| I appreciate people who don't eat meat due to moral reasons. I as well love animals and hate the way livestock are often treated. However, going vegan in my country would mean an economic suicide, so I refrain from doing so. |

| I can understand vegetarianism but veganism seems to go farther than what I would consider reasonable with some claims vegans make about things. |
| I'm a vegetarian myself, but I doubt I could ever go fully vegan. Being vege is easy, and meat is easy to replace with tofu, soy and vegetables, but I'd be in trouble trying to cook without milk and especially cheese. But even though I'm a vegetarian, I don't bother myself with other people's eating habits. They can eat meat as long as they don't come waving the bloody steak in front of my face. |

| Vegan cheese is gross. There are enough yummy vegan things to eat that you don't need meat and cheese replacements (although I do love some vegan veggie ground beef for a lovely vegan shepherd's pie). None of my dinner's take three hours to make, and I make a lot of vegan food even though I'm not vegan. It's just rice, tofu and veggies with oil and spices, or hot sauce. Takes twenty minutes. Salads take even less. Or beans and veg cooked in olive oil and hot salsa over a bit of rice. It's like the filling of a burrito. So good. Minus the icky burrito shell. |

| my best friend is a vegan because she was brought up that way and she can't take lactose/meat well anyway. her father is a fisher though and i guess it's because of the stuff he's seen that the whole family was kinda brought up to be vegan. her and her sister have a lot of intolerances too so she feels a lot more comfortable just eating veggies and tofu etc. :) |
