Wow, what a lame-ish ending to an abysmal series really! So many unanswered questions, empty emotions and unreasonable plot holes all over the place, really took the spotlight for this show in my opinion. I don’t say this often, but this was seriously straight-up bad! To be honest, I didn’t find the ending all too bad. All the class fellows have to pass away for the Ousama Game to truly end, and so Riona commits suicide to fulfill it. Great, I’d take that. However, the manner in which it was executed was just terrible. First of all, what’s up with that order from the King? Make a doll, really? To make things worse, we see the little man himself take on the challenge to become ‘as manly as Nobuaki and Teruaki’. Right, of course. Moving on, how exactly did Aya wake up at such a convenient time and what exactly was going through her head? Don’t tell me it’s another love story at the heat of the moment because it certainly looked like it to me. Clearly, Natsuko was holding a chainsaw on her hand and the best idea that comes to your mind is to choke her. I simply cannot comprehend that level of idiocy. Well, guess that’s that. If I’m not mistaken, Nobuaki was smacked at the back of his head with a rock, so how exactly did he get up at the most convenient of times? Not just this but he was literally being strangled like a doll by Natsuko next, and then Natsuko was driven right through the back by a chainsaw. It doesn’t take a farmer or a woodcutter to know that a chainsaw can literally break one’s bones in a matter of seconds and yet she managed to grab hold of a chainsaw in a moment’s notice and actually jump to slit Nobuaki’s throat. Right, mysterious as always. Now, flashbacks kick in out of nowhere and we see that a completely different person whom Natsuko was in love with previously having the slightest bit of resemblance to Nobuaki and so that’s how we know why Natsuko was so in fond of Nobuaki in the first place. Sweet, I’ve got nothing to say about this. Just speechless. Last but not least, we see Riona dragging Nobuaki’s body to the ocean and there’s a moment’s glimpse where they show Nobuaki’s neck. I’m not sure just how exactly sharp that chainsaw was, but from my perspective, that looked like a tad bit serious cat scratch. Lol, Aya was literally cut in half previously making this all the more mysterious. Wow, what can I possibly say now. Moreover, we never really got an explanation or anything even least bit hinted about Chiemi and Natsuko other than that they were perhaps separated when they were kids. What’s that about? What’s this about a virus though? If it’s just a normal bug in the Internet, how does it possibly kill oneself and give orders exactly? There’s just so many things more that I can vividly recall from previous episodes, but I’d like to not get into that. There’s just way too many, after all. Well, that’s about the whole show in a nutshell actually. In each and every episode, we saw flying limbs from the most absurd and unprocessable scenarios and an outburst of emotions which really had minimal to no effect on the viewers. In general, the Art/Animation of this show was fine nonetheless. Sound Department of this show only was actually something that was genuinely good about this show, and I must say it was definitely great. Even the osts during the most ‘tensed’ moments were well-timed and good. Voice acting, on the other hand, was a little poor. However, what was inevitably the worst Department in this show goes hands down to the Characters. My God, just how clueless and brainless can these people be? It was as though Natsuko was the only one with a proper brain and a thought process. Literally, all the Characters managed in accomplishing was to stir up some needless emotions and then get used and toyed around by Natsuko all the time while complaining and talking trash about her. Don’t just talk, do something for heaven’s sake. Man, in this retrospect, only Kenta was actually a notch ahead of everyone and that was nice to see. Even the main character of the show just remained the same senseless puppet throughout the series. All in all, this show was pretty bad but it did have it’s few plus points. Not something I would recommend to anyone under my sane consciousness though. - Storyline/Plot Developments: 4/10 - Characterization/Character Developments: 2/10 - Art/Animation: 6/10 - Sound Department: 8.5/10 - Personal Enjoyment: 3/10 -> Overall: 4/10. Looks like a Second Season is in the making, so I’m not quite sure if I’ll watch that or not. Under this state of mind as of now, I’d like to pass at all cost though. |

Really loved the fact nobody achieved anything and Nobuaki's effort to stop the game was all for nothing, we need more anime with the same message and conclusion sometimes no matter how much you try no matter how much hope you have, you still cant make difference, and all you did was for nothing. I CANT GET ENOUGH, want more of that feeling! |

