| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Welp, the school festival episode. At this rate, I think this anime might be trying to go for every textbook trope there is for its settings. At least we also get Nanako and Aki in maid outfits. Even their new friend Keiko decided to play a role as a maid. Well, the episode also had its dramatic parts with Nanako and her own feelings. She |

| Now that Kyouya has fixed Nanako's singing, it's time for her to face the test: with the upcoming school anniversary festival, be part of the excitement to realize her dream. Dang, Shinoaki and Nanako looked great in their maid outfits...plus Keiko for help. The maid café sure captures all of the Photography Department's time, together with Kyouya and Co. Tsurayuki is just asking for more trouble trying to hilariously frame Nanako in her maid outfit, you deserved that man. Kyouya and Shinoaki have their private time together having fun...and looking at art abstracts. But him fainting subconsciously, and then getting a lap pillow from the caring Shinoaki is just about the sweetest and cutest thng ever...dem looked like an almost kiss scene between the two. A sudden change of plans is planning to wreck the concert show, and Kyouya letting Nanako be the replacement to the surprise of everyone...that's a decision that Kyoya sure made on a whim. His ReLIFE skills tell him that "Opportunity arises through fear", and so to calm Nanako down is a 50/50 gamble, but she makes-do with a newfound confidence with Kyouya's evidence through research. If you're wondering out the song Nanako was singing, it's indeed The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya's "God Knows...". LEGENDARY SONG. It looks like Nanako has found her lifelong dream of singing, and her stage name in the future: N@NA. But her love life ended right then and there with the confirmation of Shinoaki's innocent kiss on Kyouya...what heartpain. Well, what an episode that flew fast with butterflies in my stomach. |

| I'm probably going to be the 1% of the people watching this show who hasn't seen Haruhi Suzumiya yet, but even still, that God knows performance from Nanako was pretty good. Now here comes my problem with this show: some, if not, every important event that happens in this show feel rushed or lacks proper build-up. I'm fine with Kyouya being the problem solver, but they could at least give more time to properly flesh out the characters and their interactions in helping each other out. Pacing's kinda wack so far, but I'll wait and see how this show will turn out. |

| School festival and a maid cafe in it. Yup. Now that's what I'm talking about. Aki and Kyouya have grown pretty close and they even like each other. So, that's great. They were about to kiss. I was disappointed by that phone call until... Nanako has to perform as a substitute singer but she's not confident in herself but thanks to Kyouya, she managed to gain some confidence and performed really well for her first time. And that kiss in the end... YAYYYYY But, then I also felt bad for Nanako. :( |

| The festival was pretty good, especially to see them with the maid outfit xD and of course there are some development and problems with Nanako and her singing, and it's a god knows cover, that was great actually, she improved a lot! But yeah.. for the love war Shinoaki is way ahead Nanako, she already kissed Kyoya and Nanako saw it, that's actually sad even though it was still cute at the same time :/ |

| Damn, I did not expect to hear God Knows. Definitely gave me some nostalgia listening to it, it's been such a long time. Great to hear Nanako perform and gain some much needed confidence. Somehow I knew exactly what was going to happen when Nanako went looking for Kyoya and I saw Shinoaki and Kyoya talking together. It's such a classic drama scenario, I just hope it doesn't cause too much drama. I was kinda hoping this show would be more focused on the general lifestyle around pursuing a college degree in an entertainment course like it was for the past few episodes than a romcom with the setting as just a backdrop. We'll see I guess. |

| Lol i jumped from the chair when she started singing God Knows, bringing back old memories from kyoani and suzumiya, and well i was expecting it but tbh i dont like love triangles, can someone who has read the ln spoils me if its giong to be a love triangle all the way or is going to end in 2 pairs with tsurayuki. |

| No surprise that the cover song was God Knows. The timeline Kyoya's at is 2006-early 2007 area, where Haruhi Suzumiya was banging in popularity and the otaku culture was exploding to a new era, so God Knows is fitting for that concert. Rest of the episode was meh, romance elements feel way too forced so far. |

But i'm seriously glad i'm not the only one shipping Eiko with Kyouya xD, i'm actually so glad and happy ! |

| Went back to watch the beginning of ep 1. I had assumed the 3 people he was living with were the Platinum Generation mentioned in the beginning. But the plat gen was N@na, akishima shino and someone called kawagoe kyouichi (who tf?) I thought tsurayuki was one of the plats but apparently not then. |

| As soon as I heard that guitar rift, MASSIVE Haruhi throwback. Interestingly Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu anime was release in 2006, which is the time this anime is set. But I believe the song was sung in the 2009 adaption. So unless it was in the light novel (or its has an original) it would have been a first! |

| Good enough to keep me around till next week at least. I wish they put more effort into making Nanako’s performance as good as the reaction made it seem, but it was still alright. Do colleges in Japan actually have festivals with maid cafés and haunted houses? That seems like a cliché high school thing, but whatever excuse to get the girls in a maid costume. Idk why Kyouya and Shinoaki were going around the festival by themselves while Nanako was still in the room in her maid outfit. I guess she was waiting for the other guy? But she is more interested in Kyouya and was the one to ask if they could get out early so that doesn’t make sense. How this anime handles the love-triangle drama will be important to whether I drop this or not. |
