He looks more like Mori here than in the manga, except less sleazy
Yeah its too sad to see anime like BSD has to end as well.At least Bones ended this year strongly like last year they did with Noragami Aragato.
and 10/10 from me as well! It ended with beautiful ending ~
I hope Bones kept their promise giving us BSD s3 next later~(Not expecting next year)
Well gotta read manga from scratch!
And... so it ends. Despite they skipped some scenes, Bones still adapted the epilogue of the Guild arc very well, I think they didn't skipped any important detail. The final stand against Fitzgerald has been much more intense here that in the manga, and I really liked how they animated the combination of Atsushi and Akutagawa powers. Fitzgerald was a nice antagonist, but he must be defeated for the sake of the people of Yokohama.
So glad they still adapted the fates of some of the supporting characters at the end of the arc, like Melville joining Ango's organization (so happy they adapted the scene of the little whale following Melville :´) ), Lovecraft revealing to be alive and going to sleep to the ocean, what the leftovers of the Guild decide to do after the defeat of the group, Poe comming to Kyouka's party... Hell, they even referenced Odasaku at the end.
And speaking about Kyouka, so glad she finally managed to master her ability and escape from the darkness for good. Very happy she ended in a good note considering how many bad things she experienced in her life.
Happy for Akutagawa too, senpai finally noticed him :D
Dostoyevsky's appearence was really good, but then I heard the voice of Akira fucking Ishida coming from his mouth and I came. I really came during that scene, it was absolutely beautiful. I know we won't have a third season in a while, but I hope Bones manages to do one. Really. I need to see this SOB animated another time. I will have to replay his scene again and again until getting bored of it.
And with that, one of my AOTS of this Fall along 3-gatsu no Lion ends. Is really curious how I managed to end watching this, considering I didn't put too much attention to the first cour back in Spring (who I ended watched because I didn't had anything better to watch at that time), but, to my surprise, the series managed to hook me to the point to ending reading the manga to have more of this series (and mind you, I only read the mangas of a selected number of series whose animes I consider worthy enough to read the source).
This second season in general has been very good, and 1000 times better than the first one, who after all was just an introduction to this arc and was sillier. Taking in mind that it started with something as unexpected as Dazai's past, and, considering how hyped I was with the Guild arc and how Bones didn't revealed anything of the Dark Era arc in the first PV of the season, I was dissapointed at first, but despite this, Bones still managed to make the flashback entertaining, tragic, fittingly dark and, the most important thing, made me care for Odasaku's character even when he only appeared in 4 episodes, to the point of turning him into one of my fav characters of the series. Considering how a lot of series didn't succeed at making me care about characters who only appears for a couple of episodes, it was amazing.
Now, respecting the Guild arc itself (the thing that the majority of manga readers and anime onlies for equal expected the most), it was well adapted in spite of having some character interactions and scenes sadly removed. Since I read the manga and I already knew all the plot points and events who were going to happen here, it didn't surprised me much, but made me greatly satisfied. And after seeing this last episode, I can say without any doubt that this adaptation was very faithful to the original source, and, taking in mind how Bones tends to modify some of their adaptations (FMA, Soul Eater, Noragami, Kekkai Sensen...), I'm very happy they were faithful with this. Is true the Guild arc could have been adapted better if they would had gave it more episodes, but I'm still happy with the result.
Also, I adored how they used the OST during the lenght of the anime. Much, much, much better than the first cour. The Guild theme in special is very epic.
A well-deserved 8.5/10 for this cour. I'm still hoping Bones adapts a third season of this, considering they adapted the cliffhanger that ends this arc instead of pulling an original ending and that "see you later" at the end makes me want to believe that in two years at least we would have a third season. Meanwhile, time to wait for Kunikida's OVA, who is probably the last thing we will see animated of BSD for some time.
So happy of found this series, to be honest.
P.S: Fucking Mori being a lolicon till the end xD

Q's fate wasn't specified in the manga, I think he was locked again in his cell. About Lucy... if you don't mind spoilers...
she escaped from Steinbeck and Twain and joins later to the Agency.
