Death Stranding - 9/10

A surprisingly great game. Generally hate grinds and repetitive stuff, so I was apprehensive, but it feels very meditative, creative, and meaningful. Besides, if this is fetch quests the game, than most games are kill quests, the game. Just depends on the gameplay, variety, and importance to the plot/progression. It’s a silly, unfair label if you ask me.

As for the story, started interesting, remained interesting but confusing, but ended fantastically. Characters range from meh to amazing (mads/Clifford and the director were amongst the greatest performances in gaming). Music phenomenal, graphics/word phenomenal. Overall, a amazing game (and I’ve never completed a MGS game before, that feels like a necessary disclaimer when praising this game)

Yakuza 0 - 9/10

Really good starting point for the franchise. Some consider Majima's transformation to be out of nowhere, but having "played" Kiwami and re-playing Yakuza 0, it doesn't seem that bad. If they had tweaked the dialogue towards the end a little bit, I feel the change would feel more profound.

The balance between seriousness and goofyness is surprising, really like the writing, even the change of the structure story = serious, susbstory = goofy to have some substories to be quite serious and to have small jokes in the main story (I left Makoto without takoyaki just to complete the caberet club, having the fourth style to be used at the end makes it even better).

Hades - 7.5-8/10

Finished up all the endings, don't know if I care all that much about some sidequests to finish them so fuck em. Honestly was more interested in the story in early access when it was shrouded in mystery unanswered, the way the story got cleared up made the EA drama and intrigue amount to less than it deserved and the conclusion that was given was waaay too clean, too.
Like, more-ambitious-sequel-squandering clean. Usually don't give a shit about game stories, but Hades had some enjoyable smoke and mirrors to pull me in to drop me out on a "well, fine". Still do like a lot of the characters... except Orpheus. Fuck that nigga.

The gameplay loop was great tho. Don't find the Pact of Punishment restrictions a fun source of replayability and bits of extra content, however. Similiar stuff wasn't an interesting playtime extender in Bastion, wasn't here either. Did get a decent amount of juice out of the game in any case considering that I don't like possible bigger time investments on average.
There was good gameplay variety to the weapons and their variants, but didn't find some weapons fun to use by default so felt like a waste of time to invest in their other aspects and therefore didn't have that much of a reason to have more Pact runs.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey 7.5/10
Well 215 hours and platined.
I would say over 130 hours to make all the game + dlc points of interest at 100%. The map being extremely large and filled it necessarily becomes redundant. It is particularly striking on the enemy camps which take all the same arrangement with 2 or 3 small variations.
Hunted down members of Kosmos and the mercenary system were very eye-catching.
Overall the adventure is captivating but I still preferred Origins.

I just "sort of" finished "Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow" for the original Xbox. I got right to the end, where you're supposed to kill Soth and the two other terrorists, but it's too easy to mess up, so I decided to quit at the end without completing it.

The English dub isn't bad but the Japanese version is superior. Its weird though because the subtitles are for the English version and what they say in Japanese usually doesn't really match the subtitles. Have you played legends mode yet? Definitely the best part of the game.

Theres quiet a few different body and class items you can get from various challenges and from the story mode. Emotes, sword kits, ect. Best part is its all earned in game and no microtransactions. My PSN is 'souljaharmony' if you need someone to run the story mode with or the survival mode. The raid is definitely my favorite part but you have to level up your gear to 105 I think so you're going to have to put some work in before you can play it.

I beat the first Spyro game recently, and it was pretty good. Probably a 6/10 because level design in the second half could be improved, gameplay is really simple, getting 120% was really easy, and the story is basically non-existent.

On the other hand, the music was really nice and fit the atmosphere, the character designs were all distinct and unique, the enemy variety was better than I expected, and, as I was playing the remake, the visuals were jaw-dropping.

Completed Kid Icarus Uprising a couple months ago and I thought it was great.
For a Nintendo game, the story was surprisingly good, the characters were pretty annoying at the start but grew up on me by the end, the music was alright and the voice acting wasn't half bad.
I think why many people didn't like it was because of the terrible controls but I played it on a 3ds emulator so I had no such problems.
Overall: Incredible game, 9/10.

