| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Wow, didn't take long for Lunarre to come back to pick a fight and look for Alisha. Glad to see Lailah make her appearance though. Intense episode, Alisha also reunites with Sorey. Pretty good action, that power up with the sword and Sorey's battle design this episode imo is quite something especially after becoming the Shepherd.  |

| Alright this episode with its more or less heavy changes to the game game pretty much solidifies my stance towards this adaptation...It's so much better! I already liked the whole "Sword Festival" scene in the game but the anime took it even further. I'll need some time to get used to Lailah's new voice but she's growing on me fast! The fighting animation was brilliant and enhanced through the fact that Sorey actually used his "bankai" here instead of a rather insignificant scene in the game. Yep they're going original with this and I can't wait to see to what new ground this will take us. |

| Great episode, The animation is absolutely stunning. The fights are amazing to watch, All round the visuals are just exceptional. OST was great as well. Onto the episode, First half was mostly some political talk showing some parties taking issue with the way Alisha is handling things. As expected Sorey became the Shepard, I liked how Lailah questioned Sorey's resolve before letting him obtain the power. Sorey's reply that everything was connected in his dream was quite nice as well. His new form looks awesome. I loved the way he wrecked that hellion. The fight's finale made it look like the descent of some divine being(Well he is called a Shepard after all) with all the light coming out of the darkness and the orchestra OST xD I'm liking Lailah already, She was so cute in that ending segment. :3 Can't wait to see what happens next. |

| Ufotable redeem themselves from God Eater! This is how you do a game adaptation right.Its not fully perfect but this adaptation is going on the right direction and all the added new scenes and improvements is really fleshing out the bland story and characters of Zestiria as a game. |
All Sorey needs is an army of sheep and then he will awaken as a true Shepherd XD Hats off to Ufotable with that animation quality. The Shepherd vs Dragon fight was really fucking awesome. |

| The episode was awesome . I like the camera angle when sorey was battling the hellion on ground. Gives you a feel like you're playing the game sometimes. The animation was great again . I'm glad we got to see Sorey's resolve questioned before he was handed the power of the shepherd not only for his ability to perceive seraphims, and how he told Lailah that purifying the world from malevolence and hellions is connected to his dream in creating a world where seraphims and humans can live together in harmony and peace as the ancient knowledge says. The previews are funny as always and Lailah looks cute and appears to be a nice character just as Alisha. Also that new form looks badass af. |

| Visually this is the best thing I have seen in a standard anime TV series. Honestly I cant think of something that looks better. Also I absolutely love the character designs. I can get behind the story, it seems promising so far. All in all a very good episode and heres hoping to more of this caliber. |

| Well that explains why he didn't attack Alisha before, i guess i was just too impatient. The major changes or rather completely new story and i like it much more. As always great ufotable animations, Sorey's new desing looks really cool. And it was a good preview this time. |

| That was impressive, so many great things happened that the episode didn't even feel short. Even a squabble with mere assassins turns into beautifully choreographed scenes with high quality animation. Just watching it was afraid the episode gonna end without seeing Sorey doing stuff. I loved the frozen time sequence, it was almost like a parallel with Saber or Shirou accepting CG contract. I know the character not gonna be similar, but the moment totally is, Lailah was like Merlin or something. I had pretty low expectations for dragon, since dragons in anime are pretty poorly animated in general, but this one wasn't too bad, the particle effects also certainly helped make it look better. And it was actually moving and causing destruction. 5/5 easy. here have a stitched image |
| HOT DAMN! Juicy animation. BASED UFOTABLE. I like the pacing so far. It's pretty obvious that Sorey would be the Shepherd but still, he's pretty bad ass. Also, I like how the princess is also a bad ass as well. It's pretty rare for anime these days to have bad-ass main female characters |
| Hmmm, not bad. The pace is still a little slow, but i was still entertained from start to finish. Although, if they turned this somehow to seem like Sorey was the one behind the attack because "people's scorn", "being a Shepherd is suffering" and blah blah blah, i'll be really disappointed. This looks like it can go in some interesting directions, so please don't disappoint me. Lailah was cute in the final skit, so i'm looking forward to seeing more of her now. Visuals-wise, ufo, this should be a lesson for you. Digital effect can only hide crappy CGI so much. Aside from that, everything was standard ufo fare. The music turned to "epic mode" this episode... and i'm alright with it. I'm a sucker for tracks like this. Overall, it was an alright episode. 7/10. Also...   |

| Well, it was definitely obvious that Sorey was going to become the Shepherd, but even with that this was an excellent episode with some of the best visuals I have ever seen. I'm also really enjoying the way that the story seems to be progressing so far, so here's hoping it continues to be as interesting as it has so far. |

| Wow visuals are movie level this is already my favorite tales adaptation and from a tales game i didn't even really like this studio is doing a fantastic job couldn't ask for more i hope they keeps this up. |
| Sorey being the one to pull out the sword was obvious, but this episode was still really good, especially the awesome animation during the action sequences. Even the CGI used for the dragon wasn't even that bad (but I have a feeling a certain person will have a different opinion about that). |

| Surely, you can't see everyday an anime adaptation that is better than the source material. Good job, Ufotable. I was quite sad when they decided to adapt Zestiria since it had a weak storyline, but now that I know they're gonna make a lot of changes and it looks like it's gonna be awesome. |

| i didn't expect a game adaption to be this good, especially the visuals are among the best i've seen in anime series so far stopped playing the ps4 game after recruiting the wind seraph, but the story seems to be interesting |

Same design as hers plus same way of being fitted on the back of her belt (not to mention the red hair you could glimpse in frontal views). |