ShishoEO said: Also also, in which chapter does this episode end on? I'm not gonna wait for season 3 lol
What a great way to end this show. Wonderful finale. It started out strong and ended nicely. This season was miles better than the first season, without a doubt. I enjoyed every episode. I'm going to miss this show.
The only answer you can get about this is by Reading the manga after this . However, simply put
She abandoned the guild . And started working at the
Agency cafe
Yay, that's awesome. Lucy is one of my favorite characters of this show and got disappointed after she got left out from the final episode :( This is good to hear since she got a happy ending after all.
A good finale. Though I don't think I was as wowed this season as I was the first. I guess I just didn't like the Guild all that much as the villains. I'll watch a third season if they ever make one.
They could've maybe tried fitting the Lucy part in the next chapter in this episode to have a better resolution. However ISHIDA AKIRA WHAT THE ACTUAL F-FYODOR! The Russian Arc is here! I hope they adapt it because it's super insane and much more intense than the Guild Arc.
This 2nd season of Bungo Stray Dogs is a prime example of an anime studio or any film or tv studio for that matter, learning from their mistakes. This season was so much better then the first I'm happy that they fixed every single thing that I absolutely hated about the first season. 9/10
it was a cool and good last episode thou a bit minor change in kyouka feels but it still good .. now fyodor showed up .. Im hype for S3 but it will take a while :v
I am very glad that I decided to watch season 2. I wasn't really that into season 1, I found some moments interesting but overall it lacked that quality that would make me excited for a second season. However, I thought it may be worth it if I stuck with it and without a doubt I can positively say that I enjoyed the second season much more than the first.
If a third season were to be announced I would be excited.
Dazai's arc was a lot better than the guild arc, but the guild arc was fun on its own. Beautiful animation and music as expected from bones. Fun series overall.
OMG I was sad when we assumed Kyouka got killed in that crash but I instantly lit up when she survived. Thanks for the happy ending for season 2!!! Hyped for a season 3 if it's coming!!!!

It's 9/10 for the first four episodes and 8/10 for the remaining episodes so in total it's 8/10..
Fyodor Dostoyevsky . The one Sitting on his chair talking to the pastor Hawthorne. He's the first European author to be introduced in the anime too.

Don't forget about Andre Gide from Dark Era. ;)
Oh Right . I was only thinking of the manga adaptation , but yeah you're right. There's also "Order of the Clock Tower" Organization Led by
Agatha Christie. She made a brief appearance in the manga, but she's still not much relevant to the story
With the combined powers of Akutagawa and Atsushi, they were able to outlast Fitzgerald. Despite their victory, a new enemy interferes with their desire to save the city by descending Moby Dick anyways.
Enter Kyouka, who passes the test to become part of the agency by sacrificing herself. Luckily she was granted full control of her powers before the plane crashed and is able to save herself. I have to admit, I was thrown into despair for a few pages in the manga and I felt that pain again watching this.
Now everything is wrapping up while new developments are unraveling. In the end, the most impressive thing is how Dazai was prepared for every single situation. I would love to see the inner workings of his brains on how he comes up with all this stuff! Also the first ED song makes its return! LOVED that song a lot.
5/5- The Finale was great. The final battle was animated very well while the background of the sky was beautiful. The feud between Atsushi and Akutagawa continues while Dazai hopes the two can become an even more deadly duo than Double Black. I know it's pretty obvious, but I'm sure Dazai had this planned from the start.
Welcome to the Agency Kyouka!
9/10- The series overall is great but this 2nd season blew my expectations out of the water. Though it was very fast pace (which is the same as the manga) it still felt very smooth and it was easy to watch. I was entertained in every single episode and unlike the 1st season, it's hard to pin point any long periods of being bored of it.
Though some very minor things were cut out, I still found this to be an excellent adaptation. Can't wait to see a new season, though it's going to be a while before we see this anime again due to how little material is left that hasn't been adapted. It also doesn't help that it's not selling too well with 6 Volumes out and around 5k sales according to someanithing. Here's hoping though!
I'm really going to miss these characters as they are definitely my favorite cast this year. Everyone is just so lovable or badass. At least I still have the manga while I wait for the series' return.
