| The first Uma Musume spin-off in to ever shine on the small screen since P.A. Works's adaptation in Spring 2018, it's been 7 years to finally see someone different be the star of the same horse racing premise itself, based off mangaka Masafumi Sugiura and producer Junnosuke Itou's source material. CygamesPictures is back in full force as well. Alexandros's OP is such a good fit for the anime (considering they did Ao Ashi's 1st Cour OP as well back in Spring 2022). Oguri Cap's ED is rather fine... Instead of Special Week for the main series, Berno Light takes centerstage as narrator in Kasamatsu Tracen Academy alongside the other notable horse girls, though there's no need to mention that Oguri Cap is defo the main character of the spin-off. The eccentricity of Oguri Cap being the fast runner that she is, and a rather big eater that even the cafeteria chefs fear her big appetite, more less than Berno Light wanting to be friends with her. But the infighting between Berno Light and the bullying troublemaker trio of Rudy Lemono, Mini the Lady and Norn Ace, Oguri Cap attempts everyone to get along in the dorms, and this has been a dream for her since being taken care of by her mother. Oguri Cap having a rather good night's sleep having the storeroom all to herself, only for her to witness the eccentric coach of Kitahara Jones going on his own embarrassing parade, alongside other trainers to scout for potential horse girls (like Fujimasa March) for a start. Despite being under the bullying influence of the trio, Berno Light is worried for Oguri Cap, but the former shouldn't since the latter proved her capability from the start to convince Kitahara Jones wanting the ashen-haired horse girl to join his team being a potential star. What a blistering start to this split 2-cour show, it's going to be yet another Uma Musume levels of excitement and enjoyability once again. |

| Only had to survive a year without some Uma Musume on TV, but finally we are back... but not with the main series this time, but with a critically acclaimed spinoff manga this time around, in the hands of the people who kickstarted this franchise to begin with and thankfully not Kai for once. And yeah, after seeing Cygames go crazy in the movie and RTTP, expectations are pretty high. And yeah, right off the bat with that first little race we saw there, it looks so much better than Kai's... it's crazy. Though, for me at least, it's not hard to beat because I really just don't like them at all lol. Visuals aside though, to no one's surprise, we are in the same world, so yeah, it's expected that we have the same school setting as the main series. Obviously it's different characters to the one's that we're used to, but I hope they at least make a little cameo or something in an episode. Looks like our main character here is obviously going to be our girl Oguri, along with Light, who I already love because she reminds me of my favorite MC from the main series, Spe. I also do like Oguri a lot as well. I mean, she's already just so loveable... so please STOP this unnecessary bullying, cause even thought she enjoyed her night in the "luxury" storage room, she does NOT deserve this treatment. Actual losers here doing everything in their power to see her fail, I mean like bro... UNTYING HER SHOES??? .... Oh but don't worry, she showed them who's really boss still... because even with that setback SHE FUCKING KILLED IT AND BEAT THOSE LOSERS. Love to see it, already liked Ougri before that performance, but it really just set in stone for me. Already loving it more than the main series, gonna be a fun couple weeks, I can tell. Banger OP btw, as per usual with this franchise though. |

I've only watched the first season of the show so far. Does that mean I can watch it as a spin-off of the first season without any problem? I like the original manga, but I didn't start reading it from the start, so I wanted to make up for that with the anime.

| Haven’t watched the other *Uma Musume* series, but this one looks interesting! It’s all about racing, and the girls have horse-like attributes—those tails and ears are a nice touch. Oguri’s insanely fast—like, super fast. Even with a late start, she still finished the race in 51.1 seconds. Impressive! |

Every season focuses on a different horse girl, so you can watch it in just about any order.

| I’m already hooked. The vibe is totally different from the main Uma Musume series, but in a really refreshing way. It feels more grounded, a bit grittier, and honestly, I'm loving the focus on Oguri Cap’s underdog story. Even though it's still got that charm and heart from the original, this one’s clearly aiming for something a little deeper. The setting’s got more tension, and I’m curious to see how Oguri deals with all the challenges ahead, especially with how serious the racing world seems here. Also, the animation looks great so far! Some shots really hit hard emotionally. And if you're already familiar with the manga, it feels super satisfying to see those moments come to life. Can’t wait to see where this version of the Uma Musume universe takes us. Definitely feels like it’s gonna be a wild ride! |

| LET'S GOOOO IT'S FINALLY HERE I got chills when Oguri started running. My expectations are really high for this. I'm planning to read the manga along with the anime, and then continue reading from there. Btw the thing with the knees is based on real life: Most horses IRL stand up after 40 min ~ 1 hour after birth, but Oguri Cap couldn't do that. His right foreleg was turned outward significantly, and he only stood up after a whole day with the help of humans. He also had custom horseshoes made for him because of this. I love how the ED also references this. The ใใใฉใ (hatsuratsu, ๆบๅ) - "lively; vigorous" at 16:31 is also probably a reference to Oguri's name given to him at birth by the farm's manager. Or maybe I'm just overthinking this, idk. |

| I've never watched the OG series, but figured I would give this one a shot. I do have a basic knowledge of the world, at least. Anyway, I really enjoyed the episode and look forward to seeing more. I liked Oguri Cap's design the best of the girls introduced, so far. That name is definitely going to take some getting used to though, lol. |

| Real anime is back on the menu boys! Back during Spring 2018 I never thought I’d be this hyped to see these horse girls, but three seasons, a spin-off and a movie later, it’s one of my favorite series on the market. Season 2 still reigns on top for me as the best season but this first episode was gas, we might be in for the best anime from this series yet, and this is supposed to be a split cour too…. so much horse girl goodness awaits! I also think this might be the best this series has looked too, every season has looked great but there’s something about this one that looks extra crisp, the racing bit looked amazing too, safe to say this is gonna be a feast for the eyes going forward. But regarding the episode itself, I gotta say I never saw Oguri Cap as being this badass that she appears to be here, she was always the silly meme horse that eats a lot in the main series, never expected her to be this awesome, but those that know real horse history probably already knew, the extent of my horse knowledge ends at what Uma Musume has taught me and the Kentucky Derby unfortunately lol. This has definitely given me a new love for Oguri Cap tho, even here she’s so silly but is so cool too, loved how she schooled those delinquent horse girls even with their sabotage, and Jou Kitahara seems like he’s gonna make a really good pair with her, I love how expressive he is lol. Belno Light is a good addition too, Oguri Cap is the main player but I’m excited to see what she’s about as well, her reactions to Oguri Cap’s shenanigans have been great so far. And that OP and ED are already favorites of mine this season, instant bangers! The OP is a bit different than what we’re used to but it still fits so well, the ED was also really good, but man those visuals were beautiful, loved the use of the classic aspect ratio and the colors. |

| Yes! Dirt track is comeback since last appear in season 1 Pretty Derby. I don't read the manga, but hope we can see race with more dirt track. Also, i will be waiting for duo comedic rival combo Oguri Cap and Tamamo Cross. |

| Honestly, it doesn't feel like it has been 7 years since the very first Uma Musume anime aired, but I'm glad I checked it out back then as I've come to really enjoy what this franchise has become. =) Oguri Cap is the main star this time around and she always succeeded in amusing me with her ridiculous eating habits and expressionless facial reactions. She had me laughing a bit when she treated the storeroom as something to celebrate. XD CyGamesPictures know how to make this series look really good, both in terms of visuals and the animation. This first episode had that quality that reminded me of their efforts from the recent ONA and movie, so with this series being a split cour, this series is in excellent hands. |
