| Pretty good first episode. Even though it's got the "Battle of Gods" super high stakes feel in the background (which is something of a continuation from the Buu arc in the sense that a planet could be destroyed in an instant), it feels more like the fun-loving times of the original Dragon Ball series. I always preferred Dragon Ball over Dragon Ball Z, so this makes me happy. This will especially be true if they continue to use the full cast of characters, as well as keep that scale (of combat) from Dragon Ball Z present. This was a fun re-introduction episodes, and I can't wait for more! |
| My God! I watched the Buu saga over and over again during my childhood and I'm finnaly watching a new episode! It just became my favorite! Kibito Kai looks the best with the new art style, how can a character look so fabulous!? But Videl looked better with the old art style, she took too much sun and looks plain now... I wonder if this will be a slice of life anime... I mean, we DO know that they will all be fine in 10 years so... |

| It was okay, basically same content from the manga chapter that came out. The openng and ending were cool, liked the ending better though. Hope it doens't feel to redundant as the series progresses, considering the movies are going to be adapted into the series. |

| Well I got to say that at first I was sceptical that the first two arcs will be based on the movies. But I LOVED THE FIRST EPISODE. I am so happy it is back. I watched the RAW version and I will watch the sub version later again. |
| Average episode. Snake is stronger than Saiyan, lol 3/5 Beerus destroy planet so easily so this episode is proof that Goku > superman. |
| I like the episode, funny but naive. Definitely Dragon Ball at its finest. But the way, how this episode was SOOO better, in animation and rhythm, that the first of Sailor Moon Crystal? If i were Naoko Takeuchi I would feel sad because this fact XD |

| I really liked it. I made a short review (as spoiler free as i could) and it think it was really great. Could say i'm in the fanboy camp so perhaps my opinion does not matter, but what i really liked about this episode was how "Dragon Ball" it felt, not Z. I have nothing against Z but it was nice to just get a "normal" episode and just see how a couple of the characters is doing. I can't wait for episode 2! |

| Already better than the whole season of GT in the first episode and totally lived up to my expectations. It just felt like classic Dragonball... very light-hearted fun for a first episode. Seems to be following the events leading up to BoG as expected... but Beerus is awake already which is abit different. Also MAL needs to update this show from 'other' and into 'sequel' tag of Dragonball Z. They need to put GT into 'other' imo and not 'sequel' too. |

| Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances. He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter. Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga. Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month. Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel. The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck. |

| Finally, Mr. Satan has redeemed himself in my eyes! I remember as a kid he was one of my most hated characters, because he took all the credit for saving the world lol. It feels like Toriyama is wrapping it up with the old characters and making room for new ones to come in the 3 new arcs. I do hope he makes a throwback every now and then - it feels so nostalgic to see Videl, Roshi, Piccolo, etc. |

| 1. The World Peace Prize. Who's Getting the 100 Million Zeni?! Original Airdate: July 5, 2015 Six months have passed since the climactic battle with Majin Buu and the Earth is at peace. In an effort to make a living Goku has begun working the fields, while Goten seeks a wedding gift for his new sister-in-law Videl. When Mr. Satan receives the world peace prize along with a substantial amount of cash he gives the money to Goku. With it, Chi Chi allows her husband to leave the fields and visit King Kai. Elsewhere, Kibito Kai senses the destruction of another planet at the hands of Beerus, God of Destruction. A new Dragon Ball series is upon us! Rejoice! :D While it's likely no surprise, I loved our first outing. It had a much slower, slice of life feel, but then I love slice of life anime. Seeing Goten spend time with his dad was very nice. We didn't get much of that at the end of Z. I was a bit surprised to see Gohan has already moved out but...why not? :D It looks like Chi Chi has already shifted her attention to her younger son. Good on Videl, playing along with Goten's gift, always liked her. Goten and Trunk's brief fight with the snake was enjoyable enough, but the best part of the episode was, of course, Buu!:D Satan was walking quite the tightrope denying him food...in public. In private we all know who's boss. And what's Dragon Ball without a little random perversion from Master Roshi? :D Finally, we saw Beerus, God of Destruction. In Battle of Gods he's supposed to be sleeping right now, thus confirming this series intends to re-tell those events. It was a brief but enjoyable appearance, and went as you might expect. Moving onto the opening and ending I enjoyed the visuals for both. Our cast overview in the op, and Goku with his loved ones in the ed. The songs themselves were just okay. I suspect they'll grow on me over time. I did love that brief instrumental portion of the op's refrain that played over the title card. But yeah, new Dragon Ball in 2015. It feels so weird but good to see these characters with a more modern look, but I look forward to more! :D Rating: 7/7 This Week in Buu: In addition to being in the op and ed Buu crashes Mr. Satan's press conference in search of food. He's also in the second mid-card, which seems to focus on Satan's family. Did You Notice?: We see two of Mr. Satan's Cell Games Era lackeys this episode, Piiza and Caroni. Also, the figure on the Zeni is Akira Toriyama's well known stand-in, the Tori-Bot. Next: Vegeta takes a vacation, hilarity ensues. |
| Absolutely loved this episode! Goku in a tractor was LOL and then Goten started driving 0_0 Picollo stalker much? The second half was absolutely adorable Trunks and Goten are so cute! also poor snake xD Good job Satan now Goku can go train with Kaio and Chichi is going to make Goten study, poor boy. Next episode will be pretty funny Vegeta, Bulma and Trunks in a family trip! |

