When I was a kid, I didn't have a PC or even mobile phone to play games on. For that purpose I relied on our local gamezone center. At that time, we played games like DOTA, NFS most wanted, GTA San Andreas and Vice city, WWE , etc together. We used the game zone's LAN to play Counter Strike together and I must say it must have been the first multiplayer game I had played in my life. I used the game zone for maybe like 4-5 yrs until I got a potato PC in Class 6. Then I played some old games like COD MW , Far Cry, Assassins Creed, etc on that trash but can't play anything now coz of its low specs. I wish I would get a Asus ROG OR Predator soon lol coz you know I m a gamer and a good PC is like a Gamer's need :(
So in General, my childhood didn't went with some Nintendo games or old PS games but more with PC games from 2000s ...

Eve of Extinction - The first game I ever bought was a PS2 game, Japanese Action adventure platform game.
Protag wielded a lightsaber in the beginning. His girl friend was either dead or an apparation that appears from the time to time in the game. It has lots of cutscenes with quicktime events.
As you progress through the game you get more lightsaber weapons, as staff, chain sword etc etc.

I played super mario 64, mario kart 64 and yoshi's story those were on my n64. Then one day my parents bought a ps2 with like 20 games with it. The games I remeber playing with them was guitar hero, some naruto game and then some other games that I don't remember the names of. Then also I used to play on my dad's laptop some flash games from this website and also some mobile games.

Tons of Nintendo games. Continued even beyond childhood so probably why I grew to be so disillusioned with them and their big franchises now mostly.

Beyond that, a whole lot of Sega Genesis/CD games. Always get real nostalgic when I accidentally stumble upon someone talking about Gunstar Heroes, the Shining Force series and some other shit.
Had a blast with the Final Fantasy Tactics games, too.

I grew up with the NES, Genesis and SNES back in the early 90s. Platformers and RPGs were always my favorite types of games.

Yes, they're all important things as well... But the most important thing is responsibility for your own actions.

All of them were borrowed NES games since I didn't have any money to buy my own except for KAGE (or Shadow of the Ninja in NA) which I have traded with some dude, and that one was my favorite NES game and it still is along with Ninja Gaiden 1-3 and all of the NES Castlevania games as well.

Assuming this is mostly referencing early childhood: Kirby Super Star and Super Mario RPG were my 2 mainstay game titles.

Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, Sonic and Super Metroid I also played often but they made me frustrated for a variety of reasons.

Toy Story 2 for the PS1 was my only title I owned for that system and I vividly remember getting consistently stuck on the boss level with the large slime monster in the garbage can.

I'm glad I got into retro gaming instead of keeping up with the new. Had a NES, SNES, N64 and Wii. Mostly played my SNES because I have the most games for it. I still play it and have all my old games to this very day.

When I was a kid I played a lot on the N64 (OoT, Majora's Mask, Pokemon Stadium, Turok, Banjo Kazooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day), Gameboy (Pokemon, Zelda Oracle of Seasons/Ages, somewhat obscure games like Magi Nation) and PS(mostly Spyro and Crash). Also played a fuckton of flash games on sites like Newgrounds and Miniclip. I still have fond memories of playing some weird hentai RPG on Newgrounds. Good shit.

Played Sim Theme Park and chess on an old mac computer. Had a Gameboy with some older mario games and a sega game gear but didn't really play much of that. Most of elementary school had to go a mom's friend's house cause of her job. Played a bunch of N64 Smash bros and mario cart. They also had an arcade machine that got tossed out with some games on it. Later on played a bunch of PS2 games with some favorites being Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank, Midnight Club 2, Star Wars Battlefront, and others. Played some Wii and Xbox at friend's house sometimes. Lastly played on Gamecube and had a Nintendo DS with only new super mario bros on it. So yea...pretty much my entire youth was games and this was b4 I had internet.

Balance between arcades, consoles and computer games

Remember playing on arcades classics in 80s-90s like Double Dragon and Golden Axe, Capcom beat-em-ups,Sega, Taito and Namco classics etc. Up till mid-2000 I used to visit arcades though by then they were shadows of their former selves.

On computers I caught with the 8-16bit Atari and Amiga era before x86 and dos/Windows became the main choice of developers. I remember fondly many amiga games and arcade ports which were a hit or miss. Though many were too difficult for a kid to play and grasp. Also played on monochrome dos PCs before moving to svga era.

On consoles I grew with the classic Atari2600, NES, and OG GB games and also played some master system games at my cousins. Got a Dreamcast much much later to take a break from computers.

So more or less I saw or played most of the classics
