| So Koito is actually a bad person and didn't actually mean to commit suicide, okay. Ohto really wanted to talk to Neiru, and gets rejected as she's not the real one. But once she actually calls back, I guess she doesn't anymore after she finds out she's not human? Actually no, she has a random flashback and decides she wants to see her after all. Too many unresolved points to justify using the first 25 min. as a recap. Honestly this was a pretty interesting show, but wasted so much potential for the last few episodes. The CloverWorks curse strikes again. |
| Honestly I didn't like it all that much. When I heard it was gonna be a 45 minute special I thought Oh maybe some good content but nope just an episode's worth of a recap plus an episode length that just made more confusion. Wasn't all that great |

| Honestly heavily disagree with the people upset about the first half being a recap. The anime is so fucking confusing (in great ways), you CANNOT tell me you remembered every detail. I certainly needed a reminder of the girls, the person they wished to save and why... ect ect Though a little disappointing in that it didn't help explain pretty much anything, I don't really care. I don't see why people need a perfectly summed up ending with everything wrapped up in a nice little bow. I like to be confused, strung along and left to unpack what I watched. |

| There are some posts explaining what is (probably) happened so I kinda understand better after reading. But in my opinion script writers just could not put the breaks on and story got out of control (and reasoning). There were no need in parallel words or anything beside Frill/ACCAs arc wrapped in some decent way. Let alone dropping more unexplained stuff in 'special'. E.g. in case of manga\novel there are editors who used to keep authors in check. But for this show CW got 'big shot' of a writer and could not put a leash on him it seems. |
| I'm kind of appalled, to be honest. It feels like the production forgot what the plotlines from the first 12 episodes were and tried to conclude the story out of memory or something like that. That's just surreal. At least the animation is still pretty gorgeous, I give them that. But, unless we get a second season, a movie, an OVA or anything, it's going to go down to history as the anime who tricked us with pretty looks and made us feel like a bunch of clowns. |

| Am i the only one found this to be good wtf? Though, that being said, I do hope this is not the end, and that we're getting a s2 eventually. I really wanted to see more of Frill. Though, if this is truly it, I agree how TPN s2ish it feels. I'm going to count this is as its own episode and not some finale. 7/10 |

| Don't get the hate in here.... Problem is not the story , Animation or writing that we saw executed in this special The Problem is just the loose end....the inconclusive/incomplete Storyline and it's unanswered Questions. IF there are Sequels in the future...this wasn't actually that bad for a special, imo ...If there won't be any more to this story , then yes....im kinda dissappointed overall as well... All I can say is that the Ending sucked in this case, tho...but I got intrigued by the Show nevertheless. |

| Yikes. The recap was alright I guess? I didn't care much for it and it honestly made me like the series less watching scenes for the second time. It convinced me to drop the score of the main series to a 6 from a 7. Thanks a lot recap. For the actual episode, I can tell what they were going for but it seemed to have an opposite effect. Too much nothing and too unsatisfying. 2/10 |

| The recap didn't really bother me, I mean it's been three months. But, the episode itself is what the fuck. I think it was really interesting by itself, but as an ending, this was shit. The Neiru stuff is honestly interesting, there are already some hints of it in the Kotobuki episode, would have never predicted it though lmao. The problem is, they pretty much threw in the trash all the other plot points they built up like Frill, Acca, Ura Acca, the monsters Frill made and the Warriors of Eros stuff. So from my understanding after watching it multiple times, cause I really didn't understand anything the first time and just thought what the fuck the whole time lmao. Neiru is an AI built by the original Kotobuki in the image of Airu. Airu pretty much got jealous of Neiru, so she stabbed her and then killed herself. The friends they saved are probably like from parallel worlds brought into their world. Like Frill, Neiru wanted to be human. Neiru probably killed herself when Ai didn't answer her phone call. That's why Ai will try to meet her through the egg? Also realized Ai's name is probably on purpose. Ooto Ai, Auto Artificial Intelligence or something lmao. I don't know yet what message this ending tried to convey, I still need to process everything that happened this episode. But I think it was pretty tragic, their friends are alive again but at what cost? For now, I am gonna give this a 6.5/10 |

| The only reason I can think of why it took 3 months to release this episode is that they were waiting to see receptions of the whole series, to see if they should end the show, or continue with a second season, so they could make this episode accordingly after the season ended. And surely it's the latter, so I don't think there's any need to hate the episode. There's no way it was delayed 3-month long since it's just a regular 23-min episode that could have been easily aired with the rest of the show if not for the reason I stated (or so I hope...). Ai also did V signs ("2" fingers) at the end. To me, it looks like they telling us that there's gonna be a second season. |

| Kind of a pointless "finale." Just left it open-ended with unanswered questions for a potential season 2. The thing is, if it gets a season 2, they would have been better starting it off with that. Great series, generic finale. Hoping for a season 2 someday that fixes and answers things. |
| So what i dont get is: when they referred to "the girl u met at the office was airu" do they mean the first time she met neiru? Also how going back to the Wonder egg world will allow Ai to meet neiru? |

| After episode 6 this anime started going downhill the only good thing was knowing acca and ura acca story also animation was a solid 8/10, as for the anime itself 6/10. What a waste of time...many plotholes and answers. |

| ok I'm going to come to the defense of this episode for a minute. I am not dissatisfied with the story direction, and I'm ok with how it concluded. There are no important questions that aren't at least half-resolved. Neiru was a robot. There are parallel worlds. When a wonder egg is cracked, the young girls who killed themselves are not reborn; they're pulled from another timeline. We can't be angry this series steeped in surrealistic fantasy from episode 1 decided to reconfigure its modus operandi. When the girls accomplish their mission, Frill takes it upon herself to "restore balance" by killing the girl -- or, in substitute, their pet. For Ai, the parallel Ai sacrificed herself instead. We're not gonna get a resolution to Frill's arc. I'm fine with that. Not every arc needs a resolution. Everything that happened here makes perfect sense within the context of the series. Now Ai is going on another round of wonder egg restoration to retrieve Neiru, presumably reborn in another timeline as a human. There are questions here, but none that ruin the scope of the plot point. I'm perfectly content leaving some questions to the imagination. People jizz all over Serial Experiments Lain and similar shows for that sort of storytelling. ... so why the FUUUUUCK did they condense all of the series twists -- all of which easily justifiable -- into the span of precisely 2 episodes? We didn't even know Frill existed until episode 11. We got another ep of recap in this conclusion. Wasn't there a recap in the season proper, too? Pretty much all of the actual plot happened in the ass end of the series with virtually zero buildup, foreshadowing (maybe? I'd need to rewatch to confirm that), and paced at breakneck speed. The problem isn't the twists, and it isn't the lack of resolution. It's the pacing. The audience isn't even given time to digest the sudden shifts. I had to rewatch parts of the last couple episodes, then cognitively break down everything that happened here to process what actually happened. I'm not surprised half the audience is fucking baffled. wtf man. anyway the tone and plot sequence is still peak Zadicore shit despite the criticisms so it is not ruined for me. would rewatch/10. |

| It was an ok episode if it's not the last episode for this anime... They end it horribly with a unfinished story. No wonder they didn't show hows Neiru sister look like before, it's because she look exactly the same as Neiru is. Of course the dead person won't get resurrect that easily, they just get the 'same' person from the parallel timeline. If they do make a 2nd season, I bet Episode 8 is going to be a recap episode again xD |
