Completely different circumstances. Death is not treated lightly in this show. It is shown as the horror it is. Rokka No Yuusha- Like I said. No pointless deaths, it was kill or be killed in their minds. Plus the murder attempts were treated with a very serious and dangerous tone. Steins; Gate- Those would be murderers were either criminals or manipulated. The criminals such as Mr Braun ended up in a timeline where it didn't happen so he couldn't be punished. Also he is painted as a clear villain. Re:Zero- Genuine reasoning. Also 'every character'? Complete stretch. Rem killed him twice based off of the genuine association with the witches and her terrible past. Roswaal maybe in manga but he is also painted as sinister, not a 'kawaii' girl like the onee san in this anime. Barakamon of course not. In the anime we are discussing, the girl nearly subjected an innocent male to a torturous death and it is clear she won't be held accountable for her actions. If anything it will be referenced as comic relief. That I cannot stand. |

And I'm guessing this girl will have some tear jerking backstory, yes? Something that will make EVERYONE simply forget how in this episode she nearly buried someone alive with the intention of suffocating them so they die. Of course, no one will care about that though. They'll dub her 'waifu' or ship her and the MC instantly, because she's pretty and it doesn't matter what she does. You complained about a trope where people who did bad stuff ends up being shown as a good guy after a tearjerking backstory...Which exactly happens in almost all of your favorites...Read what you said in your first post again,what you said in your first post and last post doesnt match...keep in mind that people cant see whats in your head,we can only respond to things you wrote...(i,too make that same mistake all the time) And be careful,you wrote lots of spoilers in your last comment |

| I don't get it... I laughed half of the episode to preserve my sanity. My mind blew up. I'm giving it 2-3 episodes. If stuff are still so unclear/illogical it's a drop. |

| i enjoyed it but i don't think there are any impressive aspect/content in this episode. it's just generic imo. the reason why i enjoyed it because of the atmosphere or you could say because of the soundtrack too. sub-reason; because of the animation. looks kinda dark and cool. put that aside, zombie came out from underground moreover from the grave, that is WAYYYY tooo classic lol xD i was expecting something like Zombieland : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1156398/ but that was what i got. kinda dissapointing. if they focused more on the zombie and put away the supernatural content it would probably looked way better than this imo. but anyway, i'm still gonna watch it cause i'm curious about the story even tho it's kinda generic in my eyes. |

But that was your only real valid point. In replying to Fai I attempted to explain my point of view in order to respectfully justify my points. Also, I believe twice I have explained that the animes on my favourites do NOT include pointless death. The main character presented here was innocent and had done nothing to inspire a murder attempt. Nonetheless he was almost buried alive for no good reason. I treat the characters in anime with the same way I treat the story, caring about both. A girl nearly buries alive an innocent man with NO cause, of course I would be upset. |
| Despite the MC being immensely stupid and some less than fluid animation, it wasnt that bad. I like the female MC enough to keep watching. |

From that moment, Zhang Chulan's destiny begins to move...... ---------------------------------------------------------- That’s not what happened (at least in the anime version).... synopsis needs to be fixed. Chulan didn’t save anyone, Chulan didn’t have a kitchen knife, the girl didn’t tell Chulan to face his hardships; she just left him there after she got bored of killing zombies. I don’t know. The episode was alright I guess. I was expecting this to feel more intriguing and mysterious, but that wasn’t really the case. I will give it a change for the time being though. |

| I don't know how I feel about this anime. It's the comedy that made this anime just "meh". Other than that... Well, I really can't say anything else. It was fair at best. But that's just episode one. I guess we'll have to wait and see. |

| I didn't see a psychological, dementia, horror, or even a thriller tag on this anime. Even though it also lacked a comedy tag, excusing the main character's stupidity came pretty naturally to me since this isn't an anime to take that seriously, which is sad since we really need more serious zombie anime. |

| that was kinda good, I liked the badass female character looks mysterious and really cool, the MC though is clumsy but that was something he did even if I didn't see it, loved the opening, the ending wasn't bad either, I'm not used to chinese names guess it will take me time to learn them. |

| Why is this rated in the 4000s when stuff like Ange Vierge and Qualidea Code are several thousand better in the rankings? So stupid. It's no masterpiece but at least there weren't 30 shows exactly like it in the last year. |

This season has been disappointing so far already dropped 3 series and only 1-2 episodes out -.- EDIT: High school of the dead wasn't great but at least the male MC knew when to fight and he could kick ass but this guy is like. "H-H-Hey guys, don't hurt me....I didn't do anything..." |

Hurts me when the translators use the Chinese name instead. Guess it's not as bad as Kingdom, as I know which character is which here... >> Not really into zombies, and I don't know what they're doing with the story here... |

| Pretty sure she wasn't trying to kill him by burying him alive.. Maybe she was thinking it would be safer for him to hide in the ground instead of trying to fight the zombies? :x MC actually seems pretty normal if you ask me. As in "real-world average college student" kind of normal, not "anime MC" normal.. Most humans, regardless of what they hope or say, fall under the "flight" portion of fight/flight response when actually confronted with a life threatening situation and frequently have the deer-in-the-headlights response if the situation is beyond the scope of expected reality. Doesn't make him any better of a lead role, but at least his reactions were natural. ... I think I too would probably try to negotiate with the crazy lady who was trying to bury me after whacking me in the head with a shovel before trying to run away again.. since the first time I ran didn't go so well... >.> Seems like it could be quite fun to watch, or just as easily become a trainwreck... I'm looking forward to finding out which it'll end up as. XD The only big red flag I picked up on from the first episode was the noticeably jiggly OP sequence.. Really wasn't expecting non-zombie-killing fanservice from this at all. |

I went to look it up a bit after seeing your comment :) The translations use the Chinese terms as it is but doesn't explain it so it's hard to understand. Gonna post a bit of what I find here for what it's worth. Qingming Festival (清明节): aka tomb sweeping day whereby the Chinese visit the graves of their ancestors to offer prayer Jiangshi (僵尸): Chinese hopping ghost/vampire/zombie. You know, the ones wearing a Qing dynasty official's clothes and hopping around with their arms stretched out in front of them. Xiangxi ganshi (湘西赶尸): Refers to a folk practice popular in Xiangxi prefecture where most people go to other areas to work. When they die far away from home and their family can't afford to bring the body home, that's when they get the Taoist priest to reanimate the corpse and have it hop its way home. Episode 1 didn't leave an impression on me. Feels messy in some parts too. I need to watch another episode or two before I can form an opinion. |
