| There may not have been a confession but what we got was extremely close and great in its own way, that final scene on the playground that was paired with the reveal that Komura met Mie as kids was very well done, a truly great bit to end the anime on. I think it’s safe to say Komura will be remembered by Mie lol, this man has made more of an impression on her than any other which was evident by her elementary school classmate, and after that scene of when they were kids I think it could be written in the stars. And that was the end, and despite what folks said around the middle of this anime, I truly loved this from beginning to end, one of my favorites from the summer season. Komura never seemed that cringe to me (and even when he was it was funny lol) and the whole running gag of Mie forgetting her glasses stayed consistently fun for me too due to the unique situations she’d keep ending up in because of it, and the progression of their relationship was amazing to see over the course of the show, it’s a truly unique relationship too, never seen one quite like it before and I’ve seen a lot of romance anime, and once again a big part of it is because of Mie forgetting her glasses. And of course I want to mention I absolutely loved the art and animation style of this show, the 2D characters over the 3D backgrounds looked beautiful to me, this is another thing a lot folks weren’t into and I was one of the people that was immediately captivated by it, I guess it’s something not everyone can get into but I loved it myself. And the OP was hands down one of the bests of the summer season, such a fun and catchy jam with some great visuals to go with it, and the ED is very cute and also a fun song, you can’t go wrong with Masayoshi Oishi either, loved hearing him sing with Mie and Komura’s VAs. I’d absolutely love if this show got a 2nd season, I’d be there in a heartbeat. |

I really didn't understand why people hated this, it's just a fluffy rom com like any other that are aired every season. | Show was okay except for the MC constantly putting himself down like a scrub. Probably won't have to wait long for a "cute Mie-san sounds" compilation to pop up. It also made me go back and make sure I wasn't crazy when I swore that Studio GoPro re-used the same design from SYD for the restroom and save for a couple of changes it's basically the same thing. They've been using the same animation techniques since the beginning though so what's a recycled background or two?   |
| mie hasn't changed at all since she was a lil kid lol komura was thinking a lot this episode huh. decent ending. show fell off for me because it got too repetitive but still had it's wholesome moments which i liked, no problem with the adaptation itself unlike the majority clowning over the cg. gonna miss some mie cuteness but probably doesn't need another season if it's just more of what we had this, might still check out the manga much later anyway. decent stuff overall, one of those shows without unnecessary drama 6/10 i liked it. |

| Dad-zoned since childhood. Now that's rough. Also, Komura. You could have just proposed the idea of studying together during summer break but whatever. Well, I'm gonna keep it simple. This Komura kid single-handedly ruined the show for me. He was insufferable from beginning to end with his overreactions and cringe/borderline creepy behaviour towards Mie. Such a shame tho, given I really liked Mie's design as well as her quirky personality and voice, and even consider her one of the most adorable characters I have met this year. But yeah... so sad her fate is to be paired up with the most awkward character an author that's not Kanokari's mangaka could have come up with. 3/10 - Not really interested in a sequel if I'm honest. Now an Azuma x Onee-san spin-off on the other hand... |

| Very generic and boring imo. Komura was probably the 2nd worst MC in a romance anime I've seen. Honestly there's way better romance animes out there that I don't think I'll ever think about this one again. Solid 5 for not being offensively bad but rather super average. |

| Aw so they met before in past. Not too clear on if Mie actually remembers because she didnt have her glasses on to not get a good look at Komura back then. Maybe she only recently started realizing that kid was him around the point she started requesting to look at Komura's face. She is looking at him because she is trying to figure out if he was that kid and because she doesnt want to forget him not just because it makes her feel more at ease seeing him. That is the impression i got. Even though a bit repetitive I don't think that's a bad thing in this show because it is to be expected with the plot. |

| That very last scene wrapped up their relationship and the entire series beautifully, another decent romcom anime that was worth watching for this season. 7/10 for this show. |

| Decent show with some nice wholesome moments. At the start I got quite annoyed by the excessive camera angles and the two MC's missing braincells such as Mie's weird habit and Komura cringey obsessive behaviour, but I'm glad there was some improvement where I ended up quite liking Mie as quirky character whereas Komura still felt too annoying at times. |

