| This season finale imo was ok, nothing too special from other episodes imo but gave Sunraku some room to breathe after some of his more recent fights. When it comes to loot, jewelry is also meets part of the system. They're definitely setting up for more events for the next season though. | Yes, he wanted to brag, but that doesn’t mean we spend three-fourth of the episode doing that thing only. I mean okay they were jewels, and they introduced that jewelever or whoever, but why does we need so much screen time over his annoying antics? Fuck that. Anyways, that professor who might have a deep voice but is actually a pink-haired girl did make their appearance, and weirdly, they ended this episode with their invitation to Sunraku lol. Such a weird place to conclude. Nakata Jouji voicing that professor is quite possibly the only good thing out of this episode. Felt strange but okay lol. Honestly, they could’ve made a 12 episode adaptation, and pretty much everything, every minute of this two cour adaptation would’ve been easily covered there, but they had to drag stuffs out, to the point where it felt like we were only simply watching these characters doing dialogues, then some walking around and lastly throwing some unfunny comparisons between a good game and a trash game, and yeah, then episode is over. Not much happening is one thing, but purposefully recapping and delaying stuff is another. Miserable pacing. Tbh, the animation was the only thing going for this series, so they can’t fool anyone with their so-called “dEEp aNd iNtRiGuinG lOrE” lol. Not much to look forward to second season if they do continue to adapt things this way. |

| I'll definitely miss having my weekly fix of Emul. After stumbling upon gemstones amidst the plunder brought back by Sunraku, Bilac was eager to have them appraised by a jeweler. To facilitate this, she introduced Aramis, the Vice Captain of the "Booted Musketeers" and a Sword Saint hailing from the allied nation of Cazzeria, to Sunraku. Accompanied by Emul, Bilac, and Aramis, Sunraku embarked on a journey to Eighdold where they encountered "The Professor," leader of "The Library," renowned for their expertise in lore study within the Shanfro game world. Not like Puss in Boots, more like the Three Musketeers. Funny how Aramis, the mature one in the original, ended up being a jeweler in this version. And the MC from the original, who eventually became the strongest of his three seniors, is also the longest-serving member. Anyways, this Professor dude or girl really caught me off guard with their voice, WTF lmao. Seems like they're neutral, not interfering in ANY fights, just existing to find the cringy truths of that world. Maybe they'll help, though pretty sussy loli if you ask me. Will Sunraku accept The Professor's request to uncover the truth of this game called Shangri-La Frontier? That'll be a question answered this fall WHEN WE GET ANOTHER SEASON ALREADY... WTF... | Sunraku surprising Bilac with rare materials harvested from the Crystal Scorpion loot, she's on a roll. That is except the Stinger, which Sunraku shut Emul's mouth with carrots (classic Sunraku), and he wants Bilac to create weapons from it. Unfortunately, this seems like a job for a Jeweler, and there is one, as much as Bilac hurts to call him in: Ignoramus a.k.a Cazzeria's Vice-Captain of the Kingdom of Cait Sith's Musketeers in Boots, Aramiys. Both he and her have quite the love-hate relationship, though she needs him to call up his buddy of D'Arynaata to concoct an accessory out of rare gemstones. Oh well, this is going to take time, so a nap Sunraku takes out of SLF and real life. Both Oikatzo and Arthur's in-game email messages are ignored for now to focus on upgrading Bilac into an Ancient Swordsman. But once again, both her and Aramiys have quite the rom-com aesthetic going for them, and regardless, he's going to tag them throughout the journey, after hearing of Sunraku's exploits which make him all the more reputable between both the Cait Siths/Cazzeria and Rabituza. Going to Eightfold, Sunraku has to go back to his ghost apparition robe while Emul is able to transform into her human form again. This, however, attracts the attention of a loli, which she approaches Sunraku...with a rather sus old man's voice who knows him. Sunraku just couldn't believe his eyes that he's seeing the Professor of the Game lore clan The Library, who's interested in SLF lore, and gives him a friend request as a way for him to join their group. To know the truth of the world, Sunraku MUST take the plunge to encounter unknown situations... Clearly, there's still so much lore behind Shangri-La Frontier, and I don't mind a Season 2 as a continuation...which like Nanatsu no Taizai: Mokushirou no Yonkishi, is coming back as the same anime pairing this Fall. https://twitter.com/ShanFro_Comic/status/1774352758931640687 |

