Riku vs. Kuu Your score for the anime watched: 8 Add me again Comment: So here is my review of this anime for the special batch. Haikyuu!! is one of my guilty pleasure anime. I am very addicted to sports anime, and it is so fun and easy to watch. I have been going to watch my students play volleyball for years, and this anime is as addictive as watching volleyball in person. It is so nice to see my Neko boys getting more screen time to play in the tournament. It makes me appreciate how hard our OG babies work. Sometimes, sports anime do not drag you into rooting for more than 1 or 2 teams. This OVA made me root for different teams, and sometimes, I rooted for both sides of the game. There is always the one player who is a butt to everyone, and they are always easy to find, fun to watch, and the best to beat. Overall, this scratched the sports anime itch that I can never fully squash. It was a fun side-step from the main story, and feels part of the whole story. This could've been included in the other seasons, but I understand the anime television wants to have plenty of time to focus on the main boys. Definitely watch this if you are in the middle of your Haikyuu!! binge. |
