Bait moar.

Experience helps in no way in an art that controls others via your own willpower. You get distracted - they turn against you. Use common sense.
That's how physics work. Rope's tie point counteracts gravitational pull.
Yeah no. get longer attention span he shot the ropes hoping the bridge would crumble under its own weight. It did nothing. Then Amira stomped her foot breaking the bridge below them.

Necromancers control zombies by infusing their will into them. When she decided to protect her parents despite that, her will wavered, and the control she had over them waned long enough for the mother zombie to bite her.

Motarack said:

It's called tension & momentum. When a rope/line with something (in this case, Favaro) is set lose, the thing (Again, Favaro) drops until the line is pulled. Of course, the energy from the momentum of his fall doesn't suddenly disappear, and because he still tied to the wall and the fall wasn't perfectly "down in a straight line," the energy manifests it as motion in the direction he leans.

I suggest you try it sometime with a rock & piece of string.

Motarack said:

He's not the one who breaks the bridge planks. The bridge completely stops moving after sagging a bit - showing Favaro's shots did little to ruin the bridge. Amira is the one who notices Favaro was being useless again and uses her strength to break the boards underneath them.

Seriously, are you watching the show?

Thanks for explaining. I didnt see Amira breaking the boards, now I feel like an idiot.

Actually I know the physics related to the rope but i thought the length he travelled was too much. Maybe its because I hate Favaro.

And for 200 years she should at least had prepared something for such a situation, I mean she lost both her parents and her book.

I shouldn't be happy about this since it's MAL, but I'm glad the ranking for SNB is climbing higher each week, heh. I think the first week it was in the 800s, the second week in the 700s and now it's in the 600s. You go, SNB.

Really like this series though really shaking my head at the design of those evil angel characters and the cutesie evil dogs or whatever, ugh, why. Hope they don't ruin this show.

She is one of the major recurring characters from the game. Very interested if she will play a bigger role, her personality is pretty f'd up, so could be interesting.

Dang that was freaking awesome with Rita glad she wasn't killed off I really like her...also CERBERUS YISSSSSSS the reason I watch this show

And in 9 pages you're the only one (as far as I know) that noticed her.

I hoped for a bit more familiar characters, but most are brand new ones? Even though there are more than enough creatures from RoB that can fill in those roles.
I just hope there will be some familiar characters like Iris, Vania, Hannah, Feena, Anne, Orchis or even Dark Angel Olivia or Altaia.

Still this series surprised me to be way better so far than I had anticipated.

Plus it's equally as nonsensical to write it off because her control wavered because she tried to protect them. That single chat with Kaiser turned her 200 year-held philosophy on it's head to the point where she can't even properly control her minions?

Good thing nobody did that.

It's not the talk with Kaiser that made her control waver, it's the fact that Kaiser was helped and brought to his senses before he could be added to the horde. Because Kaiser - unlike any of her other victims - actually got close enough to strike at the one reason she stuck around there for 200 years in the first place.

It had never happened before. She always controlled her victims with the fog before now, and never expected a victim on the verge of defeat to be saved.

The fact that this is even a nitpick in the first place shows the quality of this show. (I actually think this may be the first nitpick to do with the story I've seen yet.)

I felt this episode was a little... off. Entertaining no doubt, but off.

First part that bugged me was the cutesy "watch dog" girl and her fluffy spherical-headed companions who add a little "wan! (ruff!)" at the end of every sentence. Moe/cutesy doesn't really fit the tone they set up for this series in the first two episodes. You don't need to cater to the likes of EVERY demographic; this show does just fine without it. In fact, it does better. Hamsa the duck, while also a talking animal companion, is nowhere near in the same vein as the spherical-headed dog things.

Second, I get that they're on a long journey to Helheim so things are bound to happen on the way, but if the show continues with vignettes (like in this episode) that aren't critical to the story, it's going to feel like a waste of time, mainly because we only have 13(?) episodes to get into the nitty-gritty. To me, at least, this episode came off as an excuse to give Kaiser a loli traveling companion (Rita). Don't get me wrong the story itself wasn't bad by any means, and loli traveling companions are great and all, but Rita's introduction as a supporting character came off as a bit lazy (I can only assume we'll see more of her).

Right now, all the major players in this story are just doing their own thing, conveniently all giving exposition about the God Key at the same time. It's one way to show the audience to show that all these competing parties are interconnected, but not the most interesting way. Edit: Despite how I may sound, this is really only a small complaint because it's still early on. I fully understand that the major confrontations aren't meant to happen just yet.

That being said, this is only one episode; episode 3 at that. I'm just hoping this doesn't become a mishmash tangential vignettes, interjected moe, and all the major players NOT interacting with each until the last couple episodes where the actual plot ramps up.

Cerberus is a character drawn directly from the card game. It's not like they asspulled her or something, but I can understand why you don't like her. Plus, I'm willing to bet she is going to have a bestial form.

Great episode.

If that OP doesn't get you pumped, I don't know what will.

