We're finally in the main story and I'm already loving Oda. He's a realistic representation of short volleyball players. Everything in general is very realistic, and that may be a turn off for many people who expected an anime like Haikyuu. But not me, as I'm a sucker for realism. .

As a 5’4 OH/DS, I second this. To me, he’s probably the most relatable character we’ve met so far. Oda is a breath of fresh air. He isn’t super unrealistic either about how he’s going to be the best volleyball player despite his height. He acknowledges this fact and is down to earth about it.

I may had missed something but I still don't understand why everyone was upset with Haijima... He saved the team, they talked shit behind his back and somehow he's the bad guy? He's the reason Yuni fails? like whaaat?
Yuni is freaking annoying, I much prefer Oda over him.

So Yuni acknowledged he fucked up last episode but didn't even try to apologize to Haijima... and then, almost an entire year has passed.

Honestly, the pacing is being handled pretty inconsistently so far. Also, not really a fan of how Haijima was portrayed as the bad guy here when he had all the right not to want to join the Volleyball team in the first place. Yuni failed him and the others talked shit behind his back and now Yuni is the victim because Haijima makes him fail? Come on...

The pacing is still a little crazy but besides that, it was a good episode. Oda and Aoki are a good addition to the cast.

I understand now why the show's title has 2.43 in it, it's the height of the net, that's cool.

So that’s where the name 2.43 came from. I didn’t expect Kuroba to lose on purpose. Looks like Haijima joined the team.

Wow just found out 2.43 is the height of the Net... I didn't even know that.

I like the Captain Oda, he is really passion about Volleyball dispite his short height...

Haijima as always his setter are Nasty πŸ”₯

I can't wait to see the development of Kuroba... He just need to overcome his fear...

Also i love how everyone except Haijina speaking in another Dialect.. it just sounds funny to me

Now they are in Seiin, the main plot is starting and it's interesting already...

The manlet guy should be the main character not yuni. This show is good so far, but if frustrates me. Yuni is such a dick, and I don't know how Hajima is still pulling for him. Like I get maybe Hajima could have been less harsh, but shit talking him and ditching him while barely showing remorse or at least trying to apologize? This show will only go as high as the main character takes it.

I sort of feel like I should give this more of a chance to see if the drama is good now that it's fully setup, but the thing is I don't want these characters to win. They're all such assholes. Sure the show will probably be about them getting over it, but I'm not enjoying being around them.

Ep: the show begins.

12 eps, start at ep 3.

Yeaaaaaaaah ... the pacing isn't messed up AT ALL !
I'm wondering if this a case of a terrible adaptation, with a manga taking its time to tell its tale while the animated version can't do the same thing and everything's rushed to the point of being ... messed up. :/

Wow wtf was this episode supposed to be lol. It was rushed and things felt off. So much happened in one episode but there was no impact at all, meh.

Well at least this episode was a lot better than the last. For some reason I thought it was a flashback in the beginning and I have no idea why. I ended up realizing it was real time when I saw Kuroba(lmao). Anyways, I got a little teary-eyed when Kuroba admitted he wanted Hajima on the team again.

It was kinda confusing at first but later I got the knack of it.

Really like the new characters. Thanks to Oda and Aoki the tension between Yuni and Haijima dissolved.

When Aoki just went and kicked Haijima was really cool, also Haijima kinda deserved it. He should stop belittling other players.

When Haijima was screaming “Tatakae Tatakae!!” to Yuni, Eren screaming “Tatakae Tatakae” to Mikasa flashed in my head XD

Umehara Yuuichiro sounds really fine as Aoki ◐.̃◐

Aoki's actions really made me think he might like Oda but at the end tho, “Ulterior motives” I hope what I'm thinking is correct (◐∇◐*)

Nice episode.

I'm ngl that I didn't pay attention that the name of the anime was related to the net's height. Interesting!

I just loved the senpai who set up the plan with Yuni. I can't memorize any of the new boys' names yet. Probably my favorite part of the episode.

I'm glad that Yuni didn't give up on volleyball and Haijima is also going to join the team.

The blond guy who also plays rugby is annoying but I think he'll change his attitude later on. Well, at least I hope xD

The pacing was a bit off but for the most part I was able to enjoy the episode. The fast pace makes sense for an 12-episode anime at least.

It’s refreshing to see character conflict handled without repeated miscommunication. When Yuni was purposefully trying to lose the match, I got pretty frustrated with Chika as well at how little he had changed but it turned out it was just part of the plan LOL. I like how the show did not really put YΕ«bi or Chika as the guilty party and instead showed how they were both responsible for their falling out.

None of the other members stand out to me yet besides Oda and Aoki. Their dynamic is entertaining and I’m curious what Aoki’s “ulterior motive” is.

Great episode, looking forward to episode 4!

tbh this anime has pretty incosistent pacing... like they keep time skipping and doing shit right after they introduce a plot point and it feels pretty messy. we learnt the reason for the name of the anime and its pretty interesting i gues. also, wtf is up with the all characters accents in this episode lmao i was laughing so hard.
it's fukui accent, but yeah i still think the accent is a little bit forced for each character. And yeas i agree with the inconsistent pacing. The timeline feels kinda messy

It took half of the episode to understand that they are in high school now, apparently??? Like im still bit confused because the pacing is so weird.

Haijima deserved that kick xD he was being so disrespectul, so kind of glad he was toned down. Kuroba needs to get out of his head, like I really doubt that sport teams keeps players that are not valuable in the main matches.

Its like we are back to square one.

Kuroba is the worst, it really frustrates me. How could he just give up after one match and not show up the next day?
You don't compare yourself to an experienced player from the first match itself.
