Looks like Fushi is trying to open the eyes to everyone about this world he's in.

I didn't think he'd go so far to prove a point but yeah, he's got a vision and goal. I'm actually impressed that he set such high expectations for himself here. Not going to lie, I thought some of the cinematic scenes this episode looked like a movie especially the underwater segments.

The last 3 episodes have just progressively got better and better, this arc has been amazing so far and with the new revelations about the Nokkers’ abilities in present day, I feel like this journey to find the true meaning of ‘love’ is in a way, Fushi’s final exam. To ‘love’ is to be human, and the only way to discern the difference between the modern Nokkers and humans, is to understand what it means to be human. Fushi is like 90 percent there himself, but he’s still lacking a little and this should be the impetus he needs to get over that hump.

Tonari not beating around the bush and being completely honest about not liking Mizuha is so real lmao. It’s not even just about Mizuha’s ancestors, Tonari is just an excellent judge of character and peeps Mizuha has serious mental issues. Fushi is nice, but it gets to a point. Glad Tonari’s there to keep him grounded.

So Black has a new form in present day and himself is learning what it means to be human. Ironic. Like I said, I’m fairly certain this is Fushi’s final exam of sorts and Yuki being the one to pick up on it of all people is hilarious. Bro still almost told EVERYONE after Fushi directly told him not to say a word lol.

The concept of Fushi cycling through different animals to find out what ‘love’ is because his senses change depending on the form he’s is dope. The egg laying scene is actually really important because 1: it’s the first time we’ve seen Fushi cry despite all the pain he’s experienced and 2: childbirth truly is the purest form of love. Nothing can truly compare to a mother’s love for her child, which makes the Mizuha situation with her mom that much more relevant.

“I can teach you about love” from the person who stabbed their mother to death a couple episodes ago mind you 😭 I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy. Fushi instantly rejecting her had me rolling, but of course she starts the waterworks and gets him feeling bad enough to agree. Generational gaslighter. If only Tonari had been there to bail out Fushi lmao. Another great episode. Can’t wait to see where this goes next

Black thing making Fushi into his successor and wanting to become human was expected. But him just giving up on nokkers wasn't. I wonder what's the real reason.
Eggs scene was... weird?

fushi the kame spitting straight bars underwater. also, Mizuha needs to stop that 1% actress bs she's doing, it's getting on my nerves how unbelieveably hard she's trying to have fushi to herself, not even hayase tried this much to bag the guy. and also i don't think black one folded to the nokkers, it's just that they're doing harmless stuff now, like possessing dead people, not actively killing everyone just to get back on fushi. somehow, i think their end goal is what mizuha is trying to do, consume fushi from the inside and not trying to get his memories by killing his past experiences, like that one war he had with them, when they proved to be not strong enough to fight with him head on, so the most common response is to be sly about it.

First that child nokker jumpscare and than that Bon reaction face jumpscare! Wasnt ready!

Tonari is still best girl. I also think understanding that some people can not and will not get along is something Fushi needs to learn.

Massive reveal!
So Fushi got his abilities from Black One only by B1 giving up his owm? Did Black One try to turn Fushi into his replacement?

Fushi can lay eggs?! So he can (get preggers) reproduce!

Mizuha is cute but I genuinely cant trust anything she says or does to be honest, 10/10, well written, it keeps me invested.
God she has him wrapped around her finger, but honestly I dont know what she even wants for herself. I mean we saw it with the other girl and even her mom, she wanted a perfect best friend because she thought she needed it for her "role". Maybe she only wants Fushi because immortal almost all powerfull boyfriend cant be more perfect?
Ah this story is genuinely way more interesting than I expected!

I've my own interpretation but I want everyone to have their own interpretation too. If someone think Nokker is a virus that evolve to be less fatal so that it can live longer with human, it's fine. If someone think Nokker is an AI that pass Turing test and replacing human workforce, it's fine. This anime has enough freedom so that everyone can have their own answer.

Each episode always amaze me in more than one way. If it has more budget it could compete with other anime that play with the concept of extra long life like Frieren, but it's already very good as it is.

The final test for Fushi is coming... can he graduate...

Seeing Fushi turn into a turtle, rap under water, return to land, and lay eggs while crying is the most bizarre thing I have ever seen in my entire life. I need to go out for a walk after this.

Now this is terrifying. Nokkers have evolved and are trying to coexist with people but I can't believe that everyone of those nokkers would just quietly spend their lives without creating troubles.

Mister Black turned into a kid and wants to die as a human.. I guess he always wanted to do this after relinquishing his position and leaving Fushi to handle things lol

Didn't expect Fushi to become a mama Turtle that can lay eggs 🀣😭😭

I just can't seem to hate Mizuha. I hope she stays sane and proves that she's different from all the Hayase descendants.

I'm really relieved the boy wasn't an enemy. The nokkers are already a bad enough antagonist. So those seemingly immortal people are nokkers, huh? That makes sense, and it's a relief, since they don't have other powers. Though them becoming really small and infecting people like that is bad news. I wonder how many of those are around?

Wasn't expecting the birth scene. Quite interesting implications for Fushi.

