| Finally Milize the queen makes her long overdue comeback! I always knew they wouldnt just kill her off like that. This show GOATs so hard its insane. The episode directing was once again absolutely stellar. It trancends anime and becomes pure art, they really use the medium to its fullest in a way I have never seen before. We have powerhouse anime like AoTs finale this season and yet 86 comes in with a steelchair and steals the show. Take notes, this is kino. Cursed production schedule or not, A1 delivers with pure quality. I can only hope we get the next season ASAP or Im going insane. Waiting for LN translations is just not my thing amd honestly anime is the perfect medium for this. |

| Please allow me to be a broken record to the posts in this thread and say that the directing in this episode truly feels like peak cinema. If it actually finished airing in 2021, this is what I would've chosen for anime of the year. |

| It looks great, sure, but what about the plot? How am I supposed to care about the characters after the break and the previous events which were just dumb (oh yes crying will always defeat evil)? It feels really cheap how they just have all this build up and it leads nowhere. Instead they show Shin's feelings over and over again as if I don't remember what that was about and then in the end nothing really happens in this episode besides emotional ramblings. I don't think watching this episode changed anything or brought anything ot the table. It's disappointing. I waited for quite a while to watch an episode in which I learn that they are still as they were and almost saw each other but didn't. |

Second, as I said she didn't know Federacy uses Para-RAID too , and Shin switched it off immediately after he said "Major" , so she would not know if it is the pilot inside machine said that as he was using radio for communications. I see, why she didn't realize anything. No wonder people are confused, I think A-1 performed poorly in that interaction. Because the voice that was spread was exactly the voice of Shin. And I thought Lena would recognize he is Shin instantly, but that was wrong. That's why I thought this is so dumb. Why would she forget the voice of someone important? I was so confused. |

| Damn I completely forgot this even existed. That's one way to lost the momentum it carried . It's a shame , out of all the problems 86 has, I wouldn't have had "production value " in the list . Just shows how tight the industry is.. Guessing this is the end of this arc and the next ep will probably a cocnlusion and a bit of set up ep . Plot wise this arc was definitely worse than the first one , lot of mechanical aspects and the plot armour didn't make sense and got more apparent in the bigger picture . But it was a good characterizing for shin . Much needed , it wasnt quick in its developments but took its time building up his personality . Although a bit turbulent at times , it was a very satisfying conclusion and showed his worth as a MC . And it looks like it might be the end of my 86 journey , since the aspect I hate the most and find the most annoying has returned . It was a good season without her involvement , but alas .... Also , it felt very comical for her to not find out who is in the machine . And it would even more nonsensical if it turns out she still doesn't know who was in there in the next ep , considering there is like a dozen ways she could have found out ...... |

| Finally it's back with one of the strongest psychological episode and finally Shin and Lena's meeting for the 1st time, one of my fav episode overall but too bad it was after a 3 months break :( still great though |

| fucking WORTH IT!!! every minute and every second. holy shit im honestly glad they postponed it i dont think i would've preferred something with lower quality than this if i coulda chose this. fuckkk that was so good? shin breaking down. literally. not only inside his mind now, its so unbearable that he lets it out physically. That was AMAZING?? WOAHHH. and lena coming in at just the right time Maybe i criednguys ok justttt maybe. i cried. what the fuck did you guys SEEEEE thT ?? idfk what to call it. transition? edit? change?? WHATEVER!! that thing where the screen closed in as lena was speaking, and the "black" part turned into white when it panned into shin's expression as he's enlightened, and now as the scene is a lot more calming and happier, that white part turned transparent and finally, with lena's last words, as shin's heart is wholely free those transparent marks are gone MYYY GOD I ENJOYED THAT SO MUCH?? like such a little thing but it impacted me sm shin and lena's talk was amazing btw. hooooly fucking shit im definitely re-watching that again someday the way this ep ended on such a light hearted note :']] im praying the last ep has what the epilogue on vol 1 (ln) had |
| It's back, and it's back kicking, guns blazing. Still the same old beautiful, amazing series. My eyes were all watery and I had goosebumps all over when Lena was talking to Shin, especially her declaration of how she is not backing down. How she will always fight to reach the same place the five of them went to. It's really amazing to see Lena as she is today. Based on how things went, she's much bolder, much steadier, and definitely a great, decisive commander. But even through all that, she hasn't lost her kindness or optimism. It'll be a while before they can meet again. But after 22 episodes, Shin finally has some semblance of a purpose. Also so glad everyone survived. I was so afraid. So I'm guessing Milize is now the commander of the remnants of the Republic? The Republic is going to become a much better place with her in command. I mean 86ers like her right-hand woman is already standing next to her as an equal. Also, they keep calling her Your Highness but I'm pretty sure that's something they gave her instead of her asking for it. Ah, can't believe the season is ending. Definitely need a season 2. Will see the last episode first. |

| Man... a great fricking comeback for 86 after months just for the left 2 episodes. I'm sad that this and the next episode are the last ones... But, that was an emotional ride for sure. Shin and Lena were so close to meeting each other and yet so far. But, I know they're gonna meet soon so, that's a relief. One thing I'm gonna say is that the director for this show is probably becoming one of my favorites of all time. What a great job, man. Incredible. |

| Alright, better late watching than never, right? So, i am be honest here guys. First thing first, this is perfectly my face when Shin decided not to told Lena her name:  But, wait a minute. Dang, kid, you survived! Then, at the same time, i couldn't lie when my eyes entirely teary having Shin amazed at how Lena successfully make him return to the earth. I can relate with all the frustation he got and then, bam, surprise, your girl just right in front of you. Heck yea! Too bad indeed, there's a certain plot device that, ( honestly its should be expected, but still, why author, why!) prevent them to know each other prematurely. Cuckblock for real guys, be honest xd. All in all, even though i can't help but creating pikachu face having them all survive, safe, and healthy in one piece. But not gonna lie, i am glad that they are still the bunch of mc for the next possible season! One more episode for the last binge. Hopefully the continuations won't be far more than three years.... |
