I watched Glasslip because of cultural reasons. It always seemed like the story hadn't really started yet at every point in it so I was sort waiting for something to happen. I finished Another, Papillon Rose, Nanatsu-iro Drops, Hyouka, and Mini Moni for challenges even though I didn't really like them. I would still like to see a romance spin-off of Hyouka, though, as the chemistry between Oreki and Chitanda was one of the few good things that helped me get through the series. One legit example of what you're talking about would be SAO II. I liked the first 14 episodes, but after that I was mainly just watching to see if it could either redeem itself or if it would get even worse.

This is true. Just out of sheer curiosity, just to see how far the trainwreck can slide off... I'm pretty much ready to watch something I'd rate even a 2 as long as it's an interesting enough of a trainwreck.. eg; I watched shows like Mirai Nikki and SAO just to see how dumb it could possibly get, but I just couldn't get through Mahouka or Oregairu because of how mind numbingly boring they were..

Really bad stuff is hard to come by. As in, really, really bad stuff. It's always enjoyable to watch them to see how things went wrong, because at some point, there were people putting time, effort, and resources into a project thought to be worthwhile enough to green light. While well-made shows are great to watch, an anime that manages to fall apart at even the most basic levels is a wonder to behold. I'm always curious to try and understand thought processes behind such shows. It's even better if a show manages to offend me in some way, as I hardly get offended when watching anime. It helps me as well by letting me know my limits, or at least that's how I justify not dropping stuff if I can help it.

Im the type of person when it comes to anime I finish what I start, and Durrarra was no exception. It was so god fucking awful I honestly dont know how I am living today. Watching Durrara was the equivalent of licking a toilet seat at a seven eleven. Awful

Yes I continue watching to see the anime through. I cant judge the entire anime's worth base only on what I have seen. Some anime has some twist at the end or progresses slowly. Though some were bad I got the opportunity to enjoy it. Kill la Kill and One Punch man are examples.

Kuma said: I haven't seen Big Order, but Bakuon!! is pretty bad. It's bad in a kind of "generic fanservice show that seemed like it should have been interesting" kind of way which isn't the worst kind of show, but it's bound to be disappointing no matter what you watch it for. The laws of physics govern some episodes more than others. You could think of it as K-On! with motorcycles and fanservice, but I think you could basically describe any anime ever created by comparing it to K-On!.can somebody tell me is there any shows worse than big order this season? i am geniuenly curios and want to watch it because big order realy entertainme with how bad it is... |

I have literally never seen a bad anime YET. The one exception has to be Comet Lucifer which i did watch about 4 episodes to see if it could redeem itself but that anime was just... ugh don't get me started... but if i ever do find anymore bad anime i simply won't watch it anymore. I don't understand people who will for example watch every episode of fairy tail and then give it a 2. If you don't like it don't continue watching it?

I have watched some stuff I hated for the sake of review groups before (where everyone watches an anime voted on then discuss/review it at the end) so I imagine other people who finish something then give it a super low rating are in similar circumstances. Even if the anime was bad, the whole experience of discussing the badness of it with the group is enjoyable enough to get through it. Same concept of crappy video games being fun if you play them with fun friends. Fairy Tail sounds a bit extreme though. Most I've been through is a standard ~24ep series. |

I will attempt to finish it if it's bearable. Sometimes it's so bad that it's good, you continue watching while not having any expectations just to see how it all ends. One example of this is this season's Mayoiga. And then there are those too atrocious to complete watching. I dropped Pupa and Glasslip after a few episodes. The only one I tortured myself to finish was Diabolik Lovers, and I don't know why I bothered to. Give me my time back aaaargh.

Most of the time I don't drop anime. I'm currently watching The Asterisk War and its pretty average but I'm continuing it to spite Elitists. Most of the anime I watch is so short, that by the time I gave the anime a fair shot, I'm already halfway through the anime. So its like "ehhh, might as well finish it".
