| God, this episode was emotionally devastating. Not necessarily in any major plot developments way, but more the themes it hits are so relatable and so sad (and so inevitable), and are conveyed through such well realized and empathetic characters, that it just really hit close to home. This idea that everything is eventually going to be forgotten, that ultimately everything we do is only delaying the inevitable, but it is inevitable... sadly there are no elves in our world. In any case, great episode, I will really miss this opening and ending. The next ones have a high bar to clear, but if there's any series that gets full, blind benefit of the doubt from me at this point, it's this one. |

| Another great episode. Old man dwarf reason for protecting the village is touching. Even though he don't remember her human wife knows the village is important and keeps protecting if for hundred of years. I'm intrigued of Kraft-kun's past. And who's the priest beside him. I wonder what Gorilla-kun is doing. 😅 I hope he's not dead. |

| I really liked that the ancient hero is Kraft (who is forgotten by the world). Even Frieren doesn't know he is a hero when she met him. I want them to give a bit of insight into Kraft's heroic deeds and the identity of the human hero beside him. |

Voll means "whole" or "complete". He just appeared, but he makes me so emotional already. Him being so happy to talk to Frieren is so precious.

Why didn't Frieren tell Voll about the Demon Lord? Please explain, maybe I'm too immature to understand it.

Re-watch the episode, notice what Voll says, how Freiren reacts and how in the end she understands him. Basically the village is at peace, imagine having someone you trust tell you you are forgetting something but you aren't able to remember? Not only that, since Voll's wife was "his memory alone" Freiren can't even help him remembering. Freiren was kind with Voll who was actually senile. |
| When Voll was talking about forgetting things about his wife that was sad. I know how that can be a special type of pain especially with how fragile memory is where your memories can be altered. I was thinking maybe Frieren should find some spell to bring back memories but seems she didn't need to since he was able to remember some with his dream. Kind of weird to think about how people can be forgotten. Yet then again sometimes they are known again at a later time after a period of completely forgotten so long as there is some sort of record of them but even that isnt permanent. Kraft was forgotten within his own lifetime. |

| That was another beautiful episode. Loved the Voll part. It's always great to see people who know Frieren, and this one's a friend too. I always love seeing Frieren reminisce. To think that Kraft was once a hero in ages past, perhaps fighting against a threat as great as the Demon King. It's sad that they've been forgotten. But that must mean that Kraft is much older than Frieren, because Frieren never heard of him and had only known the Demon King. But at least Kraft now has found faith in the Goddess. What will Sein do here? |

| You can't help but have a lot of respect for Voll, considering how old he is. There's the bittersweet feeling when he talks about his wife, but being unable to remember what she looked and sounded like. Despite that, he still guards the small village that he made a promise to all those years ago, which I do think has helped him live longer. The scenes involving him and Frieren were wholesome, but Frieren kept that fact that the demon king was dead to herself out of respect for Voll's weakening memory, which was very nice of her to do. Not only that, but seeing Frieren smiling much more than before makes me happy, considering how expressionless she was at the start of the series. The latter half of the episode focused more on the search for Sein's childhood friend, who goes by the name of "Gorilla Warrior". After helping out the stubborn old lady, they were able to see that the statue that had been forgotten by the other villagers. Frieren recognised one of the statue model is Kraft, which was a nice touch. Now with a more accurate location pinpointed as to where Sein's friend has gone to, Sein did look conflicted on what to do at the end of the episode. I wouldn't blame him if he temporarily departed from the party and goes to take this detour on his own, just so he can get closer to the answer that he is seeking. I do hope he does reunite with his friend sooner or later. =) |

| Welp its sad that i manage to catch up this fast just to see that darn cliffhanger. But oh well, just like those old dwarf Voll, ill carry all these memories on to the future, 2024... Anyway, Fern and Stark seems to have less arguments and becomes more closer in the background, i wonder why. While Sein seems determine to meet up with his gorilla. Must be a tough call for him with that separation, me too wishing him to not away this fast as well smh. And Kraft actually a long forgotten hero? Damn that's a surprise. Wonder who's the other person? The gang needs to know the story while they meet up with him again, i guess. That's all, and take care to the next year, then... |

| @DeathToTastyDawn spoilers if you want to know he does not if i remember correctly. during the mage exam which will take a lot of episodes he is absent but makes a couple small appearances. not in the exam tho. |
| I thought the Demon King was already dead but I guess what happened might have been as simple as his power being weakened for a long time. |