Hades- 8.5/10

Really fun game with a ton of content to keep you busy through the first credit roll. It's got a ton of weapon and boon combos to experiment with to keep all your early runs feeling fresh, loads of dialogue, and a fun cast and MC with some neat takes on Greek myths.

Only issue with it is that it starts to overstay its welcome if you want to do all of the optional and post-game content, like the character-based side quests or clearing the epilogue. I had to more than double my clear count by the time I was done, and a lot of it was just waiting for certain characters to get through their backlog of dialogue to finally get back to whatever plotline I was trying to work on, since all the NPCs have a limit of one bit of dialogue per run, and that dialogue's fixed for anyone you need back at home. Not really a fan of having to put more effort into fighting the game's RNG than Zagreus' dad and his infernal forces. The epilogue was a little underwhelming too after all that effort, but oh well.

Wound up escalating the difficulty with my main weapon up to 20 heat and around 10 for the rest, beating the bonus boss and all upgraded bosses including the final one several times over, maxing all the NPCs' bonds, and buying all of the non-gaudy looking house projects, so I might not've done everything, but I feel pretty satisfied with all I got done.

Hades

It was a pretty enjoyable game, especially before you complete your first run because many of the games mysteries were still up in the air at that point and you were continuously finding new areas and new characters.

However, the story never amazed me or shocked me which is a slight problem when most of the game is dedicated to you trying again and again in an effort to reach said plot points. Other than that, the art design is flawless, the voice acting is flawless, the soundtrack is amazing and the gameplay is quite addictive, but due to it's lack of a fascinating and impactful story (though the writing and characters were fantastic) I don't think I am going to find myself thinking back on this game very often.

8/10

Though I have completed the story up until where I unlocked the 'Completed the Main Quest' achievement, so I still have the epilogue to do, so take my criticisms of the story with a grain of salt.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Rating: 7/10

Review: AW has some cool combat mechanics and cinematic moments (not to mention the 'Press F for Respect' meme). Apart from that, the gameplay was a little bit dull. Not a big fan of futuristic FPS, but I believe Black Ops 2 did a good job better than this one. Here, the story sucks, hard. I mean most of 'em, but here, it's boring AF. Maybe some edgy teen-ager came up with the idea or not. Anyway, it was a one-time playable game. Unlike this, I could replay Black Ops, MW, MW 2 and BO 2 anytime, cause they're, in my opinion, the best FPS games ever made.

Legend of Heroes Trails of Cold Steel 6/10
I will address the good and bad points here

Good :
- Superb character design
- Successful ost
- Turbo mode
- Class 7 is endearing as a whole
- Sara-sensei ^^

Bad :
- Boring and repetitive
- Technically at the pickup
- Fedex sub-quests
- Overly stereotypical characters
- Just an intro to the following trilogy
- C's identity... Was that suppose to be a twist cause it wasn't at all

To resume, just played it for understand the world and the characters relationship. The next episode seems to be superior in every aspect hopefully.

Ghostrunner - 7/10

Had some really fluid gameplay, some challenging enemies/parkour and some pretty fun levels. Visually looked stunning to

Story though, kinda meh if I'm being honest. I also think the parkour could sometimes be too fast to the point where it ends up getting annoying at times. Some of the level designs were also kinda annoying

but overall though, definitely was some fun

Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition | 8.5/10
Story: It's either two things, simply interesting or a really big mess.
Gameplay: The gameplay was both fun and messy, enemies just kept attacking in all directions, and healing items are quite broken, but the side quests and exploration are mostly addictive.
Graphics: It's beautiful, that's it.
OST: Somewhat forgettable in my experience.

I mostly had fun with the game. I loved the main antagonist. And even though it was a mess, I really liked the story.

Was playing the titanfall 2 campaign a couple years ago on ps4, but traded that in for a nintendo switch while I was like halfway through it.

Got it again recently on sale on steam, and dang is it smooth and fluid and effortless to play especially with the wall running and sliding and double jumps. Just wish these FPS campaigns were a bit longer because sometimes they're so good. Still enjoyed this campaign more than most COD campaigns nowadays. Multiplayer isn't half bad either.

