| the genre is kinda an eyeroll but i like some scenes here and there especially when its out of nowhere makes me kinda shout YOWZA uncontrollably i think the demographics is key here as it is mostly targeted at teenage boy fantasies; which doesnt mean others cant find value in it obviously, different people will enjoy different things about the show for me its very easy to tell from the vibes whether the thing has queer, lesbian or whatever sensibilities (more abundance of that stuff in mangas tho) and this is the thing makes me really excited and be like 'damn this for me bitch' but yeah the vast majority of the stuff out there just doesnt give me that feeling u know i dont think ure missing anything, maybe there just simply isnt anything there that gives u that excitement |

More likely than not it's because you are watching shounen ecchi rather than shoujo or josei. Also, many ecchi shows honestly are kinda meh. Still, if you are going to watch ecchi you might as well pick the ones that are aimed at your demographic. Sadly, they are rather few and far between. (I'm trying to politely point out that 90% of ecchi anime are made for horny teenage boys which is probably why they are outside your strike zone.) Maybe give Nana, Lovely Complex, From Me to You, Blue Spring Ride, and Sukitte Ii na yo a try? Yona of the Dawn is less romance focused but might be worth a try since it is an all-around great anime. |

| Ecchi comedy can be some of the funniest anime to watch. Using Ecchi solely for fanservice rather than laughs is where I draw the line. But of course, as long as the average anime viewer has the impulsivity of a hormonal teen, sex will always sell. |