| Not bad. The animation was weird at first, I also saw some repeating animation(the corridor). The plot is ridiculous to begin with. I'm starting to think she's doing it on purpose. Komura always insecure for whatever reason ever since the beginning until the end. The pacing is slow too it didn't felt like alot has happened its just mie-san forgets her glasses again then Komura helping her again and again. Its a SoL-like romance. The finale is quite weak aswell. There are worse shows out there, and there are better shows than this |

| I was holding out hope for an actual kiss in the seclusion of the playground equipment...especially when they took each others faces in their hands. If it was up to me, Mie would've blurted out "forgive me, Komura-kun!" and just kissed him softly....then his next line would be in voiceover and the (renamed) episode title drop: "The Girl I Like----Likes Me Too."; then cut to them approaching her house, holding hands. (end scene). While the actual finale was fine and I appreciated it, if it had ended with a kiss in this way, I would've been on my feet and cheering aloud. Because shit, girl, if you want it, you're just gonna have to plant one on this dumb, insecure boy....he won't get it otherwise! Thank God for aggressive girls who seize what they want from timid guys or I would've never gotten my first kiss the way I did either. |

| Finally I finished this cumbersome romcom between mcs that lack so much social awareness. I don't really know how you can realistically forget your glasses so many times but here's Mie-chan putting our brains to the test in her oustanding demeanor to lose them consistently. Also, that would be quite the problem in the story right? Like, how was she even able to go from point A to point B without guessing. But even with all that she doesn't come close to how dense Komura is. The best episodes I watched of this series were the ones where the translation didn't work properly so I couldn't read the subtitles of his inner monologues. But considering how wimpy, needy, petty and overall lame they were, that was quite the positive experience (in comparison to how it usually went). Plus, what's with the main characters' constant gasping and groaning? This isn't a shounen or sprts anime where gasping for air is a valid excuse, every time they talked to each other there would be a few second dedicated to that as if they were dogs or something. I dunno, at first I didn't notice but by the end it was quite noticeable. You really have to make their interactions this bad for me to not address the elephant in the room that is the animation. To be honest, while there were a lot of questionable drone shots like the ones you would see on The Sims or some other arquitect dedicated program, it wasn't as bad of an experience as with the studio's prior works. Sure, they are unnecessary but at leastthey were creative enough for a bit until they mostly dropped them. I wonder how many animators had to be in charge of Mie's hair though, that thing had a mind of its own. In any case, was it good? No. Would I recommend it for the little caring and wholesome moments it dropped once in a while? Also no, there are plenty of better options out there. |

| I do love this anime, but I do get frustrated and infuriated on how dense Komura can be... I mean, I was embarrassed and shy like that when I was a child, but they are not. And even when Mie is proactive, it seems futile because Komura can be such a blockhead. Anyway, I would give it a solid 8/10 for Mie alone. |
| Good ending to say the least. After all , we just keep getting good episode but then afterwards we get a lot of cringe ones. This anime started with this random sketches that doesn’t follow a specific coherence and it was pretty much Mei forgetting her glasses and the cycle goes on. Even though we got really good episodes at some point where we saw for example when Mei was crying and she had to vent to him about her deep emotions , but the cons we had in return cant be ignored (like when she wanted to stare him for a while is a nah man , its too much) 6/10. It was my least favorite this season so far , and I think it needs improvement. We need more than just her forgetting her glasses and the scenario repeats, more involvement of side characters cause it feels like they barely even contribute to the anime and showing more of Komura and Mei’s emotional side. Overall, did I enjoy my time? could say it wasnt a bit of a fun watch. Will I watch a sequel? maybe |

| Love the art, the story was simple, but funny. It was nice to see some pure young puppy love, takes me back a little. They could show more of town, but it was still nice to see few buildings, streets and so on. OP and ED were good, songs were nothing special but nice. Likely there won't be second season, but I would watch more or more anime with same art by same studio. |
