No problem, really :) I haven't had the chance to read any of the novels or mangas - especially since Tokyopop Germany has been delaying the release of the first volumes of both since July now...

Actually, I think you might have misunderstood something there. From what I can tell, both arcs are included in the light novels (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Sword_Art_Online_light_novels) The seventh volume - which was released in 2011 - is called Mother's Rosario and you can find the alternative "Caliber" (as it's officially been translated to) listed as part of the side storys. This arc was also published in 2011 and the original Caliber arc is included in volume eight according to both wikipedia and MAL (http://myanimelist.net/manga/41027/Sword_Art_Online_SS:_Caliber_SS_%28Failure_Side%29) "The alternative version to the Caliber SS in volume 8..."
Both of the manga you are talking about are adaptions of those, which started serialization only in June/July this year according to MAL :)

Uhm... I haven't really read through your review and I'm not even that much of an SAO-fan, but do you really think the SAO anime is based off of a manga series? The original SAO is a series of light novels...
It's really common for anime to be adapted from novels instead of manga :)
