Seeing the cast enjoy their camping in the Yamanashi is so comfy. Hell, even Chikuwa got some breath of fresh air.

Chiaki was also very amusing to watch this episode and she made some memories for sure. Gotta love how the cast always tries to make the best what they see outdoors.

The principal is so laid-back xD

While Nadeshiko and Rin were camping along the Oi River, it turns out that Chiaki, Aoi, and Ena spontaneously decided to go camping in the northern part of the Yamanashi Prefecture as well. While splitting the firewood they obtained through firewood distribution, Chiaki and the others joyfully share their travel anecdotes, such as delicious food, sightseeing at Mizugaki Lake, and the troubles that occurred afterwards. However, amidst the conversation, there are some unusual flashbacks, such as Chiaki, who was supposed to not go with them, appearing, and Nadeshiko barging in with a wipe, making it a slightly strange reminiscence.

Was good to catch up with Chiaki, Aoi, and Ena.

Aoi, Chika, and Ena enjoying their time together. Those flashbacks were quite hilarious.

Nadeshiko and food is always a funny combo.

Looks like the others girls had a nice trip as well but their way of telling about it was pretty dramatic.
Nadeshiko being hungry while they were talking about food was funny.
It was a close call in making it to the campgrounds tho.

I can't help myself but to say that there is something chaotically calming about the other trio of girls, watching them struggle with stuff you know, lol.

The first 10 minutes was trippy, Aki flashback plus Nadeshiko imagination is sure is a chaotically playful combination.

The VP and his chainsaw lol. An hour walk with that much bags though sure was a tough one. But the hot springs was an excellent motivator. Curious to see what the second half of the account is gonna be like.

Found the episode to be really boring follow episode focusing on the other girls after a disappointing arc beforehand, but hey, at least the story did try to experiment a bit with the flashback formula with random backgrounds having different effects based on Aki's unclear memories and Nadeshiko trying to alter the memory world by inserting different parts into it for the viewers to sit through. For all the chaos that ensued, it wasn't stuff that had me engaged with it and felt somewhat disconnected here. Yuru Camp's cast is normally very good that in its peak, it didn't need Nadeshiko or Rin to be a good episode but the stories from here didn't click well. Backgrounds looked very rough at times here too with how distracting and off they look compared to the characters. I know that this is the memory world, but the setting backgrounds looked even more distracting with the overly photorealistic nature that the anime looked straight up ugly at times. Season 3 has crossed the halfway mark and besides a couple of episodes where I partially got the comforting and fun vibes the original seasons had, this season's just been so lacking in it for me and it's having me feel fairly down instead. Felt like the humor wanted to do something different and a bit more experimental to fit the playful, chaotic nature here but it went a bit too forced for me in a way that didn't quite work out.

The remaining bunch of our beloved camping girls also had some fun adventure.

That flashback was very hilarious.

Delicious foods too. That curry looked good.

Well its ep 7, time really flies quickly. Lets hope for a good ep 8 as always.
I need somebody who can love me at my worst
No, I'm not perfect, but I hope you see my worth
'Cause it's only you, nobody new, I put you first
And for you, girl, I swear I'll do the worst

If you stay forever, let me hold your hand
I can fill those places in your heart no else can
Let me show you love, oh, I don't pretend, yeah
I'll be right here, baby, you know I'll sink or swim

A literal trip down memory lane episode 😂 . It’s been so long since we saw them because of Nadeshiko and Rin’s trip, I forgot about Chiaki and Aoi. First half of their onsen trip was really fun, I like how they integrated little embellishments of the story like Nadeshiko showing up too so we don’t know for sure how it went.

Fun as usual, can’t believe next episode is titled food porn lmao this’ll be fun

Dude that was one of the best episodes this season so far imo. It was hilarious seeing the animators just come up with hilarious fourth wall breaks for what is essentially just a filler/recap LOL. Weirdly enough I was locked in for this whole episode. It gave me subtle Bocchi the Rock! vibes in a way.

Chiaki story time!!
Really interesting way for the storytelling with Nadeshiko messing up with the memories LMAO

So the dog from the key visual is not even actually there.

I was so ready for the rest of their story and then it's over.. god damn it.

Creative writing this episode and made their past interesting, especially Nadeshiko's comments and the sound of her stomach growling, and I noticed something about the characters' eyebrows peeking out over their hats.

@alexrawk I agree I was kinda of ?? when I saw the translation. What was said was "meshi tero" (めしテロ/飯テロ) which is a slang directly translating to "food terrorism" (tero being short for terrorism). If you search it up though, several places do equate the translation to "food porn" in English, which I can see it being the closest English slang, but I'm not a fan of it lol. I prefer this blog's explanation more without using the word porn :')

@tingy It seems like a bit too much of a reddit meme to me, when I started using the site 10 long years ago, r/foodporn was pretty popular and everyone was making subs named ____porn. Though I wasn't able to come up with a better translation off the top of my head. Maybe if it was me I wouldn't treat it as a critical term, and write it in various ways like "food harassment" and "teasing me about food."

Our wacky trio's own adventure was certainly a fun one made more bizarre with things in the "flashback" that shouldn't be there, but was still included regardless. It was intentional and was pretty amusing all the same. =)

Hearing "food porn" being mentioned in this series is something that I wasn't expecting at all, being a translation and all. Either way, it was another thing that made me laugh towards the randomness that this episode was. Not only that, but food porn is also part of the next episode's title. Trying not to compare the mention of "food porn" and thinking of Food Wars is a difficult thing to do!

I'm not really a fan of this embellished-flashback format. I'd rather they just stay in the real world. That's kind of what this series was about, right? -Although I think it's changed a bit from "enjoying camping and the natural scenery" to "domestic tourism".

Thanks for the explanation. "Food porn" felt a bit out of place, maybe partly because other anime do a better job of living up to that description.

"Teasing about food" sounds pretty good, but it's also like a watered-down version of "food terrorism" or "food porn".
