Did you finish it? What do you think?

You'll probably dislike it but still, give it a try. If the first five episodes are no good to you then it might be hopeless.

I think it started like this though I don't remember much.
1) MC guy ends up seeing tsundere gal in her bathing moments in the wilderness.
2) Tsundere gal is pissed off and attacks MC.
3) MC manages to survive and situation get better from there.

In zero no tsukaima, Saito was treated as a slave by Louise because he was her familiar and the way their relationship evolved was very "what the fuck", "do things happen because, well, because?". While it is still pretty "generically" "just happen just because" in seirei no tsukai blade dance, I feel the interaction between the MC and his main love interest are handled better, and they have a better characterization. Not going to lie, anime is still a harem and adaptation is pretty short. Not having read the light novel either, I am not sure it is a good adaptation or not.

You have the typical girl (his spirit familiar here) going into his bed while he sleeps and when the girls see it, they all go crazy because he supposedly abuses her (its obviously not his fault). She's also going inside naked. I don't know if there's any trope for this but I see it pretty often in manga/anime these days. That kind of thing tends to really piss me off.

And when I say the MC isn't Shiba Tatsuya I'm not saying he is impotent. I'm rather tolerent on these things though. Whether the MC is ultra-powered up... or if he's just a random guy striving to survive like Subaru in Re:Zero.

People fight each others in school not only with weaponns but also with spirits, and it's taking a much more fantasy route than say "Hundred", "Rakudai Kishi no cavalry", "Infinite Stratos" and the others. That's why I said it's pretty different from them. However, the school harem fight mold is pretty much the same as rakudai. That's why I said it felt like a fusion between Zero no Tsukaima (for the fantasy part) and Rakudai kishi no cavalry (for the harem in school fighting setting).

Anyway... try it a little and tell me what you think of it. If it's passable, or if you find it is utter shit/a waste of time. I'm kind of interested about other's opinion on this anime (I mean seirei tsukai no blade dance).

About blade dance... I don't really know what your standards would be and because you don't really have a list I couldn't tell you. I suppose if you take it seriously you'll be disappointed, but if you just watch it casually it might be enjoyable . At least, to me it is a bit different than all the other harem school stories and you might want to give it a shot.

MC can be dense, sometimes not.
He is not weak (far from) but he isn't gary-stu-the-almighty (I liked this). Dude isn't Tatsuya Shiba for sure.
The harem girls fighting over him are presented in a similar way to "the familiar of zero"
Tsundere gal pissed me off. Childish too. Felt like Louise in zero no tsukaima or Taiga in Toradora, you know, these kinds. Violent for no freaking reason.

Edit: Don't worry. It isn't Big Order level of bad. It's quite good compared. Big Order is an insult to everything ^^

No, I totally agree and understand where you're coming from and have experienced similar feelings toward some characters like that as well.

Glad our argument turned into an agreement of understanding~!
It’s time to ditch the text file.
