| I really enjoyed the past few episodes they where all so good really nice story to hear and we finally know about Naruto's parent's past and there decision. It was really touching to watch and it was amazing. Naruto would have been in good care with his parents and he could have learned allot from them. |

| I was looking forward to seeing this bit animated and it didn't disappoint. Ahhh...what a flashback should be. Telling new backstory, rather than just recapping episodes from 3 months back! It was cool to see both Minato and Hiruzen in action too! |

| wow this episode was amazing! we finally find out what happened to naruto's parents! i've always wondered about that.. all those kids should be ashamed for teasing him about not having parents, not having anyone who would love him and care for him -.-" and naturally i had watery eyes during this one >.< |

| Dafaq? Who is this person who disliked this episode? That person should be exiled from here!!! This one was really great. The whole meaning of Naruto was in it. Parents love, continuation of parents dreams onto a child, stay away from Jiraiya-sensei. :D Worth every minute I watched. Now I'm glad I forgot to watch episodes since filers ended. I watched it all in one go. :D Minato vs "Madara" fight was really great. And the way he beat him. This just showed the effort mangaka made in this part. Plus I skipped this part while reading manga and began somewhere in The Fourth Great War. Now I'm glad I've done it!!! And I'm gonna still enjoy later episodes!!! :D OSU!!! |
| It is rare that I cry over any anime but this episode was just that good! Utterly sad when Naruto's parents were saying their final words to him. Minato & Kushina both sacrificed themselves to save the village but more importantly they wanted to give Naruto the means to protect both himself and the village in the future. I think this episode had one of the best back stories I've ever seen on any anime. 5/5. |

| I thought I would manage but the part where Kushina started telling Naruto to not be pick and eat lots of vegetables was too much. And the part about Jiraiya was such a nice touch. Such a beautiful episode. T.T |
| ... Really, guys? I cry during EVERYTHING and I couldn't give a shit during this episode. I did accidentally watch it before 248 (so it skipped all the cool fights and went to the emotional fallout, which i don't care about because I HATE Naruto's folks), but it still would have gone overlong even if it'd been in the right order. Some cool moments but overall I was most displeased with this entire sequence of episodes, lifted straight from the manga or not. *holds up umbrella to fend off the dung that will no doubt get flung at him for having a different opinion* |
| Naruto's parents are hands-down the most best characters this series has, and they've BEEN the best since they were introduced. It's so sad looking at all the fan-art of Naruto and them all happy D:, I just wish they were alive so that kind of stuff could've been real. |

| Damn! I'm so moved that ... Nakitai!! T_T Since Code Geass's special nothing has made me feel this moved till now. I guess if anyone wants to get a feeling for characters, they'll have to come to Naruto, especially when someone dies. Absolutely, 5/5! Hell, I might actually re-watch this 2-3 times till I'm satisfied with this mixture of epicness and emotional special. This time, I might actually cry ... BEST two episodes EVER!! (On a side note: What the hell? Next ep seems like a 80-95% filler to me with so little like 5%-20% original material -.-") Anyways, I'm really glad that those two episodes aired at the same time!! It would have been the nastiest cliffhanger ever, if it were to happen. I guess everyone here agrees with me, right? xD Jaa~ |

| Damn Naruto is inconsistent as a anime. Sometimes during half year filler or otherwise boring story arc I wonder why I really keep up with this anime. Then you get episodes like these that make it totally worth it. Really amazing double episode. Made me shed many manly tears. Is is just me or are these ''past'' episodes always almost the best episodes in Naruto (Kakashi, Itachi, this...etc)? |

| It sure WAS an awesome special but still... you'd think they would be a little bit better prepared for a kyuubi attack, I mean even without madara the seal on kushina could have still broken during her birthgiving. When kyuubi attacked Konoha they didn't have that fast reaction time imo ^^ |

| Great Episode I was always wondering what went down with the Fourth Hokage and he was amazing. I also got something from the episode it seemed like the Fourth Hokage could have lived but if he did Naruto would have never have gotten to talk to his mother. |