| Literally introduced the best character in the final episode, what a ballsy move. Overall, a great example of a series where main interest retainer is relatability rather than the story or well made animation. Why bother with drama and stakes when you can just play game, immerse it in worldbuilding and game mechanics, enjoying a hobby to the fullest extend.  |
| Lmaoooo a little girl avatar with an old man voice is something people would 100% do A long scene after credits! The transition from the ED to the scene was cool. 25:09 石頭 (ishi-atama lit. stone head) - obstinate person; stubbornness; pigheadedness 8/10 Really cool anime. Everyone actually just having fun in a game with no outside interference was nice. + the animation was amazing. Season 2 starting in October let's goooo! And it will be 2 consecutive cours too! I was expecting this getting a sequel announced right away, but October is much sooner than I anticipated (I didn't even expect a timeframe, only the announcement) |

| Holy shit lmao Nakata Jouji voicing the pink hair loli, that cracked me. I thought it would be hilarious to hear him voiced in the anime, loli magical girl with a voice of an old man and this had me rolling. Good adaptation but I definitely enjoyed the manga more, the anime was lacking in some aspects. Or maybe I'm just biased due to Frieren airing during the same season and how good that adaptation was. I really liked the visuals for a lot of the stuff in the anime though. Anyway the journey continues in season 2 and it's just this fall and consecutive two cours again no less, wow. |

| Incredible episode. Bilac just make every episode great and Nakata Jouji is just genius choice for proffesor. Cath Sith was bit annoying, but I can live with that. Also Sunraku just ignoring his pals is so relatable to me. |
| Alright so the new characters arrive one by one. A cat musketeer from the kingdom of cat, Cazzeria, puss in boots, cait sith, Ignoramus (seriously bruh what kind of sub is this xd). Been a long time not to see this kind of furry character, and pretty sure he's so energic. Wandering what kind of place Cazzeria like, and what kind of npc, the jeweller, Bakamis acquaintance gonna be. However before that, let's stop this decent first season of slf with another arrival of eccentric character, a magical pink girl with the voice over of an Ossan asking some obvious matter. Not to mention he choose the name of The Professor from the Library? Now that's truly an interesting stop to this pretty nice series. Not gonna write much rather than i am indeed enjoying my watch here, especially with a lot of desuwa from Emul. Really wish the second season will keep the quality as this impressiveness. But overall, i think this is beyond my first expectation held at. |

| not bad show i just hate how slow the pacing is its like they are adapting 1.5-2 chapters per episode only while the usual adaptation is 3-4 chapters of any weekly manga maybe i will watch the second season since im curious how sunraku will fight lycagon again |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| I have been watching this show since it started airing and I have to admit this show truly captures the 'Game' aspect correctly, unlike some other anime which I have watched. It seems the 2nd season will start airing in October and it will also have 2 consecutive cours. I have high expectations for it! |

| And thus this stretched out nothingburger of gaming sham finally gets to an end. It could had easily fit in just 13 episodes taking out all the padding and worthless infodumping or plain blabbermouthing scenes Shame that so much effort was invested in animation and voice acting in a hollow and souless show with cardboard cutout characters. Take a look at GunGale Onine as a good example of doing more than just the "gamur" experience, Lenn felt more like an actual character with more sides than just one smug act like Sunraku does, in fact her personality IRL was completely different and the online gaming part that allowed her to just unwind and reach out to people. Characters like Rei had no purpose other than being doormart to inflate the neckbeard fantasy of a cute girl stalking a literal nobody that only plays videogames all day and has zero personality or skills. Shame that Aramis joined until now, he's the legit only clown in this circus that made me laugh (that and Bilac that served the necessary role of a straightman) This one gets a 3/10 in my books just for the animation effort. Remember kids, good graphics don't make a videogame, and in the same way, good animation shouldn't be an excuse to cover for poor storytelling and poor character writing. |