This was a huge disappointment. I was kinda cheering for this anime, because it gave me those Danganronpa vibes in first two episode or so. But after that it just got worse and worse with each episode. But even that didn't convince me to drop it and finish it, hoping for some twist in form of exciting ending. Didn't get it. Me dissapoint. Really not worth watching imo. Also for the ending... when we first saw that the only way to end to end this game was by everyone in the game dying - the first thing that came up on my mind was "But wait, they said it spread like virus, there oughta be more games, right? This some bs right there." So I take the post-ending scene that even though they all died the game still continues (who knows how many times at the same time, lulz) on? This doesn't deserve a second season :/ |

Usually I don't put low votes. My lowest vote is 7 for School Days. My scale of votes is different from everyone, already have created an anime with dubbing, mediocre drawings, music, etc..... For this effort, they already deserve a good vote. But with this I will make an exception. 6/10 It would have been 7/10 if the final had a sense. "If everyone will die, the game will end". They died, but the game continues? WHATTTT??? Have I lost something, or does it not make sense? |

Idk what to say about this one. On one hand it was an absolute shit-fest of terrible story, unbearable characters and just a general shit everything else, however; all the shit piled together made a semi-decent ironic comedy almost. So many death scenes were way too stupid not to laugh at, and that alone kept me watching. The show could have been interesting in someone else's hands (then again, I don't know if the manga's this bad) but what can you do, generic wannabe edgy show becomes best comedy of 2017. |

Is it kind of sad that the best writing this show even attempted was in the final episode? The message showed that the game would never end and everyone would die...so really...does that truly mean that Natsuko was right all along? Just get the terror in the killing over with asap, or is it better to follow Nobuaki's way and cling on to hope even if it's pointless? That's also not taking into account going to heaven, which is confirmed to be actually real in this show. And if that's the case, it might even bolster Natsuko's side even more, since the sooner you die the sooner you go to heaven. And ffs, even Natusko made it in, and that's saying something. Speaking of, Natusko came in their with the double double fakeout there. Made us think she loved him in episode one, then came in with the fakeout saying she was going to use him for info and she wants to kill him. Then came in with ANOTHER fakeout revealing she actually loved him all along and only wanted to kill him so no one else would in the game, like some true to form yandere love. Not sure if that's enough redemption for her murdering 3 people fifteen minutes prior. And Riona killed herself at the end, I guess that's whatever since she loved Nobuaki and all. Hey at least she'll be in heaven with everybody. Hmmm...gotta wonder, if she died right afterwards, did they all go whoops, and turn around and grab her real quick? lol Also have to wonder, if heaven is truly the magical land of happiness where everyone finds everlasting joy and peace...will Nobuaki end up in a harem with Chiemi, her own sister Natsuko, and Riona (AND maybe Ria)? I mean, it's heaven after all. There are no rules, plus everyone will be happy with no malice. Shit, I mean the dude's probably fucking earned it right? Honestly I'm not even ashamed to admit that Riona's ludicrously massive tits were my only salvation through this show. First it was Natsuko, but then she went psycho, then it was Ria, then she became a phoenix, and then that last home stretch was Riona's giant goliath fucking mammaries. I will give the show props adaptation wise though. In one of the other threads for this show, someone started one that gave an in-depth breakdown of what happens in all of the king's games. Idk if there are mangas and novels for all of them, but the OP broke down what happens in Nobuaki's first one, Natsuko's first one, the anime one, and the Japan one which was ongoing. There were details about the first one in the village too. And despite the show being utter trash, I can say it adapted that trash pretty well since it matched the details in that thread almost perfectly and the OP made that thread when the show was only like halfway through. MyKamiList said: AsT5 said: MyKamiList said: So the survivor of each game will be the carrier of the virus. We know that each game only has 1 survivor, and the game involves like 30 people. Assuming each game takes 5 days to finish, and it kills about 30 people, how many millenniums would it takes to wipe the entire human race? The earth itself has a higher chance to be destroyed before the humanity went extinct from this game. that's half the info according to the current manga all the Japanese and taiwanese school students will be killed then the virus will go on towards the working adults thanks to internet so humanity might end up soon So the internet is the main carrier of the virus, which means it's all the same whether there is a survivor or not, and that debunks the whole point of the "dying message", unless I am missing something that is. Damn, this is one of those rare shows that the more I think, the more I ironically enjoy it. Yea that whole dying message to end the game was basically a giant troll from the virus. Nothing can stop it, clearly as shown by the end where it hits the metropolitan area. I believe there is a manga for that as well where the virus puts all of Japan in the game or something. |

