Well, this is going to be really fun. I can assure that Oda has done pretty good things so far on Wano, so I can´t wait to see them properly animated.
The pacing is going to be an issue (as always) but on this episode was bearable imo.

Although it's not the new animation style, this ep. had a superior quality in the animation. The OSTs was also very amazing. It fitted the situation very well. Such a good made ep. haven't been shown for a long time. Somehow I believe this arc can really be good. Looking forward to the new animation style next week. It looks very promising. Funny to see that they made Nami use the "soru" sound which was used when CP9 used "soru" techniques. It was exactly the same sound. For the humor it was funny to see it was used for Nami punching Luffy. :P

I am fine with a slow pace as long as they do it well like it were done in pre-New World arcs. ^^

And here is the original inspiration for that image:

And, if you are wondering where that octopus design came from... (NSFW, but it is famous Great Art...)

Amazing. The whole vibe I already get is beyond words. A lot of funny scenes this time. Nami like always kicked Sanjis and Brooks ass :D

Damn what are those giant carps and also that octopus on the Sunny? :o
Pls somebody tell me I didn't halucinate but Nami used Soru when Luffy didn't let go of the carps right?

Wano seems like it's a pretty dangerous place. They were definitely right about that it's hard to get there.

I think I will like Wano a lot and I'm glad we and of course Luffy finally made it there. Also to see finally the other straw hats again next week is such a hype for me :)

This is an episode that reminds you why we watch One Piece, finally after the Reverie arc was nearly ruined in the anime in my opinion with the ridiculous amount of flashbacks, anyways aparently the art of One Piece will change abit on this arc and i think we saw that clearly in this episode, good thing is a change for the best at least in my opinion and looks perfect for the Wano Arc so i think we can have good expectations and hype for this arc just by seeing Zoro Robin Franky and Usopp again im sure the next ep will be amazing

Luffy’s group discovered that many of their friends are in Levely representing their kingdoms. They finally arrived to Wano Sea, Nami remembered that Kin’emon told her that the sea always has bad weather, an octopus climbed into the ship and a lot of carps navigated with them through the sea, they got to a waterfall and Luffy used the carps to carry his ship, in the top there was a whirlpool and the ship got drawn.

It looks like Wano is gonna have a completely different art style, and I like it, after all, Wano is gonna be a big reference to feudal Japan and its traditions, the ost changed too, it was a good episode, I laughed a bit with Chopper.

What a thrill! Hahaha, this episode reminded me of when the crew was only formed by Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Ussop and Sanji, and they entered the Grand Line ๐Ÿ˜. I felt nostalgic.
Thanks to Sanji and Chopper, Nami did not read the newspaper section where they talked about Kaido and Big Mom going after Luffy. LOL. But, what Kaido does not know is that Luffy is after him. Fear Kaido, fear xD.

You can already see the change in the animation and the soundtrack. At last, The Wano arch starts the next week !. I can not wait. This will be exciting ๐Ÿ˜.

"Once we finish sailing around the world, let's see them" ... Big Luffy: '). Do not forget your promises and friendships.

PS: What's up with the octopus? LOL.

You can say that the Reverie Part 1 of the arc is finished yes. But the story of one piece will be moving concurrently with Wano and Reverie's events. So there is more to come. Eicheiro Oda of One piece has mentioned that one piece will return to reverie and that a major event will take place there. Also in one of the new Shonen Jump Cover pages, it was shown that Wano and Reverie are split between side by side representing that this arc will be divided between events happening at Reverie and events happening on Wano. So anime only watchers are going to be on for a wild ride pretty soon.

There is other stuff that was teased concerning some previous arcs foreshadowing that will now play a role soon, but I wan't to keep that spoiler free here.