Part of me is not surprised Kuro-kun became a human, but the timing is strange. His explanation doesn't quite make sense. But I supposed he trusts Fushi to carry on without him now.

...ok, let's sum up the season so far:
ep 1: we're back, the world is at peace
ep 2: companion renuion and a strange girl
ep 3: high school drama, first killing, everything goes to shit
ep 4: toxic girl and a new mystery behind resurrection
ep 5: nokkers are back, high schoo life somehow
ep 6: black thing is human, nokkers are like microplastics, Fushi had turtle sex, I WANT TO KNOW WHAT LOVE IS

This has been a really strange development from a season I didn't even expect to come out. I'm in.

Mizuha, I don't know, man, there's just something about her that irks me, and I can't seem to put my finger on it, especially the way she seems to have Fushi wrapped around her fingers. Either way, Fushi giving birth, eh? So many implications. I wonder, though, he's just going to leave the baby turtle there, or something? I don't know.

So the Nokkers are basically like microplastic, lol. Evolution is quite something else. But at least they aren't indiscriminately killing like they used to. I also don't know if I am remembering wrong, but what happened to the other people that Fushi had met, like Rean? Gugu hasn't mentioned her once.
Graduated High School in May of 2022. Summer vacation has finally arrived. I have once again regained the power of a new anime fan, being able to watch multiple anime episodes in a day. Time to binge-watch every single anime I can into the night until college arrives. SADGE. SUPER SADGE... College has begun as of Monday, August 30, 2022, so you won't be seeing me much around these parks. See you on weekends, I guess... School me is back. Sigh! I'll at least try for one anime a day with all this course load.

I'm struggling. It's becoming hard to find a reason to watch this every week.

Chances are the Nokkers have been building an army they don't think Fushi can or would be willing to defeat while waiting for him to awaken.

Oh God... look who's going to teach love to Mama Fushi... 🀦‍♂️

Hayase was the first (forced) generation of symbiosis with the Nokkers, so her descendants may be responsible for the new resistance approach against the Fushi, "divide and conquer." They divided so much that they became microscopic. Perhaps they aren't infecting all humans, but the humans they infected, they take over the body from the moment the person dies. This explains, for example, in a previous episode, the man who tried to Alt+F4 his life by jumping off the bridge, and walked away after crashing to the ground. Probably his soul disembodied and the N virus took control of the ship. Just like what happened with Izumi, just like what happened with the little devil Mimori... and this gives me suspicions about more characters...

So, Fushi's still fighting with the idea of letting his friends go one day. And what is love. Baby don't hurt me.

Lol anyway, that "little girl" seemed fully aware of what she's doing, and in the next episode it seems like there's going to be a fight scene. That's interesting. Her brother-in-law seemed kinda sus tho.

Why does the Black One want to become a human? What's his goal here? In fact, what did he even want to do with Fushi in the first place? It's so mysterious. I hope we'll get answers in this season.

Ain't no freaking way. Fushi laid eggs?! I'm sure he'll be an excellent turtle mom. Reminds me of Ben with Big Chill from that one episode from Alien Force. The cherry on top is that Mizuha found out. That scene was great.

But I still can't get the read on this girl. Is she good or is she bad like her ancestors? Why is she still so attracted to Fushi even tho it has been so many generations? I'm kinda with Tonari on this one for now.

I cannot stand Mizuha! She is so manipulative and mentally not OK. Also I wish someone would ask why she killed her mother, that seems like a very big question to ask and may help resolve some of the Nokker mystery. Even after everyone helping her she just uggg I really hope Fushi finding out about love doesn't involve him falling for her.

It was an ok episode, nothing from this season has amazed me, but I'm not hating it either, so it's ok for now. So that Jesus guy wants to become a human, this is the part I'm interested in the most now. What is his goal? Did he always want to be a human, but he couldn't because God or the higher-ups or whatever didn't allow him to? Did he betray God so he could be human? Did he create Fushi for the sole reason of having him take over his role so he could be human?

I'm really interested in the development of that Jesus guy in becoming human. I hope whatever they are cooking with that story doesn't disappoint.

We got a lot of information this episode. Learning that the knockers are still around must be a real blow for Fushi, after all of his efforts for the past centuries. Mr. Black looks very cute now, he looks like he can become the protagonist of his own show.

AND THEN THAT TURTLE SCENE!!! I HAVE NO WORDS!!
So Fushi can reproduce now, and he didn't need any love for that.

I have such mixed emotions about Turtle-Fushi. On the one hand, more of turtle-fushi talking underwater. On the other, less of laying eggs, especially like that.

Btw, I doubt the Nokkers have really co-opted to live in peace. They're probably planning something long-term.

@Joey-XD19202 Presumably they have all passed on to the afterlife and can't be resurrected. He can recreate a body but if there is no soul to inhabit the body it just lays there in a vegetative state until it dies.

The whole nokker-situation would be less weird if that little girl hadn't stabbed herself and shown that creepy facial expression. Why? The black One said the nokker chose co-existence. But that girl didn't look friendly at all.

And I still don't get how Fushi could lay eggs as a turtle. Even if he copied a female turtle, that turtle just happened to be full of eggs? Eh.
