I lol'd.

Nice joke, OP, nice joke.

The sad thing is, that he is actually serious.

OP, GTFO and go cry at a real anime, like K-ON or something.

You like Fairy Tail.... you arent allowed to judge someone else.
we all have different opinions...get over it

Cry.
Then I tend not to watch anything else (anime-wise) for the rest of that day. Marinate in the sadness.

If it's really that sad, I'll rub my eyes once and go do something else that I need to do.

I cry more @ train wrecks than sad anime >.>

Just watch something epic afterward, such as marathoning My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic or Power Rangers. I've had the characters of sad stuff fade from my mind within days of watching something uplifting afterwards. For example, after I was forced to witness The War Horse, I rewatched Puss in Boots (2011) and totally forgot War Horse's cast.

Watch something more light hearted and funny. Or just something that's generally exciting. After finishing Clannad(well I wasn't sad at the end, cause the ending was garbage) I got onto Kuroko no Basket, a good change of pace!

Well I haven't seen a really sad anime yet so I dunno.
Yoshii Kiria took over as leader of Fairytale and rebuilt it and became one of Tsukunes formidable enemies but let's save that story for another time

Hehe, let me introduce him to you again, kid. This is Shuzen Issa (who is MIA during the final battle), who will become your 'trainer' starting today. You still have much to go if you want to become the headmaster.

Like the two souls have started to become one.

A lot of people actually search for more sad and depress anime to watch, including me. But what I found was only not-so-sad-but everybody-claimed-it-very-sad romance.
When people asked 'why are you so quiet?',
just answer 'why are you not?'

Ditto. Then I get mad and swear I'll never watch a sad anime again. But then I give up and watch some more. And it happens all over again. Damn cycle.

Re-watch a series that made me laugh hard. Or watch another series with a different genre. I watched Clannad: AS, got sad. Watched Higurashi, got creeped out lmao.

Usuallly doesn't bother me unless I thought it was unnecessary, provided zero attachment with the characters, or poorly executed. Just finished Fate/Zero and...damn. Depressing. lol

Wouldn't it make sense to then watch a really happy anime afterwards? Perhaps a light-hearted romcom, harem or SOL. Something along those lines. Not a hard question :S

I usually take a break from anime and come back watching an ecchi anime before getting back to something serious. I watched 3 sad anime in a row(one was After story for sure) and well people at school were asking me what was wrong with my face. :P

I just watched Mnemosyne, Kurozuka, and Monster in a row so I will be taking another break.

If it's really sad, and I'm down, then I'll go outside and take a walk. I did that many times when I watched Welcome to the NHK.

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

What did I do after Violet Evergarden? contemplate life

What did I do after Clannad: Afterstory? contemplate life

What did I do after Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms? I actually went to bed but then I rewatched it, then I had time to contemplate life afterwards

And no these aren't all masterpieces because they made me cry and that's all to it, just so happens that they told an amazing story while also making me cry
