The only acceptable thing is acknowledgement and that I am cool with when Kirito hugs Suguha and realizes his mistakes. But yeah no you don't say to someone in that state SORRY! You hug them and comfort them all the time. | So Kirito ended up getting back up from two tribes. I laughed when he caught her from the sky. skudoops said: Everything is so so convenient and cheesy and the dialogue when the cavalry ran in doesn't even make sense unless HorribleSubs got it wrong. Lol the dude blowing himself up was hilarious as hell to, obviously it wasn't supposed to come off as funny but it was so random I thought and oh lord then the Deus Ex Machina moment just wow! Also do those dragons have flying limits as well? I'm surprised no one used one to fly to the top haha. Man I thought the show was just below average before but damn ever since the switch to ALO it just kept getting progressively worse. +1 |

| This episode was great better than last week. I think the Sugu and Kirito fight was kinda cheese but I guess the whole thing was about them bonding together. And the final push in the second half was amazing with the dragons and fairies the BGM was pretty epic too. |

| Well its great episode and i enjoyed it greatly but i cant help but to think that this season is kinda messed up. Asuna and Kirito were main characters in SAO but now Asuna is worse than Recon cameo. Recon had roughly same amount of screen time and he actually did something half decent lol. All Asuna did was gave us a bit of tentacle rape fan service tease and dropped the keycard. Seriously, i hope she will be fully in the next 2 episodes. And im sure i dont need to mention the pacing of this whole season two is way off. Im sure everyone wants to see kirito fight and get asuna back but all we got episode after episode was him exploring this new game with his sister, having fun here and there occasionally. As a viewer, i have fun when Kirito is hacking away enemies not when hes acting all mister nice guy in front of a load of anime girls. But please dont get the wrong idea, this is still one of my favourite anime. I watch episode 2, 9 and 13/14 quite often. |
| Amazing episode, one of the best yet. Quickly settled the relationship between Kirigaya and Suguha, but it was good enough for me (they just set it aside for now, I guess). I also thought Kirito had not some, but a lot of epic moments. One was especially great, the "Long Blade Starburst Piercing" (Yumekichi11), that was so cool. I also thought he was going to use Leafa's sword and his dual-sword skills but I guess not. Even so, this episode was so fantastic, probably the most epic episode so far. What would he do without having saved Yui's soul from SAO? He would have never made it through the door. Luckily she was there and they finally reach the upper part of the World Tree. I am so anxious and excited to see the moment when Kirito and Asuna meet again. I'm also going to cry on the inside when this series finishes, which is unfortunately going to be soon. But, I believe there will be a season two, for GGO and whatever else. 5/5. |

| Cheesy? Predictable? Sure. I was sort of wondering where the hell the Cu Sith and Sylphs were after Kirito gave them all that money. I thought it was a little stupid they just showed up at JUST the right moment like Gandalf's support army style from The Two Towers. However, despite that, I thought it was a pretty decent episode and for as awkward and poorly written the whole sequence between Kazuto and Suguha has been, they seemed to make for a relatively decent rebound. Now it's down to crunch time for SAO. I'm PRAYING that this sequence hasn't been nearly as bad as the ALO arc has been so far but I'm not really sure. I'm hesitant going into the last two episodes but still optimistic at the same time. Despite all the flaws this anime has had so far, it still has the potential to finish strong (unless a LN reader has some really bad news for me...) |
| Whelp, first post in a discussion, yay~ So let me start by saying, I thought the episode was pretty good. Not perfect, but pretty good. A lot of people seem to be negative towards the Kirito vs Lyfa (Leefa?) duel. I felt that the mood actually went pretty well considering the context of the fight. Neither one really wanted to be fighting each other, and so the battle wasn't some action packed, balls to the wall fight. They both drop their weapons at the end because they believe the other deserves to hit them, resulting in the hug instead :p I will agree, sorry Recon, self-destructing was pretty pointless. It did buy time for the cavalry to arrive, but I think he was just trying a little too hard to impress Lyfa. People also seemed to dislike the fact the cavalry "came out of nowhere", but was it really that surprising? I've been expecting them to show up since last episode, since they said themselves that they wanted to help. RockerXD said: Hirouey said: If people like the LN so much, stop watching the anime. But I kind of agree that seeing so many "LN IZ BETAR HERPDERP" gets old. I haven't gotten too far in the LN to really comment on which I like better, but seeing as this is a discussion of the anime and not a comparison discussion to the light novel, I can comment on that elsewhere ^^ |
| Great episode. The fighting scene between Lyfa and Kirito was pretty good. The ending of the fight, where they danced in the air, was best. The scene of the two swords crossing each other was beautiful, as we get to see the world tree and the city. That's going to be my new wallpaper. (Thanks to Yume for the picture). However, it was too rushed, imo. Recon confessing was kind of stupid too. Taking advantage of the girl's weakened state is pure unmanly. The fight against the guardians were kind of animated decently. However, when Kirito pierce through the heavens, it was bad. He never used it in the LN, as he just slashed his way through like he usually does. The episode was great but I felt it was fast paced. The Lyfa and Kirito fight should have been longer and the battle against the guardians as well. There are two episodes left and we're already up to the battle against the Man Zelda. If this continues on, corresponding with the LN, it would be like half the episode at the end would be a filler. Damn... I know this anime is pretty bad already but this is just getting worse. I'm kind of glad SAO dropped down a few spots. The anime isn't bad or good. It's ok. However, at times, it's just plain bad. |
| all i can say is that, sao still satisfies me, the 1 week of wait is still worth it. for those who say that the anime don't keep up/follow with the LN, that's business you know, the anime company would do anything just for business, remember you're just watching for free so we better thank them for animating such epic anime :D |

| I felt the Lyfa vs Kirito scene was actually already pretty bad already in the LN, but here animated it was blown up into a complete cheesy disaster. Okay damn I just had a pretty good laugh after reading the last few pages of this thread and I will admit that I had expectations of some hardcore lighting fast moves without the system assist or whatever runs the sword skills. Well I guess I just never saw it coming. For Recon, I believe it was similar to the LN with him confessing then him blowing himself with with that DARK magic. Yeah poor guy. Jesus, not a bad episode but A-1 was seriously all over the place at times. I guess they could've potentially done worse with the VFX so I'll give them some leeway. If they can pull off a 'wonderful' ending then that's all I need to think that this was not a complete waste of time. |

| That giga drill breaker went so wrong... I'm just watching sao because I hate dropping anime half watched. I'm not enjoying sao anymore, when alo popped up it tended to lost all its charm. I choose chuunibyou for the best anime this season, byes sao it was good while it lasted. |

| Why am I not feeling happy about this anime anymore? Kirito is pissing me off, and Sugu's friend zone is an eyesore. Plus, Kirito drilling through the defenses: WTF? This ain't Gurren Lagann! Suguha vs. Kirito fight was lame. And too perfect. Maybe that's it. This anime is working out too perfectly. I grabbed my hair in anger at how everything just seemed to work out right at the nick of time. I might be ranting about nothing, but SAO is getting annoying. |

| I'm glad progress has finally be made, but this was so lame and had a lot of cliché moments. Recon was stupid from the beginning and his death was lame.
