| Fantastic episode! Missed out on this episode throughout last week but getting the opportunity to watch 2 episodes in a raw (with Episode 22 right after this post) isn't too bad an idea either, especially given the cliffhanger! I'd a feeling that Taichi would come out 2nd best against Arata but skipping the whole match and then dropping that bombshell in the end was quite startling, to say the least. I hope we'll get more on this next episode. Chihaya's miseries as a result of being beaten yet again by the likes of Taichi was a nice little addition. I'll never get tired of those, xD. Props to the VA for nailing it too! Good to see that she's back strong as ever. Emptiness huh? Sounds like a double-edged sword to me first up... Murao isn't done just about yet either, great to see! You really can't predict what's going to happen in Karuta, I suppose. Condolences to Retro-kun too, by the way. I hope he'll come to realise one day, that of his favourite fan. |

| I don't know if I want to hurt more, because I can feel Taichi's one tear, if I'm emotional at this SuoxTaichi growth, TaichixArata happiness (that they get to play each other, and not feel the pressure of "winning"..like our bois had a good time), or if I'm emotional as hell because, ... the symbolism. Taichi gave the Chihaya card, and despite playing his offensive karuta, he lost. Not sure if he lost the game, or the author telling us subliminally, he won't be able to win Chihaya (and her overly dense self). Tbh, I wonder, if the kick he will need to win is to confess, and stop holding so many things in that will weigh him down. If Chihaya's all empty, Taichi's all weight. |
| A match with Taichi and Arata. Can't say I saw that one coming. Also it's really out of character for Suo to show up to a match; I guess he took an interest in the two of them. Poor Taichi. The guy can never catch a break. |

| Shippers , you are annoying. Chhaya is not unaware , she just wants to play karuta with her friends , not being a reason these 2 fight for ages. Chihaya x Shinobu is the best pairing anyway. Embrace the modernity. |

| Depressing to see Retro lose from such a insufferable opponent but I guess it sort of helps none of his teammates had any expectations and also a girlfriend who supports him. Quite the sorrowful end there with Taichi shedding a tear while Suo is gulping down his snacks |

| As impossible as it is, I wonder how Arata would react to Taichi beating him with his own playstyle, but I guess the gap's still too big for just a regular victory. Rough start to the year luck-wise for Taichi. Unexpectedly wholesome how Retro's got a great support system to back him up |
