| I swear, I get different results each time I take the Myers-Briggs test. This time it's INFJ. Last time it was ISTP, before it was ISTJ, then before that it was ISFJ, and sometimes even ISFP. The introverted quality is always consistent at least. It's always been the 'Sensing' quality until now. I think this one is actually more spot on than any result I've had before though. I don't know about the perfection bit though... I say as I spend way more time than I should trying to make a simple post roll off the tongue nicely.;; We have Huey Freeman and Don Quixote?! |

| Why the Myers-Briggs test is totally meaningless The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is probably the most widely used personality test in the world. An estimated 2 million people take it annually, at the behest of corporate HR departments, colleges, and even government agencies. The company that makes and markets the test makes somewhere around $20 million each year. The only problem? The test is completely meaningless. | I hate it when they ask me not to be neutral about it. I can notice both factual discrepancies and patterns, so what do I do? Lie? I honestly don't like these "Fully Agree, Slightly Agree... etc" type of measuring, especially on stuff that doesn't really make sense to me. From what I noticed I get different results, from INTJ to ENTJ to ISTJ to ESTJ to ENTP. I'm an NT, that's for sure (even if it's meaningless overall). I'd guess I'm an ENTP with several traits from other places, I have no idea. Yet I can see myself in other things like ENTJ, or INTJ. This test really is shitty. I'm neither extroverted nor introverted, I can be both perceiving and judging, the only thing that I always am is a rational person and a thinker, I can't be emotional but I can act emotional and I can also be both sensing and intuitive. EDIT: Another edit, I really don't know what to say, ENTP most likely. |
