| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This ep was decent. Naruto cut his leaf in half finally, and got some help from Asuma-sensei. And apparently Asuma-sensei is the 3rd's son. Looks like we'll be getting into the mission story when the next ep airs in 2 weeks. (I still love the OP) |

| well....it looks like the fillers wont be so far off from the manga either. they might carry them side by side and work into the manga again. but then again they may put the manga on hold after this episode and just go filler happy. now is it better to wait two weeks for a one hour special or just watch regularlly? i hate waiting. [second post :P] |

| I really like how they're starting this filler arc by focusing on the technical aspects of Naruto's training, then moving into the story. They should have followed this formula back in the original series, then those 80-ish episodes of filler crap might have been halfway decent. |

| This episode was pretty funny, and I especially love the fact that they don't stray completely from the actual plot ^^ I'd rather not see any more fillers, since the manga plot is already so much ahead from the anime -___- But oh well. I just hope they're not boring. |

| exept of the fillers the episode was so KAWAIIIIIIIIIIIII. I love Asuma and the thing with Kurenai is even sweeter X3 And then Yamato and Kakashi, the way they talk to eah other is so hilarious, omg I love it X3 |

| Well, it looks like I'm the only one who REALLY hates the new OP. Oh, bother... I make it force of habit not to read the manga past the show, but I don't really mind even if it is filler. The show's just flowing better right now, with none of those silly flashbacks or five minutes of silent expression shots. Plus, everyone loves training montages. If this is what their filler's going to be like this, I'd take 3 or 4 filler arcs over the crap that they were pulling earlier. I always wondered how Asuma was connected to the Third (I remember hearing his name was Saratoubi somewhere else). You can really see the resemblance, though. |

It logically doesn't make sense for Naruto to go when he is in desperate need of training. *sigh* Looks like they haven't learned that we don't always need Naruto in the show. Oh well. | ok episode. asuma is really intesresting, hope to see more of him =33 2 weeks for the special... ugh, there is too much waiting for this series. I hope this filler wont be slow paced or too long. |

This part in the manga took so long to cover and it got old fast. So I think the fillers where placed in a good spot. Asuma as the 3rds Son, wow didn't see that coming at all. |

| I know that for a long time that Asuma is one of the Sarutobi. I think I've seen it in wiki, his last name is Sarutobi, that's why I'm really surprised, that the 3rd's last name is also Sarutobi. That's when I caught that they're related. YEY! FOR FILLERS! Looks like the fillers are interesting. Hahaha! Not just a bunch of mission filler. XD Yatta! |

| I think the episodes are becoming pretty decent. At least they seem like they're trying to get (and stay) to the main storyline. A couple episodes before this, when we saw Sasuke it was just a lot of howling wind and staring. Just staring. Anyway, Naruto is finally making progress power-wise, so I can't wait for that, and I love the opening!! |

| Finally we've ended the seemingly eternal flashback-period. I can go back to enjoying and being excited over each episode, instead of having to skip some. Yes! :D And I know this is kind of late, but i just have to say: Everyone(especially Nauto) looks a LOT better with their leisure clothes(please forgive my english if this is the wrong term, I just used Google-translate...) |

| this ep wasn't too bad, love that new wind elemental thing Naruto is working on, feels like he'll be pretty bad ass once he completes it o and fillers will end at ep 70 and the main story will continue at 71 for those that want to skip thru this |

I don't understand what happened to this episode's Art, but the story goes well, and we get to see Team 10 after a while, as well as the Asuma-Kurenai couple. I don't know if the Anime team noticed but the way they describe the character Asuma reminds me of his impending death. Should they hide it instead of making it so obvious?  |
