good episode, really liked it. especially when it came to sinon and death gun shooting at each other and death gun only destroyed her scope while she destroyed his gun.

Oh boy, shit just got real!

Fight between Kirito and Death Gun....woot woot!
And also! Sinon took down that....Dark Wind guy? That was pretty cool. :3

Ok! So, nothing else much to say...except....it looks like Asuna knows who Death Gun is? Or maybe she has an idea of him......hmmm.....

maybe you're misunderstanding my post. what i mean is that his accomplice is right in her room and can kill her any time but they think it's like a game so they don't take that chance right away

They probably don't have a grudge with her to want to just kill her. They want to kill her when she gets shot to make it look like he can kill people ingame, if she doesn't get shot there's no point in killing her i think

Well, I'm gonna try posting in one of these threads for the first time:

I legitimately enjoyed this episode, and I watched it twice because my brother missed it, so I watched it with him after I finished it.

There're a couple of things that've got me really confused, the main one being why can't the SAO Cops or whatever you wanna call them track Death Gun's IP address or something and find out where he is without Kirito? He knows Death Gun is murdering people, and that's all he had to do, so what the hell is taking the cops so long to arrest this guy?

Also, after the SAO incident, it's really hard to believe Bullet of Bullets wouldn't let you log off in a tournament. I mean, that's gotta be a touchy subject for gamers in the SAO universe.

Regardless, I hope they explain that. Other than those little things, I'm pretty excited to see the rest of this arc. The swordfights this time around are epsecially amazing, since they involve a lot more legwork. It's a joy to watch.

That would require getting information from GGO developers who are entirely anonymous, so its impossible.

Also, after the SAO incident, it's really hard to believe Bullet of Bullets wouldn't let you log off in a tournament. I mean, that's gotta be a touchy subject for gamers in the SAO universe.

Considering the head-wear is 100% safe, there's no reason not to.
Also there are emergency log off systems as shown - high stress and heart-rate disconnects you.

It explains that in the light novel, but obviously it was omitted in the anime. It was a 8 hit rapier/estoc sword skill called Star Splash, which is indeed one of Asuna's main skills.

Thoughts on the episode:

-Dat build-up/rehash
-Happy they addressed the "how the fuck does Death Gun cross Tokyo so fast" question. I'm still wondering what he does if it turns out some of these people aren't shut-ins or actually have good security systems.
-Glad to not have to deal with more assshots this week. Shinon felt more like a bro in this episode.
-Damn, she climbed that derelict tower quickly xD
-Poor Dark Wind, arguably most skilled member of SAO taken out without firing a shot D:
-Dat sniper just took out a plateau. Such OP much Wow :S
-Double sniper kill OP.
-K, I'm calling bullshit on this Sterben guy. Not only does he have an invisibility cloak that nobody else in the game uses, silent sniper that is apparently impossibly rare, and a handgun that Shinon didn't even realize was in the game, but now he also has a METAL sword to go along with it? People complain that Kirito is OP, but I honestly think that we've been missing another major offender :S
-Considering that Yui seems capable of manipulating almost any computer/technology imaginable, you have to wonder why she doesn't just hack into GGO and just get Death Gun's IP address herself.
-Sorry DG, you can't kill Kirito IRL so he's still going to have them look over any bizarre gaming related heart attacks more carefully. Even if you don't end up killing Shinon, Pale Rider is going to show up one of these times and they'll be able to tie your account to him with a better autopsy. Sorry dude, but you've already lost, whether Kirito knows your actual name or not.
-Oh come on. I love epic fights as much as the next guy, but please don't drag this out too long >.<

Well, GGO developers are american, so it would be very hard or impossible to get his ip address and he could be behind several proxies.
It's a little weird you can't logout even if you want, but theoretically you will get logged out if the amusphere detects something wrong with your body, so there's no danger in that feature a suppose.

Dat cliffhanger.

Though I'm kinda half expecting Kirito to whip out his super-admin access again like in ALO. After all, IIRC he was the one who released the World Seed based on SAO code that ended up being the basis of all the other VRMMOs. Or at least that's what it sounded like at the end of ALO. With admin he'd be able to figure out who Sterben really was pretty quickly.

I'm also a little surprised he hasn't asked Sinon for her address so he could send a message to get the accomplice arrested. I guess there's a bit of danger to Sinon that way (if the accomplice sees the cops coming and decides to kill her anyway) but there's about as much danger with their current plan too; if Kirito gets killed then Sinon will be next.

He doesn't have it anymore, and the world seed was Kayabas creation anyways not his. In any case ALO just used almost the exact same engine of SAO ripped right out, just a bit less developed, while most others don't, so he can't do that anyway, to my knowledge.

Some suspicious shit is happening right now in GGO hmmm, I hope Kirito-sama (LOL) will solve the mystery XD.

Run-Gun Demon?! No player is a match for the stronk Kirito and his OP skills!

So it's a possibility for Death Gun to have more than one accomplice eh... now that sucks for them...

There's clearly no room for mistakes or failure as it will end with the death of Sinon.

Damn, Dark Wind sure is fast :o

Dat bullet dodge doe!

Well that was a really nice shot from Sinon to finish Dark Wind in a rather nice way.

Overall Death Gun lost his scope and sniper rilfe while Sinon only lost her scope, which I say is better.

Daddy OP... eh Yui?

It looks like Asuna made some progress on trying to find out the identity of Death Gun after seeing him use an estoc.

Huh... it seems that Death Gun is talking rather normal now.

Damn, Kirito isn't doing well at all and he might even lose (we all know it won't happen) :o

Kirito is able to sense incoming sniper bullets, and his reflexes are quick enough to dodge/deflect them...even at point blank range. he's pretty much OP and there is too much on the line for him to lose. and yet, the fight is entirely one-sided in favor of Death Gun at the moment. I'm just frustrated with Kirito for freezing up.

Not sure if you remember, but Death Gun dodged Sinon's bullet at closer range (i think) so yea, its not a surprise Kirito is losing to him. Also, if you see the flash of the shot, you might dodge it, then he was just using the prediction lines so... welp-

The mystery of Death Gun remains unresolved for now... That was also a pretty intense conversation at the end, no wonder Kirito's heart rate is going crazy! Not the full on showdown I was expecting but it's certainly built up this sword fight now.

remember Kirito's fight with Sinon? he gave her a free shot from nearly point blank range, and was quick enough to slice right through the bullet. I agree with you about Death Gun being ridiculously skilled as well. I'm simply stating my frustration with Kirito for freezing up and letting himself be damaged so easily. he's barely putting up a fight. he's OP and has too many people depending on him.

Oh, kinda forgot about that, thought you meant Death Gun's shot, but Kirito knew where Sinon was shooting, it was a 50-50 once she pulled the trigger.

That hospital scene was so unnecessary. This episode would have been better if the battle wasn't being interrupted by Kirito's overly attached girlfriend. The first half of the episode felt too slow they really need to pick up the pace because so far, this battle has been really slow though that was probably because they wanted to end on a cliffhanger. I'm kinda disappointed, I would have liked to see really fluid animation for this battle even if it meant the later episodes being slightly lower budget.

That's a good shot, Sinon.
Kirito doesn't know Death Gun's name because he didn't want to know when they were in SAO.
