Oh chaki-chan, thank you so much for your thoughtfulness... those two poems are so significant indeed! Besides the manga, they had a pivotal role even in the live action (although with different context of couse). I've just seen the link you posted in the thread though I have to admit I never had the pleasure to read those commentaries.
It looks really thorough from the way you described it. I've always been fascinated with the tactical aspect of karuta, including the clever line-ups. I'm not familiar enough with Japanese syllables/sounds and the bare technicalities of karuta (if not at a simple, basic level) but one of the reasons why I've liked Taichi's play so much since my early days as a fan was becase he was so resourceful and tactically brilliant, coming up with so many fanastic strategies, some of them not even experienced players were familiar with. He was a pioneer, innovating, bringing his own abilities into a traditional world. (That's part of the reason why I've always thought karuta was much more than a digression in his life but rather something - surprisingly for him - very suitable to hiw own natural and trained qualities). The Yoshino tournament will always be a pinnacle in that regard. I've dreamed about something like that between him and Arata for so long and then... well, we all now how it turned out. Rushed and uncomprehensible writing on the author's part.
I had planned on rewatching the anime before 205 happened (and the third anime season also got postoponed) but in the end I had to let go of the intent... as a walk down memory lane right now feels just too painful. All the good memories, the happy times and the struggles... that's a treasure I'm not ready to "spoil" with the newly born bitterness that came off the recent infamous developments. Maybe later on, I'll feel more confortable with a rewatch, I really really hope so <3 Right now, I feel like my heart would ache out of disappointment for the too many shattered hopes, sigh... I do enjoy going back to single chapters/episodes that I loved though and indeed, everytime I do, I end up discovering something new! That speaks volumes of Suetsugu's artistry. Just why would she throw that arc climax away is still a question mark. But let's not get sad about it.
Please tell me, my friend, are there any particular poem/episode analysis you would recommend from that site? If you have any specific links to share, I'd be glad to check them out as I trust your recommendation and judgement enormously.
You have a way of understading this story that's so insightful and so genuine, I've always found myself in tune with your POV.
Seaweed indeed, oh what a beautiful metaphor... The one between Komano and Kana-chan indeed. Burning desire for something that seems to never come. Salt being so appropriate for comparison, rubbing our wounds and leaving our thirst for happiness unquenched... ah, hopefully there's still some sugar in store!

Chiaki-chan, sorry for the late reply! You're so sweet, dear friend!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart, so thoughtful of you :) <3
***huggles back*** Chapter's about to come in, I hope for some Taichi in it... Missing the old days of Chihayafuru a lot!
How blessed we were with the amazing refill of amusement and inspiration twice a month!

Thank you so much.
Yeah it's a bit hard to find a good manga site nowadays... I am not even sure if MF is still working.
Thank you again.

Hello Chi.
Can you tell me a site to watch anime? The old sites I used to doesn't seem to work anymore.
I wanted to watch "Promise Neverland" but can't find a good site.

Did you notice that all your character favorites are now listed as Marumaru Yamada

Ooh, I remember both of you! I was really engaged in discussion there from 2014~2016 I think. My user was only "Maah" over there, though. Pretty nice to find you over here. Sad that it disappeared :( I check the MAL forum sometimes, but it's not the same thing.

Hello! We have a lot of things in common and I thought we could maybe share some insights! ♥
I think I may remember you from the mangafox forum? I'm not 100% sure though @@

Saw a movie that was worth watching Maquia The Promised Flower Blooms about two women from an immortal race who become mothers One runs off and raises a dead woman's child. The other is forced to bear a Prince's child but is never allowed to see her It examines what a mother really is and how it affects the women who are mothers

Radiant is a mixture of Black Clover and Fairy Tail. It has all the shounen clichés The short idiot boy is the apprentice wizard who cannot get his spells right. The wizards are there to protect people from the monsters called Nemesis which fall in egg form from the sky

I noticed that a new anime Radiant is based on a French manga. Do you know if it is any good?
