| Damn, on my second watch this is still just as heartwrenching! I am watching HxH with my mom now and she legit raged at that last scene. I love how invested she is in this. And next week we'll get to see a certain character, who I compared my mother to once. It'll be fun to see her reaction when she's revealed. |
| This is the first time that Gon and Killua can not beat an enemy and are depressed, including Killua. OMG Kite who was beaten by Neferpitō! |

| Gon's optimism is so pure and innocent that it made me tear up a lot because he's still shining as bright as he can even if everyone knows that the actual situation is one of pure hopelessness if they think about it logically. Him setting a goal to save Kite, confident that he survived in the condition he was in and is in hiding (not to mention him getting the worst roll he could've gotten against a Royal Guard), only made the reveal of his death hurt even more. The back-up is here but they came too late. At the very least, Kite had remembered to bestow Gon Ging's license before he passed on... |

| Damn. Just like that they are out of the NGL. Gon is a total dumbass tho. There was no way Kite was surviving. Feelsbadman. Seems so early in the arc to lose someone so major. |

I felt connected to Kite now and he was so badass in the past episodes it felt like he wasn't going to die, and boom, just like that he's dead... How fucking strong is Neferpitou?!? I'm not even sure that the 3 hunter bosses will be able to kill her, but I sure hope they do. Justice for Kite!!! |

| I didn't thought they will encounter royal soldier that soon. Didn't like how that hunter underestimate klua, hope to see him facing neferpitou and regret what he said. For a minute I thought that gon will do what seen in the opening but after the ending I understand better the spoiler, i'm so excited~~! |

| Interesting wordplay, the episode is called Light x and x Darkness, but I'm pretty sure it was a metaphor for Gon and Killua. I can't believe they showed Kite's head like that, Jesus... 5/5 |

| Before watching this series, I've seen many spoilers about Kite's death (those twitter/facebook posts with this caption "anime characters with huge potential that died"), but I didn't expect him to die in such a brutal way. Can't wait to see Gon and Killua get stronger. |

| This is damn depressing episode but really makes this arc more and more interesting |
| One of the best episodes so far. It has been a thrilling ride. The defeat feels like a major reality check. The Ants are incredibly strong. It seems like we'll leave things the way it is while Gon and Killua get stronger from here. Such a shame a story this good doesnt have a final conclusion yet after all these years as the manga is on a long (possibly endless) hiatus. I'll probably take a break from binging this show for a while, that episode was a tough one to take. |
| What a depressing ass episode. I can't explain what was I feeling during this episode. The lingering feeling of something bad's about to happen was always there within me. And, yes, it happened. Killua and Gon weren't strong enough and they got in Kite's way and Pitou was too strong for even him. The strong ones are here but it's too late... RIP Kite. I loved watching you with the boys and teaching them experiences. T-T |

| Yup, of course he died. Honestly, I'm tired of so many characters dying constantly. It no longer makes me feel anything. That combined with the fact that it's another arc with the formula of "Gon and Kil go to a new place, have some fun, suddenly get beaten up, have to train with someone new" have made this arc a horrible experience for me so far. |