Nice ending, we got fine developments from the characters. As expected from Dazai, sending off Kyouka to crush the plane was according to his plan.
This season was a fun ride. Started dark with the first four episodes, which is really amazing, then takes to the guild arc which led to character developments, finally ended happily. Well Odasaku didn't die in vain, his ideals remained with Dazai, I like it how Dazai planned out everything, in order to protect and save, what's important to him, really a big thanks to Oda.
Hoping for a third season, there's the real storm incoming.
omg that was so cool!! the fight scene between the guild leader, atsushi and akutagawa was the best and most awesome fight scene i've seen in a while. It was great. I like how Atsushi like give everything he got to save everything and everyone he loves.
The fact that Kyouka suddenly changed her mind in the nick of time is intense, and then one second she's thought dead then the next she is alive. Also the fact that they reveal that the reason atsushi and kyouka can control their powers is because of the boss's power, was such a surprise, but I'm glad Kyouka is alright and she is alive and well.
The ending of this smells like another sequel, they got another enemy that's even crueler than the guild. one other thing, the fact where Dazai said that Atsushi needs akutagawa as a supporter is so damn true, they are both so alike that the fit to work together, if there is a sequel I am so looking forward to seeing them fight together again.
I'll give this anime a 9.5/10 cause the plot and action and plot twists are great!! the ending as well, is not disappointing
Great ending to this season. Dazai shows again why he's one of my favorite characters, dude had everything planned out. I liked this season better than s1. Hoping we get season 3 soon.
And so the last episode is finally here
Love how they play the intro during the fight though
Now that was an excellent finale
The fight between Atsuchi and Akutagawa against the guild master
was really well done and i was glad that they managed to defeat him after.
The third faction stepping in to try and crash the airship though was certainly unexpected but good thing Dazai and Kyouka was able to stop it but man i was worried about Kyouka then.
Seeing her survive and be accepted into the Armed detective agency and be welcomed warmly by them was really hearwarming and really puts a tear to your eye.
But man the guild master really is fast and a worthy opponent
but im loving the teamwork between Atsuchi and Akutagawa though
lol Atsuchi using Akutagawa's shadows to get back on to the plane
lol thats a lot of money that the guild master is using for this fight
he's using his entire fortune to literally fight here
But man it took their combined teamwork to finally beat that guy
the guild master really was strong and im glad that his plan was finally stopped
Lol Akutagawa would love to fight Atsuchi again but he has no strength left to fight him with.
And it looks like a complication has arisen lol
i know it would be too easy to stop that event from happening
So a third party has meddled in eh
So Kyouka intends to sacrifice herself to save Atsuchi and the city then eh
Her reasons for it were really noble though
All her life she's been killing people and now she gets the opportunity
to turn that around and save someone instead
Not that Atsuchi would let her do that though
ah so the boss's ability combined with Atsuchi's determination was what made the victory against the guild master possible then
The boss sure has a interesting ability in that it enhances the abilities of his subordinates. But man its thanks to this ability of his that Kyouka who passed the entrance exam and therefore become an official member of the agency managed to survive that explosion.
Damm i was worried that she had died there then.
That moment when Atsuchi hugged Kyouka though was so sweet
And lol Akutagawa finally gets the acknowledgement that he crazed for so long from Dazai.
But man the war between the gifted sure caused a lot of damage to the city
glad that its over now though
Hmm so the owner of the Moby dick power was actually a good guy eh
To think that he was the previous guild master
Lol its nice to see the rest of the guild members that operated in Japan survived though. Lovecraft is still the weird one though lol
And finally Kyouka finally joins the armed detective agency as a full member
its about time lol
Kyouka's expressions as she see's the rest of the agency welcome her though was so cute. She finally has a home and people that care for her as she is now
The celebration scenes though were so cute though as well
loved everyone's expressions there lol
Lol Atsuchi and Kyouka's reward for saving the city from Doppo is a long winded
scalding. Good save from Yosano though. And its nice to hear the true words from Dappo.
