Quick Summary - The true meaning behind the latest episode of Gugure! Kokkuri-san.
Kokkuri-san was once a lover with Kohina. After spending many years together she died. He talks about how his life is long and hers isn't. So she got reborn. From the way he spoke. It sounded like he was repeating this hundreds of years. So he has watched his lover die multiple times. She would be reborn as a child and Kokkuri would care for her as a father. No chance to ever be a lover once again. Along with the tragedy of her never remembering him
I knew something was up with the lawyer and confirmed so when Kokkuri said the charm was wearing off. The scene afterwards felt like a tearjerker but it was sorta ruined by the comical moments. I just wished the anime would of taken its serious parts a bit more seriously, but I did really enjoy it overall.
That kid was interesting. Didnt't expect her dad to be dead, I was surprised.
Nice finale. Over-all, this show was really entertaining. Probably my stress-relief of this season. For that alone, it gets a 9 (but then again, part of me wants to give it an 8 cuz some characters never got much screen-time, like Jimeko... never mind)
I might change this later but I will start off by saying that my final grading is a 9/10 and i'm saying that because i was muling over giving it a 10 because of the incredible last episode with the lawyer and the true meaning of why Kokkuri-san is watching over Kohina. What keeps it from a 10 for me is that there is some side characters that didn't get enough development for me but that is it. This is the definition of a laugh and cry series.
Comedy this episode was a bit underwhelming for me, but the episode felt nice regardless. Overall I loved the show, it had me frequently burst out in laughter, 10/10.

Wow this was a really serious episode oO Didn't expect something like that as final. And who was the woman Kokkuri-san thought of? That monologue was really deep.

It's Christmas Eve. Kohina was been tasked to buy a chicken bucket for Christmas but she had seen a remote controlled cup noodles and wanted to buy it using the money for the chick bucket. But A certain geezer had appear before Kohina he looked like a someone would do something not right to a young girl. But Kokkuri-san was actually hiding and watching Kohina in shadows thanks to him Kohina was been saved. And Kohina was ben found out that she was temped to buy the remote controlled noodles instead of the chicken bucket. Then after showing up and beating up the man Kokkuri-san was been noticed that he wasn't normal. Because he got ears, white long hair and a tail and because of that the man got scared at Kokkuri-san but it's the first time somebody got scared on Kokkurisan so he take the situation and scared the man even more! Well at least Kokkuri-san stopped doing it.
So that man was actually a lawyer huh? And he was really a workaholic guy who only thinks excessively about his work that would even use his job as a lawyer to define everything by law. And his true intention about Kohina was actually to ask what girl would like for a Christmas Present. But there's quite a problem her daughter was somewhat hates him because he neglected his job as a Father to his daughter and It's no use asking Kohina because she only cares about Cup Noodles! Good Grief! Kokkuri-san got a plan to do which is to buy a present and throw a party!
The lawyer came to the house and seen his daughter and her name was Noelle. Wait his daughter was an alcoholic? Oh well the label says it's non-alcohol. But It's looks like the daughter was mad at his dad because she didn't see him for so long and she's been left alone by her mother too because of late night work. So the father got worried and get out, But thanks to Kokkuri-san's good luck charm he was been able to talk his daughter. Then the lawyer/father get back to the daughter and talk to her. So she's really mad about Christmas and at his father huh?
But It seems like the father was happy because her daughter noticed him instead of ignoring him though she's mad, quite a masochist huh?
Then the father proposed to throw up a party to make up with his daughter. And Noelle doesn't even mind to have it but she didn't have time... Well Noelle didn't mind about it having a party and she doesn't have time but she prepared it in seconds!
Then the party had started and they eat the chicken bucket together and took a picture as a momentum. But time sure flies and it's time for Kohina and kokkuri-san to leave but the Father asked to wait for him outside because he also needs to go but he would spend quite more time to spend with Noelle then he left her with a reason that he would just get out for a while.
But it's later revealed that the Father just made an excuse to leave his daughter. And Noelle didn't know that his Father will not really come back because the Father revealed that he was actually already dead because he was been involved to an a vehicular accident earlier that day. And the Father also said that his father was a workaholic man that couldn't take care of his child because of busy work so he said to himself he wouldn't be like him but he also ended up like his Father. But before going to the afterlife he decided to see his daughter for once and make a happy memory with Noelle. Well he already made it thanks to Kokkuri and Kohina that he fulfilled his last mission before going to the afterlife. And It appears that Kokkuri knew it all along that he was actually a ghost and Kohina noticed that he didn't have a shadow so she also suspected it. And because the Father was dead Noelle would likely think that what night of Christmas Eve was just a dream but thanks to Kokkuri-san he leaved a photo as a proof of the four of them being together that night. And Inugami was actually been left alone at home who was waiting for Kohina and Kokkuri-san and the chicken bucket that was been eaten. Inugami was also hungry that time. And Shirigaki was out for a date so that's why Inugami was completely left alone huh?
