appearing every time. Vivy's 61 years old, I think, so that guy is really old now. I'm curious what's his connection with Vivy and why he's always involved.

so now Matsumoto doesn't need Vivy's help?

okay, so now I am kinda getting an idea of what they are trying to do, so basically they are trying to prevent/alter some certain AI incidents to rectify what is gonna happen 100 year later. but what would guarantee that these sort of accidents won't happen again in the future, especially that the AI numbers are increasing and becoming embedded in their community??? hope there will be something on this in later episodes otherwise it will just sound so stupid.

note: there will always eventually be a conflict between AI and human if they continue to see that everything (e.g. suicide, accidents etc) AIs do is considered an issue/error/problem.

Almost mistaken to alternate timeline on the opening but to see android that do stretches just an odd sight honestly.

The plot got confuse with Matsumoto kept dismissing Diva, kind of subtlety uveal because she lost Vivy's memory due to the error but his tone sound suspicious when explaining his mission, as if he tries to trigger her curiosity and get her onboard but still get in argument to refuse her and the only reason he was convinced because he ruined her mood to sing... that reasoning felt like a cheap, yet effective slap.

Episode is not bad but could've been smoother.

Vivy's back to her old self as Diva? NANI???

The hard reboot from the Metal Float incident of Vivy leading to her original musical Diva self, and into the Zodiac Fes. The bridge between humans and A.I. lingering (but not to a serious threat like the previous episodes), and this Ophelia character...protect her at all costs, even for a predecessor A.I. who's likeable in every category, even more so with her singing.

The fastview of the guy whom looked like the one that she saved time and time again (the Toak guy), and the momentary reunion with Matsumoto in its cube fashion which revealed of Vivy's loss of memories, and what is possibly the same type of incident: Ophelia's suicide (which looking back at the Hotel Sunrise incident of Estella, is eerily kind of similar).

The same prevention measure...written all over again???

Great episode. It seems that Tappei and Umehara has given a lot of thought to the story. First AI laws, then AI rampage, then AI marriage, and then AI suicide. It's that we looking all the human elements applied to an AI in a fantastic way. Looking forward to new Vivy and Matsumoto's collab to prevent Ophelia's suicide.

I am a little disappointed with how Vivy lost her memory, now if she introduced to what we already know ones again, then why do that at all?
Overall a solid episode, I liked new opening, probably not as much as the first one. Ophelia character kind of irritates me, but I hope they will be able to save her, even thought I don't know how she affects the future.

I thought this episode was fantastic! I loved the memory loss after rebooting thing. That's pretty interesting and something different for a change. The concept isn't original but the way it was done is certainly intriguing. I feel myself drawn to this show episode after episode. I keep thinking, there's no way they could top that and they pull out the slow and well paced episode to completely throw me off. I love it! Keep this fascinating story up, I'm intrigued!

Fantastic episode! It's so jarring to see Vivy suddenly become such a cheerful person after what happened last episode, I wonder how many years have passed since then, I am guessing 30-40 years probably, with how they showed those pictures.

With how the last episode ended, it makes sense why Vivy's memory would just break. Diva saying that those memories she lost must be precious is sad, there probably is some precious memories in there, but most of it is downright depressing. But, she has to remember eventually. I do like how confident Diva is, now she needs to protect Ophelia. Ophelia is adorable plus her singing is amazing.

The change in OP is nice and meaningful to me as well, Sing My Pleasure was pretty important, so she must have locked it away too with her memories as it was Grace's favorite song. Really looking forward to the next episode.

I can't believe Vivy lost her memories! I'm not sure I like her new personality after the reboot - I loved her when she was elegant, reserved and gentle. Hopefully she'll regain her memories during the new mission and return to her old self. I have to say though, it was so satisfying to see her back Matsumoto into a corner like that.

That was quite the personality change. So that error shown at the final moments of last week's episode really had massive consequences. I don't think it will be lost forever, as it clearly stated that they are repressed.

I do like this Diva personality though, she's a lot more confident and shows a lot more emotion after the 12 years since the island incident. The fact that one of the lids on her memories opened after Matsumoto showing up and calling her Vivy and even though she's Diva, her combat reflections are still there. That test by falling of the building was a pretty smart move to get Matsumoto to tell her who or what she is.

Loved how she "played" catch with him again as well, just like the earlier episodes, but this time around she got him.

Ophelia is pretty damn cute and reminds me of a certain Uma Musume girl.

New OP. We skip to another era and Vivy has been rebooted. Now just known as Diva who can sing on main stage. She only has lingering memories such as that Toak terrorist, her combat program, and Matsumoto's name being fitting of the cube.

61 years old? Maybe the Toak terrorist became a cyborg, or it is his descendant. Perhaps even cryogenics?

What could cause Ophelia to commit suicide?

New episode. New vibe. Lots of interesting comments posted on this forum. The whole reboot thing was unexpected but it should be fine. I'm hoping Vivy get's her memories back. Matsumoto was a little less like his usual self. I would have expected him to be more pushy and talkative but he was just kind of evasive and subservient. This might be a long reach but maybe he doesn't have as much confidence since the story is advancing closer to his own time? Also is it possible to run into another matsumoto?

vivy is really improving on her singing career. from someone performing in a small stage with no audience, to having a full concert being showcased outside the venue and having her own staff team. insane. she also seemed to develop a more "human" personality, same as other ai's they Look and Feel more humane

its been 61 years .. we're getting real close to that 100 year mark. vivy seemed to forget who matsumoto is because of an error she made after the last mission. and "ophelia's suicide" ? ai's are so humane now that they can even commit suicide damn

It took 6 episodes to resolve 3 singularities (2 episodes per singularity) and now we're left with 6 eps to deal with the last singlrty and whatever event that occurs after that to end the show.
The pacing and flow of the anime is magnificent 10/10
"Manga readers are annoying, all they do is complain or spoil the anime we discuss in an anime forum.
They should really do their whining at manga forums.

Vivy seems like forgetting everything about last episode.. Seems like she got rebooted after the last accident which render her malfunctioning (high probability).
leading to her getting amnesia (her memories erased). Interestingly enough, it seemed that matsumoto did not want to involve Diva anymore. Maybe due to the fact that Diva was prone of going very emotional with her mission.
One thing I hate the most from this series is ..before I know it end; and I had to wait another week to see the arc conclusion

So Vivy doesn't remember anything because she was Rebooted after Freeze. A new problem and mission, the first problem in history is AI suicide. The two of them, Diva and Matsumoto must prevent Ophelia's suicide. I like the interaction between Diva and Matsumoto.