| So ends the first season of one of the best VRNMORPG anime ever. Been such a fun time watching this one for 6 months. Can’t wait to see what comes in season 2. This finale didn’t feel like a finale so much as a cliffhanger for the second season, which luckily will be here in October. Always nice to see Emul in her human form and the Mahou Shoujo being a dude was a hilarious twist. Not just any dude though, YOROKOBE SHONEN himself, the legendary Jōji Nakata voicing her was such a wtf moment in the best possible way. I swear this show is so real because behind almost every anime girl pfp or avatar you see online is a guy 😂 we’ve had two of them in this show so far. The offer to join the library and learn the mysteries of this world is definitely appealing, I don’t see Sunraku accepting though… there is a ton of lore we haven’t got into yet with the world, hopefully season 2 will cover more of that. At times the pacing felt a little off in this season. Great animation, characters and a proper VRMMORPG world with interesting mechanics, just didn’t like the pacing at times. |

| What an amazing journey it has been. I loved Sanraku's journey and his companions tagging along with him throughout this game. Emul is the cutest in this show. Bilac is amazing as well. Can't wait to see more of them later this year when Season 2 comes out. It was a very fun show. I thoroughly enjoyed it from the beginning till the end. Sasuga, C2C. |

| wow since october last year, its actually been a long run and we already have another two cour season announced for fall 2024, this show is running big game. 7/10 i enjoyed cour 1 more than 2 even though cour 2 had some crazier animation. |

| And with a lot of new side quests opening left and right, a mysterious magical girl with an old man's voice, a lovey dovey cat swordsman among a lingering rematch against Lycargon, the season comes to an end. I ended up really liking it more so as I usually play a lot of games and understand the struggles of hard challenges, escort missions, MMO forums, grinding, skill trees and many more. In the way this story was approached I understand that the author must have had a lot of experience not only playin but consulting and comparing from different sources and it really shows. Still, it's not perfect as some of the mott for the series kept being repeated at the beginning of every episode and the pacing could have been a bit better during some explanations. Again, as a usual player in these fields I understand and value that contribution but also can't deny just much of a chunk it takes. Thanfully the battle animation was so great that at times I forgot about it, not to mention the metal openings and the way the mini theatre was not only cute but sometimes added details or answered questions before I could ask them. The bar is high for season 2 but not as much as unreachable in the least. |

| Masterpiece. Amazing staff brings epic anime. Beautiful. Fun. Amazing action. Monaca brings perfect music again. The bass is amazing (I have a simple home theater). Did you play Nier Automata, one of the best games of all time, one of the best music of all time? Monaca music studio. Did you remove all your armor to fight Artorias in Dark Souls 1? Maybe Malenia in Elden Ring? Did you solo that epic boss in that super hard difficult? This is why this anime is so fun. One of my favorite anime ever. AAAAAAAAAHHH I WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME!!! |
| The way Emul matches Sunraku's facial expressions when he was showing Bilac the materials he gathered was great lol. Also, I was not expecting that pink haired magical girl to sound like that so I'm guessing an older guy is playing as her? (I had a male friend that would only play female characters in an old MMORPG I used to play). While this finale was alright I'm glad that a 2nd season announcement was made right away but I'm more surprised and impressed that it's coming out later this year with 20+ more episodes, nice! Also, the animation and character designs were good but I thought some portions dragged on including the Wethermon fight and even the build up for it. 7/10 |
| Funniest part is based on what was shown and said in the aftermath of Wethermon, the magical olg guy is married and his wife is co-leader of the guild. Rabuzza is still my only gripe with the show. It is way way too convenient for Sunraku in order to basically skip all the content and not only get all the tutorials he needs and shops, etc without having to play the same game as the rest, but it also has higher tier of each NPC job there. Emul and the rest of AI is badly portrayed in the way that they made too much "alive", this could have been avoided just by not making scenes about Emul waiting for Sunraku while he is fighting and things like that. Overall liked it, mindless fun as it markets itself. |

| There was way too much slapstick humor in this episode and all while introducing a new character. It didn't leave a great impression, to be honest. But they teased some interesting developments for the next season and I'm excited to see more of this incredible world. Especially how beating one of the unique monsters influences everything that happens in the story moving forward. |