And Now the New Year had come, It means it that it's good to lie down under a Kotatsu while reading, eating drinking,
Or anything else that they liked. But it also means that it's time to clean up the house.
Kokkuri-san was had been a cleaner who doesn't forgive dirt as always but the others doesn't help him though, so Kohina was been set up by Kokkuri because she wouldn't get her New Year's Money so she ended up cleaning up. Inugami called Kohina then he was been asked to help too to throw out the garbage but Inugami blow it up to get rid of it including the entire house so Kokkuri got mad and throw him up into the outer space? Well thanks to Kohina's Family Items the house been fix... Wait a Dragon Ball?
Then the evening comes and it time for New Year's Soba but Inugami wasn't allowed to have it because of what he done so he will just have to smell it as a punishment.
Because it's the New Year it means it's time to visit to the shrine with the gang. Kohina was kinda cute in a Yukata/Kimino.
And It's also time to make wish. on during New Year's Day on a Shrine.
And Kokkuri said that:
"Humans are Fragile, Humans die Easily, It would be painful to say goodbye again,
Our lives are too slow to live with Humans, And too long to be alone."
So Kokkuri-san wished that he could still be together with Kohina and would last forever. Then after that it also time to say what did they wish so they said:
Kokkuri : To be with Kohina (and the others?) Forever. (A nice and a great wish)
Kohina : To have more Cup Noodles amuch as Possible. (As Usual)
Inugami : To be lovey-dovey with is darling (Kohina)
Shiragaki : To Have Money (It was only he think of.)
Tama : A Cute Doll (A Voodoo Doll you want?)
Yamamoto-kun : To learn more about Earth, About the world (I nice one and As expected from an alien.)
Tengu : Different kinds of young Boys (What a lewd gay)
Jimeko : A Friend (I wish she could finally have it, I wish it's Kohina. Wait what's her real name? Does she had one?)
I KNOW THIS IS A VERY LONG POST (ALSO THAT"S WHY THIS WAS INSIDE A SPOILER) BUT I DID IT IN PURPOSE BECAUSE THIS WAS ALMOST MY ONLY POST HERE ON THE FORUM DISCUSSION FOR THE GUGURI KOKKURI-SAN ANIME.
SO PLEASE DON'T MIND ABOUT THIS VERY LONG POST OF MINE.
Now It's over I would really miss this Anime because I had a lot of laughs while watching this.
Because I still didn't have enough Human version of Kohina. I wouldn't mind watching a second season. (If there's a plan to make one.)
I will gonna rate this 8 out of 10 overall. Because I had enjoyed it.
Maybe I will also read the manga, but I can't find it anywhere.

Haters always gonna hate.
But they are all dumb asses who always love to bother unnecessarily.
"Spread the Hate, Spread the Idiocy."
The feels when it was revealed that the lawyer was already dead :(
But a nice ending to an quite entertaining show. If it's true what is being said about Kokkuri and Kohina having been lovers in the past, then a second season to flesh out this story and maybe some of the side characters would be nice!
This episode flew by so fast. It was a nice story to commemorate Christmas even though I was hoping for something related to Kohina finally admitting that she is a girl. I think she will remain a doll :)
Kokkuri-san's wish was beautidul and I hope it gets granted.
I really want to find out if there are any more stories. Guess I'll look at the manga.
Final Score: 8/10 and the tittle for best comedy this season (From the ones I've seen ofc)
The lawyer was hilarious. Sad, but great season final (one of the best so far this season in my opinion).
Honestly there wasn't a single episode I didn't enjoy of Gugure! Kokkuri-san, the comedy was great. Really gonna miss watching it each week, always brightens up my day or makes feel lots of things like this episode did. Looking forward to the specials as well. If it ever gets a season two 100% would watch.
8/10 from me. It had a strong start, got a little bumpy in the middle but then this last episode was great! Especially the last monologue from Kokkuri-san. I really want to read the manga now!

1010 series 10/10 epiode i loved everything though the last episode was heartwarming and sad all at once i love how this series was able to flip the switch from comedy to tragedy to happiness. Imo best comedic anime this year
In this episode, the lawyer was hilarious. Kohina with the noodles toy too. A funny episode as usual. I liked the end when you see again all the characters of the show.
