Another excellent episode of the series which is pure excellence! Team Enormeeta is complete. The Tres Magia has no chance but to madly fall in love with Magia Baiser, Leopard and Nero Alice!

This evil organization sure has a thing for attracting perverse girls! That scene with the tres magias was something else 😅 Korisu has some pretty unusual medical procedures but it is effective! Haha Kiwi was sent straight to horny jail!

A rather wholesome episode this time around. I love Alice already. She does all those lewd things with such innocence and she a very good friend to Utena! I bet she just joined Enormita because they had a cute outfit and cool powers. The last scene with her mom was the best however. In both how her mom could read she got happier after meeting Utena and in how she didn't want another doll because she found someone to fix them.

Of couse, there is the small possibility it's all just an act and she's actually the worst sadist in the world. But I don't really see that.

Comedy didn't fall short either, be it Azure's expressions or Leoparde in Horny Jail!

Venalita wanting both Utena and Kiwi to come to Nacht Base...and they're greeted by its 3rd member: Korisu Morino. How he managed to get her in...is by her whisking his tail and treating it like it's her own pet. But as is with any member of Enormita, Korisu gets her own unique make, like an alternate Alice in Wonderland. At the same time, the Magia Tres got caught in one of Korisu's traps with the cat doll, which evolved into a monster. Unfortunately, this is not enough to take down the rest of the monster dolls...and both Magenta and Sulfur have degraded to their childlike selves with Azure being the only sane one. It was all an illusion from Neroalice's dollhouse power, which is quite the OP power. All she needs is control, because she'll get tired if she uses her power too much.

Both Utena and Kiwi being invited to Korisu's house, she's quite the loner also, living alone with her mother, and a whole fest of new and old dolls in her room. But the one doll that she has kept in a glass enclosure, it's a special one from her mother, and Utena offers to help her fix the doll. But in the process, Utena getting sick, and Korisu traps her in her dollhouse to get treatment done. So, in a way, depending on the good or evil person, it can help or be a detriment, though facing the same fetish treatment. And Kiwi...decides to take advantage of that, though too bad, not to her ideal.

Korisu...I hate to say this, but she's a character who must be protected.

@Khkie the studio has a lot of loli degenerates, if it was in the manga then this scene should be cut, if you're not a pedophile it's not a loss, right?

Wow that was such a "sleepy" episode… (meaning, everyone seemed like they haven’t slept for days and it was so slow that I almost fell asleep.)

I did love the threesome though. Did not expect that to happen at all.
And then the doctors scene! Damn.

Least favorite episode... not what I wanted to see. A deaf-mute loli in a ecchi show.
Kiwi & Utena's reaction to the loli (especially Kiwis) was the funniest part of it
But a new character that doesn't even contribute dialogue isn't really a character
Then the Tres Magia get lured into a trap by a creepy Cheshire Cat thing. The animation was cack

Then the stuff Magenta & Sulfur (I still can't stop laughing at that name) to Sayo was creepy because they were not themselves... the animation looked like a hentai at this point. Nothing seemed to happen with them after that...?
Like what is Korisu's motivation for joining Enormita? What a boring episode. Utena's expression while Korisu tapes up the doll sums up my feelings exactly.
Then her mom.. examined Utena. What the hell......
@SuperAdventure
deaf? where has it been shown she's deaf?

SuperAdventure said:

bruh are you seriously being dysability-phobic?? you don't have to talk to be a character, and talking isn't the only voice people have. Guess you also don't see sign language as a language??

Love Alice as a character and her powers are super cool, but maybe the show shouldn't be sexualizing the non-verbal, possibly traumatized girl.

@BlueBullet178 I agree 100%. In the manga she is not sexualized AT ALL, even her transformation scene is completely covered. Kinda dissapointed they didn't keep it that way for the anime.

I'm not the guy who said Twitter would be up un arms about this. Also, this episode's subs are turning The Utena/Kiwi ship canonical. There was a whole line about going to a hotel where Utena flatly turns Kiwi down, and the subs say "not now", as if to say "later", and implying they've gone before.
I think I can interpret this as just a less forceful way of turning Kiwi down, rather than an implication that they've stayed at a love hotel before.

The transformation scene lmao... The whole time I was like "Its totally fine if they wont show it", but the studio has balls (unlike that certain ecchi show this season that cuts the whole thing).
I didn't know they were allowed to broadcast that... O.O Still, I've heard there are some censored versions of this being broadcast, so I'm not sure where the uncensored version has and hasn't been broadcast.

We got introduced to Korisu in this one, I like the fact that they even made use of her forehead in her transformed look lol. And she seems innocent enough but that was before we saw what she thought up in her little dollhouse that trapped Tres Magia, definitely quite tasteful, it was kinda funny how the “husband” Magenta joined the “baby” Sulfur in her tiddy meal lol.

