| I was pleasantly surprised by this episode. The opening scene of course was an overdone but well-executed way to garner interest and suspense for whatever happens next. I do feel a slightly darker undertone to this new series, though whether it was exclusive or not to only the first episode remains to be seen. I'm actually genuinely interested in what happens next, which is more than I can say for several other parts of FT, so that's good. The scene with the Dragon spirit was great; the spirit was actually genuinely amusing and the information the audience learns in extremely intriguing. It's good to see Mashima is consistent with occasionally getting back to the main plot about dragons that's been playing out in the background since the beginning. If there was one thing that irritated me, it was that Zeref once again is the source of all the problems, once again. I really liked the idea that Dragon Slayers become dragons themselves if they overuse their powers and that a Dragon Slayer was responsible for the mass destruction of most dragon, because those plot points would certainly make the whole concept of Dragon Slayers more compelling and provide some potentially good drama down the line. It was not to be, though, since it was revealed directly after that the Dragon Slayer likely transformed into a Dragon due to Zeref's interference, which simplifies the conflict and removes a lot of potential themes and significant character arcs and drama. Well, aside from that one thing I really enjoyed this episode and hope that FT keeps it up. The original series had so much potential that was sadly mostly wasted, despite its occasional strong moments. I really want to like FT more, and I'm hoping this new series will allow me to do that. |

| FT is BACK! I missed this series a lot :`) I thought the animation was way better than in the previous series and the character design is worlds better. The OST is still glorious. | it's just the first episode and i get hooked.. let's see.. sabertooth guild's master is so tough and unforgivable as ever when it comes to the reputation of his guild (what a bastard), i don't know what exactly happened to him, but i don't think he was defeated of course .. :/ and the same goes to that poor cat :( i really cried though i know that somehow he didn't die ( i hope) So Acnologia was a human and Zeref somehow turned him into a dragon ? why? the end of the episode was Natsu fighting countless dragons, it's like that war that happened 400 years ago :/ it's like the went back to the past.. and Natsu seemed to be losing the fight.. of course he was :/ he can't even fight a dragon, how he would fight all of those dragons ? that's so much like him! I liked the opening, i still listing to it :) I'm addicted :) the ending was great as well i liked the new animation and the new styles.. 5/5 |

| Continued, although since I already know what's gonna happen from reading the manga, I'm not really as hyped up as other people for the anime's return. On a side note.... What's with the ranking??? Although I enjoy FT, it doesn't really deserve to go anywhere near the Top 100. |

| Let me just say for everyone going on about how Fairy Tail is #20 in popularity and has a score of over 8.9, remember that this is exactly what happened when Attack on Titan's first episode aired. For the longest time it was at #9 with a huge score, and it still is even today. |

Most people actually tend to wait a while before actually giving it a rating and those that did only number one to two thousand. The previous FT had over 100000 votes before the ranks stabilized. |

| FT is BACK! Finally. So talking about the art,maybe it's just me but Lucy & Erza look ver strange (i only liked her design in the ED).I think they both should have stayed with the normal art. Sabertooth master is a bastard,i hope Sting killed him. Natsu <3 Lucy omg amazing.Natsu saving Lucy :D And beating dragons.woooooooow Go Natsu defeat them all <3 So we still don't know who is that girl under the hoodie... NaLu ending <3 finally,i hope they will be a couple in this season. Can't wait for next episode. |

Is it just me or they didn't censure when Sabertooth master was killed? *-* For the first time, I've seen blood in Fairy Tail =) Zirconis perverted as always ahahah Zirconis: I've nothing to say to the humans!