I'm still wondering if Kohina was the reincarnation of a girl that Kokkuri once knew and had some kind of bond or relationship with ? because in Kokkuri's flashback at the shrine showed a long haired girl that resembles Kohina, and then Kokkuri says "It would be painful to say goodbye again", too bad they never got to reveal their relationship in the past, we'll know about it in upcoming special episodes perhaps, let's hope so
If i had a wish I'd wish this anime would last forever
has to be one of the funniest ones of the year
great anime I wish thye would make a season 2 but i doubt that T-T
Really wished more episodes were like this and the episode with Kureha, as in them helping people. For something heavy on comedy, the episode hit dem feels. Kinda felt like Natsume Yuujinchou but heavy on the comedy. Well with the show over, it's kinda late to hope for it. Enjoyed what it had. Kinda wished they had more episodes with the side characters.
parfaited said: lmao Inugami destroying everything because everything besides Kohina is garbage to him.
For some reason I've found him particularly funny these last few episodes.
This series was not exactly hilarious all through to me but I did get some laughs and some randomly unusually melancholic moments like the lawyer part... just wow, kind of came out of left field there.
Yeah lol that Inugami...I was like why the fuck did he do that. Kohina was not amused. But I agree, I started finding him funnier towards the end. At the beginning I just thought he was annoying.
Also agree with the comedy, there some lol moments, but most of the time the humor wasn't my taste or I would just kind of smile/chuckle. And then the lawyer part. I think I would've actually cried if it weren't for the comedy that was still present in that reveal scene. I actually was wondering why Kohina went "hmm?" I though something was wrong with the lawyer's feet/shoes or something XD But anyways, I did enjoy this overall, and Kohina's cuteness will be missed, as well as Kokkuri pretty much being the straight man, Shigaraki's chillness, and Inugami's weirdness (but he's cute in puppy form).
The lawyer was a riot! His daughter was also hilariously adorable. Tsundere to the max! Was surprised to see he was a ghost actually. Kinda sad in a way. :<
Then poor Inugami was there waiting for them to return alone, followed by him "taking out the trash" and getting mutilated/shrunk in the following scene. xD
This was definitely one of my favorite comedies this season. Certainly wouldn't mind a season 2! Here's hoping!
That Was A Good Ep i'll give the Anime 7/10
Cuz i'm really Sad that They didn't get more
in the story :( i wanted to know where is
Kohina's Parents and how do she live and from
where do she get the money to live o.o
but in this last ep when kukuri was saying his
wish they showed us a woman with long black hair
i think this is Kohina's Mother Cuz he was
saying 'it would be painful to say Goodbye *again*'
he met kohina's mother and she entrusted her to him
so thats why he was always watching her from before
he meet her so that he could flufil his promise
or something like this.. maybe that was kohina in the future
and I'm just overthinking about it :p
anyway just wanted to say what i was thinking xD
Hope it get second season ^o^
The lawyer dad story was hilarious at first...but when everything was revealed, it went really really sad...I didn't expect that he was already dead T__T
Kokkuri's "'it would be painful to say Goodbye AGAIN' oh man, feels
Episode divided between serious and melancholy moments that alternate with the more lighthearted and fun.
Anime that the end is not a masterpiece, but had moments of epic historical narrative.
Bellino in its simplicity, cute characters, not yet all developed as well to Kokkuri-san.
Drawings cute, a little rough at times but not bad.
Soundtrack very beautiful, so also the opening and the ending.
Who knows if there will be a second season, for now I give a provisional vote of 6/10!
Hilarious and actually very lovely! Really liked the xmas atmosphere in this episode and with a quite lovely ending I can't say much more than that this anime was superb! I really loved the overall hilarious random humor and especially her lovely smile <3 the way all the characters formed and came together were just great as well and I really found this one hell of a great anime! 9/10
Sidenote: for a second she looked like jigoku shoujo when she was praying at that altar.
The A part caught me by surprise, nice, if somewhat depressing for a Christmas-themed episode. B part was alright. 3/5.
To be honest, I really liked the first couple of episodes, but somehow the show seemed to lose steam very fast afterwards, and the last few episodes were a real drag to get through. Too bad, Kohina was cute and I liked Kokkuri-san. 6/10.
Kind of heavy story for the last episode though kind of sweet I guess, well it was good for a change of pace :)
I wonder who the long haired girl was, who was seen being overlapped with Kohina? Maybe a (deceased) friend of Kokkuri? Anyway nice touching moment with Kokkuri wishing this time now would last forver, poor him though since everyone else was wishing for completely other things.
Nice anime, cute and funny at times, very enjoyable :)