| Oh this was a great episode. Picollo's disapproval at seeing Gohan and Videl walking happily. He's just discontent because Gohan stopped training, but I bet Picollo would be the one to accompany Gohan to the wedding. The OP was nice. SSJ 3 Goku was shown along with Mystic Gohan powering up, and Gohan was also fighting. Goten/Trunks those rascals. They literally gave Videl just water, but to Videl that water was more than just water. Gotta love Videl on that one, she made it look like it was a cosmetic. Speaking of Videl, I'm loving her new look, much better than tomboy Videl back in the Buu arc. Goku takes the easy way out lol Here I was expecting Goku to actually try and grow his radishes or whatever vegetables he planned to grow. Walks in like a boss and opens the briefcase Seto Kaiba style. Chi-Chi is shocked to see Goku bring a whopping 100 millions zeniis to the house. And just like she did to Gohan she wants Goten to become a scholar. Darn that Chi-Chi. More Goku stuff. Since when did Goten learn to use a tractor? Tells his boy to use it while he eats, then he sort of trains and Goten falls off the cliff. No parental supervision present. GG Goku Preview for next episode: Vegeta goes on a trip with his family. I'm looking forward to Vegeta being in public. It's been a while since Vegeta was shown in regular clothes. Last I remembered was back when he had the pink shirt on lol |

| I really hope they keep up these slice-of-life episodes for a bit longer. The show started off with a great first episode. Next week we get Vegeta's big adventure that is going to be hilarious. |

| ^Why are you watching this series lol. This first episode is what Dragon Ball was at it's core. It's an awesome way to start the series. If you aren't fond of comedy or the lighthearted approach it takes then you probably wont enjoy Super. Not everything is about powerlevels. If you watched closely there's a scene where Goten is about to blast that snake and he gets yelled at by Trunk because he would have killed those people at the hot spring. It's peace time they don't need to go overboard. There will definitely be battles but this is also an integral part of what made DB great. |

| Pretty decent first episode. Nothing really special, but it's just nice to see new Dragon Ball stuff again. I like that they give most ofl the important character a little bit of screen time to re-introduce them, helps people new to the series get into it too. Looking at the preview for episode 2, it seems like they're going to keep the pacing up and we'll be getting a bit of action. I want to start watching this with English dubs, though. The Japanese voices just aren't great. |

| So there will be fighting scenes with Beerus even though we saw them in the movie? Man I would've loved to see what potential Goten has, at his age already super saiyan...If only he would train like Goku used to... But yeah Chi-Chi forcing him to study... I'd love to see Vegeta surpassing Goku at some point but of course in the end Goku again surpasses Vegeta. Won't rate because it doesn't make sense to rate it after 1 episode. At least after one arc finishes, then I'll rate it. |

Second arc will be Resurrection F and from there on we're off to new stuff. No word on how long these arcs will be though. Oh this is awesome. | OMG! I loved it! Comedy was on point! It was cool how Beerus was able to destroy the planet in half with just a tap lol Majin Buu interrupting the press conference.. haha Also if everyone forgot about Majin Buu why would he be getting world peace prize for beating him? lol And ZOMG! I'm used to FUNimation dub and Fat Buu has the cutest voice.. here he is so scary! Nice of Videl to be so polite about getting a bottle of water as a wedding gift xD And the ending with Roshi was percfect! Loved it! And shiiii~ Chi-Chi doesn't care if Goku isn't around a lot anymore now that she has money... WOW! |
| ChiChi is absolutely the strongest person in the universe. If I could sum up this episode in one word, it would be: nostalgic. I'm not sure what to expect - but regardless, I am sure it will be enjoyable. :) |
| What a good start. Animation is awesome, improved quality but still with that old DB vibe. So glad to have this series back |
