If its textbook about biology, mathematics, or history, its fine. as well with manga but when it comes books like hunger games or F***king cat in the F**** hat, i dont even like reading those. i dont even have any favorite book or light novels. the only light novel i read is highschool dxd. i hate reading because it doesn't have enough ecchi or describe ecchi or boobs. if i read a action genre, everything goes with one hit. there isnt any parts that describe them fighting like a jackie chan scene. i dont even think theres a exaggerated sports.

Your attention span is pretty too weak to enjoy a book.

T-That's quite savage of you... You don't need to always be reminded of ecchi... It's your preference if you don't like books but for that reason..?

I have a similar issue. I don't have a problem with reading text books and manga, but I have a hard time keeping focus when reading novels. I'm a visual person, so I'd rather see the visuals rather than have them described to me. You might be the same way.

I used to love reading until school had made me dislike it. Now I would read but I cant focus enough to do so for too long because my mind is always elsewhere.

I enjoy reading books meant for entertainment.

Textbooks, not so much. I get discouraged from reading it when I don't understand what they talk about :/
Now I see the secret of the making of the best persons.
It is to grow in the open air and to eat and sleep with the earth.
-Walt Whitman

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

No. I loved reading. I was reading books well past my grade level when I was younger. If anything the quality of books now disappointment me. As they are dumbed down so much.

Reading used to be my passion. I'd read dozens, if not in the hundreds, within an year. I even finished Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire within a single day (note; that's over 400 pages). Now, I've been unable to read as much as I used to, which has really hurt. There are so many books I want to read, but I can't because I just get bored too quick. Not to mention, one of the two exams I'm sitting in a fortnight is full theory while the other has almost half theory.

That's fairly sad if that's the reason to not like books. BTW, my friend's wife only like to read pornographic novels. So she would probably disagree with you about those not having enough ecchi. Written sex scenes> hentai. Anyway, as for me, I love to read books.
But I'm not fond of ecchi books, so I tend to avoid anything heavily focused on it. And to avoid harem as well.

as expected from short-life attention spawn MAL autisms

Autisms with high level IQ like Aspergers quite often like to read books you know. Autisms don't have short attention spawn (often that's quite the contrary since they can stay a lot longer than Neurotypical peoples doing the same thing if they enjoy it), but an attention deficit disorder (ADD ), which is completely different.

Short attention spawn can indeed be the problem here, but have nothing to do with autism and with ADD.

EDIT : ah you edited it.

Reading offers way too much to hate upon. Reading definitely has improved my imagination and creativity, giving me lots of inspiration to do things. Lately I do prefer reading manga but books can bring about the same entertainment, plus reading is a versatile form of entertainment and can be done in any location (train, bus, car, at home).

Ugh, reminds me of high school english class.

I'm sure shakespeare didn't mean to encrypt 1 thousand references of symbolism and metaphorical substance in his works.

I wonder how he would feel today about high school kids overanalyzing his plays.
