| A little rough around the edges, but fun all the same. I wish there was a little more finesse in the exposition — the manga never really took a breather. Some of it is conveyed a bit haphazardly. I liked that the author wasn't afraid to just kill characters dead, even early on. Gave it a lot of weight, especially for an action shounen. The art was pretty good, but I definitely think it lacked a bit of depth. Glad there's going to be more because the Blood Devil needs to come back! |

| Hey, he really didn't forget Makima's bite. I'm liken Nayuta already. Denji the hero coming in to save the day, lovely final panel. This manga was really good and really bingeable, but I still think it was far too fast-paced. Maybe, given like 60 more chapters, I'd be an all-time great. |

| After dropping it early when only 3 chapters were out, I went into Chainsaw Man again not caring what fanboys or hater say about it. It was a highly entertaining read that didn't let you go till the end. Especially during the last third it picked up like crazy with nonstop action and some shocking twists. 8,5/10 for now, looking forward to see how the next part will follow up. |

| Felt a bit rushed but pretty good arc overall The beginning of the arc was a really good introduction to chainsaw man I personally think the middle of this arc was boring. But luckily we get a decent ending and a epic final battle to make up for it. This arc is definitely a 8/10 |

| This was a good read!!! So this was the CSM manga eh? Part 1 that is :) Some moments were amazing, some moments were funny, there were some that felt weird and some that I didn't quite understand. Anyways the series was great!!!! I enjoyed reading each chapter and the art was fantastic!!! Off I go to read part 2 now!!!! |
| Well that's that for now I guess, it was quite the ride, a ride you can experience in like a number of hours. Gotta admit that I was hoping for a far more simpler kind of plot line, no insane plot-twists, nothing overly convoluted or out of this world. I suppose that is the appeal of chainsaw man though, after all who doesn't want to see a guy with chainsaws sticking out of his head and arms riding a shark through a tornado. But personally I just felt like it was too much, especially towards the end where all hell literally was breaking lose- and it all was moving just a little too fast imo. Apart from the extremities that it's known for, it still really does abide by your usual shounen tropes. There definitely is a story here, but honestly I was expecting a more substantial one other than just pure carnage. I can't call it solid, because it felt a little shaky. Can't exactly call it amazing or ground-breaking either. I'll just call it... insane... and wild... and other adjectives along those lines. 7/10 I'll stop rambling on here, it was a fun read for sure, and I'm really excited to see it all brought to life (or rather, DEATH) by MAPPA in just over a month or so. If the trailers are anything at all to go by, they're probably gonna knock this one out of the park as they usually do. Anyway, gonna continue reading the next part of this series, with an all-new cast probably because our previous cast is pretty much all dead lol except for the old dude |

| Volume 9 was the peak of the series. That volume got to me, but aside from the action, these last 2 volumes were kind of a letdown. I’m not the biggest fan of how it all turned out at the end tbh, but I‘m glad that Denji and the master (surprisingly) survived. I do hate the fact that he still loved that b*tch Makima tho. Honestly I just don’t see why people love her. She’s ugly and she’s not even that great of a villain imo. Oh well, I’ll have to continue reading to see “father figure CSM”. Hope this reborn control devil doesn’t become trash like Makima again. Part 1 is a 7.5/10 for me, rounded up to 8. Oh, and I do hope that Power and Denji reunite π€π½ |

| Makima did not revive, but the demon of control is alive in another person, Nayuta. Denji will take care of her, and remain Chainsaw Man. And that's the end of Part 1: Public Safety. I liked it a lot, now I'm really looking forward to see how the anime will be adapted. Great manga, now I will start the 2nd part. |

| 97 Chapters, Part 1: Public Security End. 3/10. This story is worse in flaws than Fire Punch. So, Makima gets defeated by Denji. Although, to completely kill her, he consumes her. Except, even though Makima is now dead, the devil in her revived and became a child, named Nayuta. Denji will now be going to high school for the first time, and caring for Nayuta as her guardian. As a devil, her dream is to be cherished (hugged) just like Pochita's dream. |

That was the only valid way to defeat an entity like Makima and Denji did it in a way that inherently matches his character and persona throughout the story. As for Nayuta as the new control devil, after Makima was killed, she returned to hell, probably got spawned killed there and immediately returned back in a new host. Remember, they devils never die and they have endless cycle of rebirth 2. Denji never got to experience a regular tennage life before because he was dragged into the devil hunter life first by the Yakuza then Makima. He will now finally start his real life, what's wrong with that? 3. The only time Makima ever expressed any emotion was during the date chapter when she saw one of many movies with Denji. What was that movie scene? PEOPLE HUGGING EACH OTHER. That's what she always wanted. A relationship on equal standing and a family but she could never do that because she was the control devil |

Makes me appreciate the characters better but I still greatly dislike them along with the immature forced comedy and lust factor, even with the rational of Makima being the Devil of Dominance which makes people inevitably "fall for her". It's all very fast paced with little to no insight or explanation to the world building's logic. Regardless, as great as the action is, and as interesting as the concept with plots are, I don't like this story with these dislikeable characters. So much of it is so abrupt. The mystery seemed interesting, but. Denji ruins it for me. Makima dying... Hard to explain more without more time to reflect in pinpointing the flaws. |

Welp, can't impress everybody but your argument about the characters being dislikable is very new to my eyes. Most people love CSM for its characters but oh well.. I will have to agree about the pacing being generally too fast and no world building whatsoever but that's not what's the story is about. Atleast that's my perception. The story is taking place in a very real world where Fujimoto has managed to disrupt the distinction between fact & fiction A re-read helps very much for the core understanding of some plot details that you might've missed that'll help you to understand the story a bit more Have a nice day |