7/10

Also played journey recently too, a stellar experience for sure but was kind of let down by the somewhat empty of an ending. Idk, maybe I was missing something.

code vein - 5/10

this game was comically easy with an AI partner but borderline-unviable solo at least until ng+ with proper setup and better sustain. story was cheesy and even the true ending still leaves much to be desired. characters were unnecessarily melancholic for no reason other than to elicit superficial emotions. gameplay was generic souls-like with no special mechanics. level-design at times was downright cancer. couple of fun bossfights but overall pretty meh. 1-2 great soundtracks. at least the graphics were good and so were the anime tiddies.

Demon Souls (PS5) - 9.5/10

I never played the original since my first experience owning a PlayStation console was with the PS4. That being said, I loved it. Everything about it was familiar like with the other Souls games but playing it made me feel like I was playing a 2009 game while still feeling like a next gen experience for the platform.

That sort of thing is no easy task and Bluepoint really balanced it perfectly. I had an absolute blast and honestly I want to see a 60fps Bloodborne on the console or at least it being brought to PC at this point.

Well that was fun and enjoyable. The game don't take himself too seriously, you are just here to destroy anything that dares to get in your way. Nero's battle theme was epic and Dante is a real swiss army knife. V gameplay based on demons was interesting too. On another note, the final boss was one of the most badass i had seen in years.

This game has everything going for it. Photorealistic graphics, memorable characters, intricate and detailed gameplay, all neatly packed into a nearly 6 megabyte swf file which you can play on the internet. Nayuta no Kiseki. It was average I guess.

Decent gameplay, much like every Kiseki series, talking to NPCs is definitely the biggest draw and charm, the boss fight was challenging enough to keep me going but story wise it is one of those cases where the villains had billion of chances to kill the hero but they decided not to do it, and the protagonist Nayuta is just... a good guy without any dark side on him. And I do feel it was very repetitive at times.

Impressive, I think this is how you should make a RPG without open-world setting. I never imagined that I need a game like this until it was introduced. Capcom did their job very well in this game. Combat, world exploration, pawn recruitment, vocation system... are really satisfying to do. And the best part of the game to me is when I can carry people and throw them off as much as I like. Pawn's dumb AI is the only thing I wanna complaint about, no more. I'm surprised that the game didn't get enough attention it deserved. This is definitely one of the best RPGs I've ever experienced.

Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Wii) - 9/10.

An absolute classic game for the Wii. I recently got back into playing the Wii, and it's very easy to hack and modify the Wii, as well as torrenting games online.

It's a great game to just sit back, explore, and 100% finish. And after all these years, I've finally completed both Lego City maps.

Now it's just a wait until the new Lego Star Wars game to come out. I kinda wish they'd also develop a new Lego Star Wars: The Clone Wars game, as the old one covers only the first 2 seasons of the TV series.

Done with the story mode. I like the big world, with many things to do. Smash road boards or hunt for art. Many different cars for different purpose. The game didn't feel to monotonous like many car games often do

The voice acting is horrible. Its like a 11 year old kid have listen to hes first rap music video and trying to copy it. It doesn't work and are annoying as hell

In the end I enjoyed it for the most part. And most importantly I found my dream car. My beautiful girl my Porsche 911 Turbo S. With over 1000 hp she just flew down the streets. Whatever the cops throw at her. She always got out on top. Me and my girl had a lot of fun together ❤❤

Yakuza Kiwami - 6/10

Out of the two Yakuza games I've played this one was arguably the weaker one plot-wise, and the length of the game is half of what Yakuza 0 is, give or take, but it was still an enjoyable ride for me. I'll try not to spoil too hard but.. it felt like relevant characters in Y0 didn't have NEARLY as big of a role in Kiwami, and that in itself sort of disappointed me.

This was technically the first game in the series though. Y0 was like a prequel that came after the fact, so it makes perfect sense for some aspects of the game to not flawlessly carry over the next installment, Yakuza Kiwami, but it still bothers me.

Not to say it isn't a good game, of course. The visuals were great, the fighting mechanics and styles were nice, the plot took some illogical bounds but otherwise was okay. Most importantly though, I really enjoyed playing it just as much as I did Y0. It was a good game.
