| I was supposed to stop at ep 20 ytd but I got totally hooked that I couldn't stop watching and then decided to stop here to spare myself from the repercussions following the revelation abt Manaka till in the morning. On the Kaname x Sayu side, I liked the scene where Sayu was feeding the fish and overheard abt Kaname suggesting to take Chisaki out again. I thought the scene would be played out better if after Kaname reassured Chisaki that he's 'joking', Sayu let go her breath that she didn't realize she was holding. I hope Kaname would just give up on Chisaki and then realize Sayu's feelings for him and then end up with Sayu. And woah...third part of the ep was intense! Now that I think about it, when Uroko-sama commented in the first two eps about Manaka smelling like she's 'ready for mating season', I brushed that moment off as one of his perverted tendencies but I think he was all up at Manaka's business at that time cos he knew that Manaka was gg to be the sacrifice for the Boatdrift Ceremony. Cos Uroko-sama said the same thing abt Miuna's Ena (that was given to her by Manaka). Wow this anime has been foreshadowing important plot elements since the very beginning! Kinda sucks that Manaka can't even feel love anymore. She's going to be neutral to everything and everyone. Wonder what's gg to happen next...but I'm gonna mentally prepare myself first for the last 4 eps with some good night's sleep XD |

| Well, that's pretty harsh when you think about it - stripping people of their emotions, leaving them empty.. it changes them from inside. I thought Manaka is acting weird after her waking up and now we have it - she is denied of those precious feelings she had. But Hikari forgets those feelings wasn't for him. And now I am thinking - when I recall that scene with Miuna swimming in Manaka's ena - are those feelings for Hikari hers? Could it be she absorbed them from Manaka? I guess the situation is getting even more complicated than before. But on the other hand, I kinda like this developement, nothing is certain and I wonder if (and for what price) she will remember. OP implies some ritual between Manaka and Miuna I guess that would be the point when Miuna loses something very important to her. I love this series. |

| Manaka lost the ability to love. That's sad. Too sad. What a twist! I feel horrible for Hikari. That explais why she's doesn't have heavy emotions. That's what made her so carefree. That's why she's didn't feel flustered when she saw Tsumugu or Hiakri. Also explains why she lost some memories and not all. She lost memories that pertain to love. Now Hikari will never know what Manaka wanted to tell him! I wanted to know! Those dead eyes in the end. Chills. HiakriXManaka ship sunk!? I don't know. I think it's too early to tell. Looks like both Kaname and Tsumugu are heading toward Chiskai to get an answer. Hoping for a TsumuguXChisaki! This anime is something else. Only a few episodes left. I wonder what'll happen. We know for sure that she gets her Ena back beacuse the OP says so. But the ED looks like she'll never be able to love since it has a feeling of melancholy. God I love this anime! |

| It was interesting to learn more about the "Sea God". So when he died his essence basically scattered through the ocean, and his raw, unrestricted emotions are what actually caused the incident with the Ofunehiki 5 years ago! And it's these same emotions that are afraid of letting Manaka, aka his Ojoshi-sama, go back to the surface and took away her ability to love. The cruel "if I can't have you, no one can" strategy... Kinda tragic seeing Manaka appear so happy but have such dead eyes |

| There goes Hikari being an abusive jerk again pushing a girl to the ground, being verbally abusive, attacking the scale. This dude needs to take a chill pill, he's always running off of rage/testosterone. Looks like he will never have Manaka in an intimate way. I wonder if Manaka's ena will grow back though, I am guessing probably not. I assume Miune got Manaka's ena, so she could follow Manaka's residual emotions leading the others to the village and her. Also its funny that the scale actually went for the porno mags and the food. He said you would need more than this to find me, yet he had both things in his possession lol. |

| I thought Manaka was just faking it to make the gang stay together, since she's known to lie for reasons like that. Since the OP has Miuna dressed up like Manaka I'm guessing she'll try to sacrifice herself. Manaka sure causes trouble for everyone. |

| My heart hurts so much right now. We got a lot of answers about the Sea God, the current situation faced by the world, and what happened to Manaka there, but that includes the terrifying truth about the consequences of having saved her: she's no longer able to feel love towards other people, either the classic definition or love, or just the affection towards others that makes us feel happy or sad for what happens to them, this is so, so cruel. She was either doomed to stay there or see how a gigantic part of what makes us what we are gets taken away, and she can't even notice it. This explains so much why she acted like if nothing mattered during these episodes since she woke up, it wasn't just her way to be, she really can't feel anything, this is too painful, and this doesn't include how Hikari must feel right now having known that the person he loves might never feel anything towards him anymore, not just corresponding love, no, just having affection towards him included, what a tragic reveal. |

| It didn't surprise me that Manaka can't love anyone any longer. Because she could remember all other memories but couldnt remember the ones with Tsumugu or Hikari which are potential love rivals of Sea God haha I'm wondering if Hikari can still love her even it is one-sided. And i really dont like Miuna nuch:/ So i dont want that she "sacrifice" herself for her beloved lover Hikari *rolling eyes* :/ And i love Uroko-sama. :D He is one of that rare eccentric characters in the show *-* I am happy to see him again :D |

| There it is. Every possible romantic moment Manaka had with any other character has been forgotten and she has lost the ability to love again. I wasn't expecting these turn of events. Uroko-sama's narration of the legend was fascinating too. I am certain they are going to attempt something to restore Manaka's memories judging from the op. |

| Hory shiet can this get any more spicy? Not just the 4d love hexagon but now this? Someone will have to die if they want to up the spice more. Probably Miuna taking Manakas place as the lady since she didnt just get ena for no reaeon. Though with Manaka out of the equation the ships can be resolved nicely. That beeing said for some reason I just really do not like the Chisaki x surface boy ship. Its just a bit too convenient. He never had a specific interest in anyone and only now cockblocks Kaname. Speaking of which Chisaki had 5 years to think about and still did not give him an answer. Poor boy doesnt just have Hikari to worry about but surface boy too. Lets just say the ex lolis odd affection to someone they spend 2 month with 5 years ago is healthy and it works? Would have liked to know what the new plan is for the hibernation since the cold is clearly not over and it doesnt look like the rest of the village will wake up. The kids ena wasnt thicc enough I guess? Good job scalie man, what are you even getting paid for. |

| Her ability to "love" was taken away... as an asexual in the asexual community, it reminds me of aromanticism! Someone who can feel sexual attraction, but doesn't feel the need to kiss, hold hands, or be romantically involved with anyone specific. Of course platonic love still exists! It is just going to be harder for Hikari or others who are into Manaka, but she won't feel anything. As much as she wanted to be with Tsumugu, she's different now. And she can still live a happy and fulfilled life, as sad as this story is turning out 😅😅 |