As for myself I have a no drop policy on any show I watch. That in itself helps me choose what shows I'll watch beforehand, if it seems like I'd drop it I just won't watch it. That being said that isn't the perfect, one size fits all solution to deciding on seasonal shows, so occasionally a bad one slips through, or a hidden gem gets missed. I also think it's appropriate to see things through to the end. You never know how good or bad a show truly is until it's over. Sure 9/10 times a show that starts bad will stay bad, but on rare occasions a series can experience a significant turnaround. And vice versa, a good show can turn horrible. I personally also don't like to say a show is shit without seeing it myself so I can critique in my own words why it is. But anyway, the thread you asked me about should be this one: https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1671970 |

Just gonna say one thing: How can the virus ever hope to eradicate humanity? One person infects their class (30 or so people) which would actually give it a good chance. However, then 29 of those die before they can infect others. The speed of its spread is hence constant and very likely lower than the birthrate in Japan. ... |

thepath said: Totally agreeI did not watch last episode yet but I want to drop my review here because I'm sick of haters everywhere. This also 1st time I write review for anime. My review: "I personally found this anime very enjoyable. If you enjoy watching people brutally killed, suffer, break their fingers, forced to have sex, extreme drama and female character with evil/sadistic personality, then this is the right anime for you. For me this anime proves that you don't always need those "well written anime" to enjoy it. A lot of haters here are just judging anime based how well written the story and how much plot holes or because some character act stupidly in some situation. Those haters start analyzing the this anime as if it is Shakespeare story book or some kind of scientific journal. I don't take anime too seriously. Character in anime does not always have to act the same way that people expect in real life For me this show is just a pure enjoyment. It entertaining (for me) to watch fictional people suffer and try hard to survive. It does not matter if the story is weak and poorly written when I'm enjoying it. I'm on episode 11 when I wrote this review, and last few episodes were the best in my opinion so far Many of those who gave it 1/10 or 2/10 watched it until the last episode which makes me suspect that many of these haters don't genuinely believe that anime deserve such a low score. I mean why watch something that you think deserve such low score until the end ?! If I rate something 1/10 then that thing has to be so boring that I could not watch it at all It is also worth to mention that this show is noting like Mayoiga. Mayoiga is children version of Ousama Game. If you found Mayoiga boring like me then does not mean Ousama Game is same. Ousama game is real dark/horror show with people slaughtered in every place unlike Mayoiga " Thats good news. Hoping for new season. Unfortunately, Natsuko is not alive because she is by far my favorite character. well it's really sad that everyone including nobuaki dead, and natsuki didn't change at all even to her last breath. but when i saw the heaven scene, it made me happy that they go to heaven, not in shame. kinda sad tho that even after riona killed herself, the game stay still 8/10 from me, the anime isn't too bad |

That was one twisted ending, as expected from a twisted and gory anime. Everyone lost and the game won again, Riona didn't have to commit suicide, that was a dumb move for a guy she just met. Most characters of this anime lost the plot were they were to die, I think it was the writer's fault in that department. The person killed characters in a senseless way possible and illogic. Oh my god the Ousama game mystery revealed was a big flop, how can a virus send texts and communicate that one was absurd and very anticlimactic. As for Natsuko going to heaven, was ehhh ayayaya. The MC ayayaya was one soppy bastard who was useless in all the episodes, even he was overpowered by Natsuko and got killed( one word lame). It was like I was watching those low budget horror movies, except nudity and sex were insufficient. I say if you like senseless killings and weak plot be my guest to this one, but I won't be cruel like it so 6/10. |

Okkkkk i don't even know what to say because this one was sooo bad! But it had a slight difference, while others (bad animes that i watched) were painful to watch and i was counting time when the episode would end, this one was surprisingly different because i was watching it with a friend and we were laughing all the time because of how ridiculous it was xD I don't even know how to score it, 3?2?1? I've never scored an anime so low but this will probably be the 1st time, but i think 3/4 because even though that it was ridiculous it was still very funny to watch and i wasn't bored of it, maybe because i was watching it with a friend. I am glad it is over. The idea of an Ousama Game isn't too bad, but the execution was simply awful. An order game like this should give people a chance at least, instead they thought it was a good idea to turn it into a game in which basically everyone is sentenced to death already. I mean, it's technically not a battle royale (even though it kinda became one lol). Additionally, all characters were braindead to begin with and all I've seen was cringeworthy episode after cringeworthy episode. To be fair, it is not as bad as Pupa, but I think nothing is worse than Pupa, so that's that. A 2nd season.. meh. Maybe if I'm bored and want to watch another shitshow. |