One of Atsuchi's best traits is his honesty and its nice to see him apologize to Naomi and Kirako about that time when he attacked them even though he wasn't in his right mind. Lol how they took some time to remember it
Ranpo's opposite number in the guild sure has changed after his defeat lol
But at least his grudge is gone
Meanwhile at the Port Mafia Mori is having a relaxing drink with a great view of the bay.
Lol Kouyou and Mori have quite the informal relationship there lol
Lol Chuya's drunken comments though
lol that Raccoon was just so kawaii
lol so Dazai actually planned out this whole operation eh
as expected of him in that he always moves fast and smart
Hmm the third faction looks be interesting
and it looks like they have former members of the guild in there as well
Can't wait to see season 3 when it Aires
The final scene though

Great ending to a second season that has proven to be a substantial improvement on the first season in every way imaginable. Dazai's flashback arc was an interesting and brilliant way to get things started, and the Guild arc that followed was exciting, intense and dramatic and extremely enjoyable in so many ways. After all the set-up at the end of this episode, I'm really hoping we get a third season.
The story of this anime is very good, although it definitely is nowhere near the likes of other beloved animes, it does not fail to entertain. The first arc deals with Osamu Dazai's backstory in the Port Mafia. Immediately the watcher may notice that there is a significant switch in tone. The series has traded in it's more comedic style of presentation for a darker one. Honestly, I love this change especially considering that the series is dealing with Dazai's backstory a much darker storyline. The second arc takes the watcher back into the heat of action that was occurring in the first one. I have not much to say on this part as it is simply just very entertaining and interesting.
Art & Sound: 10/10
The art is wonderful it truly is a treat for the eyes. I love how every character looks and I especially love how the eyes are drawn. There is not much to say about the art other than Bones did a great job combining visual effects with their always impressing animation. The sound design is great. I love the whole soundtrack however it is not one that I would hum along to while heading to my classes. Overall, the art and sound are wonderful.
Characters: 10/10
I have yet to find anything wrong with any of the characters except one. All the characters are a wonder to see. I love Akiko's psychotic nature, I love Ranpo's playfulness, and I adore Dazai's character. There is something so distinct about each character in this anime and they feel very unique compared to other anime characters. However, the one character I do have a problem with is Kyouka. She feels very cliche and bland sometimes even annoying. I just simply do not like her character however There have been improvements to her character this season which I am liking.
Overall: 10/10
Bungou Stray Dogs Season 2 is an anime that I have had so much fun with. Something that I haven't had for a while now. From its characters to its art, there is simply something here for everyone. I strongly reccomend this anime to anyone. This is my first review so I hope you enjoy!
I think this season is just better than the 1st one in every aspect possible. It actually managed to balance seriousness and the comedy way better than the 1st one did.1st season feels like an introduction arc , a build up for something greater after this.
1st 4 episodes were god-like and after that it was still top tier and entertaining.Really liked the conclusion.1 thing I did not like about this season is the antagonist.Guild's leader. He was an OK antagonist but could be much better and well developed but whatever.
BTW I really liked the new antagonist for a possible 3rd season.References are ofc always welcomed and his overall design looks cool and interesting.
Overall great improvement much better characters and a satisfying conclusion.A solid 7/10.
LOL the story isn't over yet. well it's obvious i guess but damn, i really want another season...
overall, it was a really great second season. in term on everything, i think it was executed very well especially the plot/story progression. really like that dazai's back story in the beginning of the series and continued to the present which is the guild. they managed to connect the past and the present....that's how i describe it. glad that kyouka became one of them too :3
I wonder what's going to happen next time...
i hope for another season!
9/10
Nothing more I could asked for as the last episode to this season. That fight was pretty badass and the animation quality is top notched. Season 3 soon please!

Not quite as amazing as what Saitama did but still a punch that cleared the skies no less, and still pretty dang amazing. The battles is over, and immediately after, the fun times continue, but just for a little bit as Kyouka sacrifices herself for everyone else, though not entirely as the boss's power is finally revealed (either that or I just missed something major at some point) and everyone important lives. JUST GOTTA HAVE THAT HAPPY ENDING Which is fine by me, I was smiling like and idiot and enjoying every second of this. Now to wait for season 3 and watch them fight with some psycho who thinks he can help the world by destroying everything. 9/10
