| You beat me to it by a few seconds, weird. c&p Was a good episode, I wonder how Kaiji got into this when he's actually pretty smart. But anyway, I spotted a mistake. On the second match, the one that Kaiji lost, they used this screen: But that was actually a moment from the first match, because on this second match Kaji's opponent didn't use paper - on the screenshot you can see him using paper though. Re-using screens is a no-go :P . |

| I'm confused as to where they can go from here. They have no cards, 5 stars between 3, and they need more money than their initial stake to be able to pay off their debts. Kaiji could cut and run with his 3 stars, but then he'd still be in debt. I don't see what he has to gain by continuing with the other 2 guys though, they are already out of it since they have 1 star each and no cards. Although, doesn't Kaiji already have their money? 4 million or so, which might be enough to pay off the interest if he skips out now with his 3 stars and no cards (the required to get out). I wonder also if they will buy cards off people with enough stars to exit, but who haven't used up all their cards yet. |

| Interesting episode. Nice to see Kaiji win for once. I have a feeling it won't happen for a while. I'm guessing the only thing they can do now is buy cards or stars, as Kaiji doesn't seem to be the type to betray his "friends". I wonder if Akagi will break even from the boat or end up in more debt. |

| I'm actually glad he didn't play like Akagi would. We're dealing with a different kind of person here. Kaiji is a born loser. but if he'd lose every match the series would be over by now xD I loved this episode to bits! Its so damn tense. You kinda expect the creators to screw Kaiji over. But he managed to get into the safe zone. Its going to be interesting to see whats going to happen now. Will he use his "friends" Kinda like he got used. Or is he gonna play it fair and risk getting in even more dept. Someone build me a time machine! |

| When I get the chance, I'm definitely going to watch Akagi. This episode was quite intense, and Kaiji's plan was pretty good. It's obvious now that he's going to need to get some more cards in the next episode if he wants to get his new friends out of this mess. |
| Yeah I think intense is a very good word to describe this series so far. I'm thinking Kaiji won't bail out on the others, because I think he enjoys this a bit somewhere inside, he's winning for once while all he's been doing otherwise is sit around at home cutting off carhood ornaments for cheap thrills. Other than that I can't see why he'd have a dilemma dropping them, other than maybe he wouldn't want to abandon someone who's actually weaker than him. I mean they haven't exactly been loyal to him, one guy is the guy who put him there in the first place and the other guy is the one who just stole one of the cards and ran off on his own. Anyway can't wait for next episode, definately one of the more interesting animes this fall :) |

| Akagi was a gambling prodigy, so its actually refreshing to see someone at the opposite end of the spectrum from him, but winning similarly. We respect Akagi as a higher level, but we respect Kaiji for sharing our own. Then again, if Kaiji was Akagi, he wouldn't be on this cruise ship to begin with. Waiting for episode 4. |

| Very good episode. Love the atmosphere that involves this anime =P I'm wondering what will happen now, since they have no cards. Will they buy them, or will they ask for cards to the people who've lost all their stars? |
| ZOMG. Can his two little sidekicks be any more annoying?!? I wanted to just grab an eraser and wipe them out of the show. Ugh. Otherwise, this show's okay... even though I wasn't expecting Kaiji to be this weepy and such a loser. I was kind of hoping that he'd be more like Akagi -- but I guess I could always just rewatch Akagi if that's what I'm looking for. ;) Well, it's interesting enough anyway... except for the sidekicks. Oh, and the narrator. I could do without him too. |

| I love it, but they really should cut down on the spoonfeeding and sometimes it was like DUH I figured that out 4 minutes ago... But damn it's good ^^ and yes I agree with the previous, the sidekicks are pathetic. |

| I really loved how they explained things in a way that made it easy for anyone to understand and loved how they showed the thought processes of the characters. So much strategy in such a simple game. This show also reminds me of Death Note in a way; the planning and the way things are thought out before execution. |

| wow holy shit this anime is awesome. so glad i finally found another anime that keeps me in suspense and actually makes me think, and also leaves me begging for the next episode. damn since season 1 is already completed its gonna be hard for me to stop. i couldnt care less about the art style anymore, i can tell this series is gonna be epic. |

| So far, pretty nice. I'm not very impressed so far, and it's been somewhat of a snore. Kaiji makes his first victory by deviating from the normal way of thinking. I would see why Kaiji kept the two. Being guaranteed unity and help from one another is a very warm thought, and Kaiji wanted to maintain that pact. Hope it gets better later on. |

Sure, maybe not as bad as the guy who conned him last episode but these two people did screw him over lol. Andou is definitely an idiot xD |

| Holy shit, I was so engrossed in it I didn't even notice when the credits were about to roll, that hasn't happened to me for a while now with anime. Wonderful episode, I'm really starting to enjoy Kaiji's character. |