I highly enjoyed this episode. Felt nostalgic to me, like we're back with the old One Piece vibes. Where adventures, sailing, classic comedy seems to be in the highlights of an episode. The animation and music are fantastic. Especially the ost. Very Japanese like. Befitting the whole theme for the Wano arc. And the art style is like a painting. I am seriously liking the changes so far. I am even more hyped up now for the Wano arc's shift of animation next episode.

And did Nami just use a top-notch sori to punch the world out of Luffy? Nami has been training I see.

Strong introduction to Wano, and some heartfelt crew antics at the start. Chopper cutting out Doctorine's picture was my favorite moment of his in awhile. It's always nice to remember a characters roots. It's also funny to have another character as insane and fearless and adventure loving as Luffy in Carrot.

There has always been the question of whether Nami can use Haki, I assume she can because she hurts Luffy, although I assume it's small and innate. Now she used shave?! Nami is going to be a Haki and six powers goddess.

Lastly, I ignorantly said that the shadowy figure on the throne was one of the final true mysterious forces at work, but outside of another admiral and warlord if I recall which are smaller parts of understood parties, we have ALL of Wano. Either way I've missed my boys, the Samurai are my man's. ;_;

Crazy how long I've put One Piece (anime) on hold, Since June 2019, that's 1.5 years ago! But now I got 70 eps to watch! Hell yeah!
Considering how I just returned. How perfect it is for there to be a mini-recap near the beginning of the ep along with half of the Strawhat crews finally making their way to enter Wano for the rest of the ep. Thanks to past me for planning this out.

I missed the crews' antics and comedic scenes, their struggle to enter Wano really put a smile on my face.

The OST in this ep is wonderful, it's only appropriate that they have oriental Japanese OST played throughout Wano arc and this is only the beginning, besides that, this is the last time we get to see this art style, One Piece's anime art style has changed various times throughout the series but from what I've seen, the next ep's art style will reign supreme from here on out.

Wano kuni no shuppatsu!

How did Luffy not notice the octopus has he turns his head around in response to Brook? xD

The water current design resembles to the Japanese art design back in Japans isolation period !

AND WHAT THE HECK?!!? Nami surprised with her mouth opened showing shark teeths??!! xDD That is hilarious ! And it was a giant Koi that leaped out!

This just an amazing entrance and introduction to Wano Kuni at a Japanese style ! By far the best entrance !
While adding the Gomu Gomu no Bazooka just makes it even better!

Carrot isn't even afraid too!

The moment they entered Wano's waters, the whole sea ended up looking like the Great Wave Off Kanegawa. With that in mind, it's a relief that things didn't turn out like The Dream of the Fisherman's Wife when that octopus got onboard behind Carrot.

It's funny that a lot of the Straw Hat Crew's most traumatizing moments occur right before they've arrived at their next destination. It's been like that since the Knock-Up Stream in Skypeia and I find it really funny that it's still as terrifying now.

There's no doubt that they've went all out with the traditional Japanese soundtrack and it looks like there's going to be a magnificent overhaul in the art starting at the next episode!

I also love the Japanese sound effects! And the art style seems to have slightly changed for the next and upcoming episodes, love it!

From Reverse Mountain & Skypiea to Fish-Man Island & the New World, the grand entrances into these incredible places never ceases to astound. Keeping Wano largely veiled in mystery for nearly 900 episodes made this adventure into unknown all the more exciting. I can't wait to see what this land of the Rising Sun has in store!

The artsyle shift is still jarring, even if you know about if beforehand. That said, commenting here after seeing the succeeding episode, my initial thoughts are that the new style fits well if the scene is bright and/or saturated. Seeing this style applied to the Fish-Man Island arc, I honestly preferred the original. Not the case for Wano though, this shit hype at the moment.

Fun episode to start the arc. Lot of reverse mountains and Skypeia vibes.

Love the music and vibe of Wano so far and I’ve not even seen the land yet.

Really just waiting for the goat Zoro, my bae Robin, and the two bros Usopp and franky to appear. I miss those 4 so much (especially Robin and Zoro)