I really enjoy deceit type games like dangaon ronpa ect, so this show was enjoyable enough for me to finish. I just dislike it when the game traps people into dying without any chance for everyone to survive. Natsuko should've been overpowered way earlier, and it was amusing to see just how long she could get away with being so overtly evil before it caught up with her. I liked nothing about this series. Everything felt forced, even the romance. And the mystery of what was behind the game itself was so stupid, it might as well have just been fucking magic. At first it was kinda funny at how ridiculously everyone acted, and than it started giving me a headache. What I don't get is, WHY DO SO MANY PEOPLE LIKE THIS SERIES? This is easily the worst anime I've ever seen, and I don't say that lightly. I'm a pretty lenient guy when it comes to characters, stories, plot holes, and even cliches, but wow, this one is just god awful. Its so bad, that its kinda good? But it's still really, really bad?! This fucking show has me speaking in loops, its so bad! Score - 2/10 A 2, because it made my stomach hurt from laughing so hard. Otherwise, I'd give it a 0. I didn't care about the story, if they cracked the case or if anyone survived. I watched this because it was the best comedy I've seen helped by it being a sadistic mess of a show that tries to take itself seriously. Garunteed laugh every episode. Was a little sad that Natsuko died. That yandere queen should have won and gone on to terrorize more people next season. On a pure enjoyment level I give this an 8. On a technical level I give it a 4. |

It was the sinking to the bottom of the ocean thing that confused me. We don't see that. It was insinuated that she drowned but wasn't shown so maybe she did survive. Also, Nobuaki made her promise to survive. So I think she may have lived and that's why it's continuing or they'll do a prequel type sequel. |

Says the person who finished it even though they hated it and even watched 5 episodes in a row. If people hate this so badly why don't they drop it after a few episodes? |

This was just bad. I can't believe I finished it all. To be continued? No. Please. That is really NOT necessary. |

It's called being a completionist. If you look at my list, you'll see I don't drop shows. No matter how horrible they are, I will suffer through them. I don't believe people are allowed to voice their opinions on something they didn't take the time to watch. I powered through it in one night to get it over with. The use of alcohol helped. |

Finally the end. It was extremely bad with so many things without senses. Fortunately, there was action, bad action, but action, so I succeed to finish it. After all the inconsistencies, it remains two main flaws: the characters and the pacing. The characters are not really introduced and die so quickly that I can't feel involved in the story or their deaths. It's almost fun to watch them die... And why did they made the two stories in one anime. The first episodes are so hard to understand, that even my brother who have read the manga was lost. Good OP. |

Kenny_Stryker said: Alright. So, remind me again how did they manage to get a chainsaw in middle of nowhere? Oh, and now they're trying to make Natsuko look good. WHAT?!?! This anime had so much potential to flourish, but nah. And, now everyone's dead (with Riona committing suicide by drowning herself with Nobouaki's body), then why the hell didn't King's Game stop? According to timeline, there shouldn't be anymore survivors of Kings Game, why did it send an email for another Kings Game? And, finally someone (Riona) tried to use their brain cells and actually tried to kill Natsuko. And, now it comes down to King's Game vs School Days. School days FTW!!! |

There's a reason it too me so long to finish this anime. It is ridiculously bad. Still don't get how the game can continue when everyone with the virus died. It would have made more sense if they had returned to the village where it all began but oh well, not everyone get what they want and at least its over (hopefully for good, even with the "to be continued" at the end). |

DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Lol, Natsuko is still at it with her malevolent intentions... It's almost sad to see how low she's fallen but then again, I guess the show really tried hard to make the viewers hate her. Also, Natsuko with a chainsaw...lol. Good God, this show was a complete disaster. It's a prime example of a terrible hororr series in every direction. Natsuko's taunting is still very evident in this finale too and she stlll tries to kill. Natsuko's death is well deserved tbh. 2/10. It definitely deserves it imo. I noticed a "to be continued" for this finale..I hope that won't happen. if you read the manga... oh boy.. |

I watched 'till the end because of Riona, she's the only reason why i didn't drop this damn series. So Nobuaki and his friends are in heaven even Natsuko after all those terrible things she has done, the author ain't know no shit about how heavens work, i tell you what. Everyone died at the end so that means the virus should have not spreaded but the after credit scene there's a guy receving a text from the King, like what the heck ? and it's also says "to be continued"... pls kill me now 4/10 |