Love the dark atmosphere of this episode

Well looks like we got ourselves a cute zombie loli joining Kaiser! This should be interesting!

The visuals in this anime are absolutely breathtaking.

I noticed that the tone of this episode was a bit more serious than the first two episodes. I am definitely alright with that!

For a mobile game to anime adaptation, this is a fucking miracle.

This show gives me hella Samurai Champloo vibes, though. What with the whole big haired over the top MC, the dark haired serious guy he bickers and duels with, and the girl with an end goal that takes them on a journey.
For sure. When I began watching this anime, the first thing I thought of was Samurai Champloo. Favaro definitely gives me Mugen vibes too.

Amira is the God Key itself. Now that changes most things.
A Necromancer who's most likely be more than 200 years old. A little girl even. I don't know how Kaisar did it, but she came back. Also, she has her conscience back.
Pretty weird, yet interesting episode.

For those wondering how Rita came back, this may not be an answer, but it's a fun little read - This is "Bahamut Genesis theater" which can be read on the phone game:

Bahamut said:

Kaisar: We've been walking so long. Why don't we have a bite?
Rita: Are you talking to me?
Kaisar: Who else is here?
Rita: ...Thank you for caring about me. By the way, what will you treat me, who have became a zombie now?
Kaisar: S,so, you eat only raw meat?
Rita: It's wrong to think that all the zombies eat only raw meats.
Kaisar: !? then what do you eat?
Rita: What do you think?
Kaisar: Since it's not raw meat, you don't say, it's vegetables?
Rita: I'm surprised that your answer is correct.
Kaisar: R, really vegetables? What the heck?
Rita: After all, your common sense has no meaning.
Kaisar: Y,yeah. It's incredible that we can communicate with each other even after you became a zombie.
Rita: It's a lie.
Kaisar: Eh?
Rita: Don't you think it's wrong for zombies to eat vegetables? You are really simple minded. It's fun to tease you.
Kaisar: Shit...What a talkative dead.
Rita: It's because you didn't cut my head off.
Kaisar: You speak much more than when you were alive.
Rita: I don't know. But...no, nothing.
Kaisar: Fuh.
Kaisar: You gross me out.
Rita: Then, what on the earth do you eat?

I started watching this because of the Amira's gif and her butt and stayed because of the great production!

It's true that the story isn't one bit original, far from it, but all the characters are so vivid!
How many years since I watched an anime that isn't made with all that otaku's "personalities"?
Character design, comedy, animation... I'm so captivated!

Well, we have this loli, but I will overlook it for now.

It was really more her evil dog companions than Cerberus herself, and I understand it's not an ass-pull. And since it's from the source material, I guess I should make clear that it's a problem I have with the source material, not the adaptation. I do very much like the sound of a bestial form though; I fully expect my current opinion to be turned on itself if she actually turns out to be a bad ass (no spoilers please!)

A zombie loli joining in the adventure with Kaisar.

Long have I waited to see something like this. I've been wanting to watch Soul Eater and D.Gray-man specifically to get something similar, but unfortunately, according to my studies, they don't make the cut halfway through.

But yeah I wish some familiar characters would make an appearance and can't wait for Rita's card in game I hope it's for the demon realm since kaisar and favaro card where for humans .

Fair enough. It just looked like that since she had gotten shot down, was struggling to get up, and he was drawing his sword right above her.

However, there's probably a big fight between them that we didn't get to see, maybe they'll show it later in the series.

I am no expert on card games or stuff but I think what happened here is that the necromancy book is the thing that makes all the undead, and since the book was destroyed all the undead 'disappear'. Her becoming a zombie is impossible since zombies are not supposed to exist with out the necromancy in effect and so shes in a state of half living and half dying like the cat in the box experiment.

I am pretty sure there is a fantasy-lore name for things like this, just forgot what it is.

Everyone has been fleshed out, now it's Favoro's turn. He's kind of character who takes action and thinks later, he also doesn't get sentimental over things. I like him. Dude got so much potential and a proper development will make him perfect.

The plot is something new to me which makes the series interesting. Let's see how things will be wrapped up just in 12 episodes.

Hold on a minute... Was the story of the "peaceful village that's really a zombie hellhole" taken from an old legend or something? Because I've seen the exact same scenario in another work before:

The Super Nintendo RPG "Terranigma."

In that game, there is a part where you travel through a barren desert wasteland and pass out from exhaustion. When you awaken, you're in a small village named Louran hidden deep in the desert. A girl named Meilin. You can shop around in the town and buy some nice equipment, then you need to go the inn and go to sleep.

When you wake up, the city is in total ruins and your character's companion screams that the smell of death is everywhere. Everyone you talked to is a zombie enemy now. This was a tough-ass dungeon when I played the game. Anyway, at the end of the dungeon, you confront Meilin and find out she's an illusionist who was traumatized when her village was destroyed years ago, so she conjured up the illusion that Louran was all well and good and the people were just fine. You have to convince her to let go of the past, so then she dispels the illusions and the zombies disappear.