And the 2nd half we got to see Korisu’s room, and she has quite the doll collection but they’re very beat up, so it was nice of Utena to fix her favorite of the bunch but she ended up getting sick, this wasn’t a bad thing in hindsight lol. The whole doctor bit was pretty good, I did find it more silly that hot but it was still kinda hot, and the adult Korisu reminded me a bit of Kusuri from 100 Girlfriends which I liked as well.

@Dickegrobe Gushing over magical girls had been weird and fucked up from the start.
@cardfightereli
But not quite in that way. Horny teenagers being horny teenagers is just that, add magical girls and a few tropes / common kinks and it gets a little weird, sure. But with episode 4, going even younger and having that grade(?) schooler go porn demon king and seemingly kinda sorta in a way, like, almost conflate family stuff and motherly affection with sexual kinks ... that was a whole other level of weird (one that does, for some reason, feel very Japanese, though, I have to admit).

Korisu looks cute but I don't know what to think of her personality at the moment with her being mute. Not sure i should be worried about her or it's just meant to make her seem mysterious and cute.

That was sweet of Utena to fix Korisu's doll.

That's some wild power to be able to have a little mini world to control and even heal the common cold.

I laughed for Kiwi being sent to horny jail.

The subs for this series are atrocious, as usual. Jesus Christ. Now they've got Utena talking like she's actually already doing lesbian stuff at hotels, when she's actually turning the other girl down flat.

Utena said いけないよ ikenai-yo. Now im not claiming to know Japanese but looking it up and understanding Japanese is very contextual I can get a few things. I don't fully grasp the meaning in this context but how is that a flat rejection? It seems more ambiguous avoidance speak from what i gather. Not sure the best way to translate that but something like "we gotta go do this though" or "we can't though" might do. I think when they used "not now" what was actually meant by the translator likely was dismissal of even listening to what was said and the person translating probably didnt see the scene just read a script so they didnt see how Utena said it which is why it read that way for some people.

Loved the chapter. Alice is cute as heck! Utena wanted to do the Rena thing and take Alice home~ This time the anime adapts chapters 9 and 11.

Some changes compared to the manga:
- When Utena was sick and Korisu used her powers transforming into an Adult-Nurse Alice, we got an extra anime-only scene where Alice puts ointment on Utena's breasts.
- Korisu's transformation scene was censored in the manga and she didn't said Trans Magia in the manga.
- Korisu's birthday and her mom wasn't shown in the manga.
- Tres Magia's training in the 11th chapter was also skipped.
- Also, they skipped showing the rest of Enormita evil girls that showed up at the end of ch 11.
- Judging from the title of ep 6 we'll get chapter 10 adaptation there.

Utena was actually surprisingly forceful in the raw. She outright said "I'm not going", instead of the deflection you might expect, given her character. Don't give them an inch. They're explicitly trying to inject ideology into scripts every chance they get, while also trying to revive their failed writing careers.

I am claiming to know Japanese. She said いかないよ, which is "I won't go". It's a flat rejection because she's clearly, and unambiguously stated her specific desire not to go, at all, in the current time, or the foreseeable future. Japanese is a language is passiveness and subtlety. It's considered quite forward, rude, even, to just say "you" to someone in conversation. So a thing they do to soften the shock is to literally just use the name of the second person in place of that "you" in polite circumstances. When someone asks you if you want to do something, you don't just say "no", you offer up an excuse, even an obviously bad one, or you imply that you're uncomfortable with something like "それはちょっと..." (That's a little...). So someone as meek as Utena straight up saying "I'm not going" is basically the Japanese equivalent of saying "No. Stop asking already."

There is no alternative interpretation here. The translator is either injecting ideology into the script after identifying a chance to make the pairing canonical, or so phenomenally incompetent that Chat GPT would unironically do better, even without Human intervention.

Dude are you Woke
"dysability" (misspelled) phobic... I don't do political correctness so if my opinion offended you, good, be offended.

The episode showed her mom then showed a grownup woman examining Utena so it implied that it was her mom and didn't explain or make obvious she wasn't. Then the next scene they show her mom come home and offer to buy her a doll so it really implies the girl fantasized about her mom doing that to Utena. IDGAF it's an interpretation how I saw the episode. If they wanted me to see different, then that failure is on the episode not mine
It's barely worth discussing because it was a badly made shitty episode

Gotta say I’m starting to really love kiwi-chan almost as much as I love Utena I really love her character.

Korisu definitely has a broken af power and she’s definitely a great addition to utena’s group. Kinda sucks we never saw Utena transform this episode but I don’t mind.

I’m not sure if Korisu is mute or if she’s just super shy which would make sense she’s a kid.

I’m curious to see where the show goes from here now the last of the main 3 has been introduced.

Yeah animation and proportions are sometimes really off. It's frustrating because I think the manga art lives on quality street. I'd pick nice line art over explicit nudity, any day.

I've been thinking about it and well, if we took away the sexual aspect of this anime, I think it would be a very wholesome story, of course, it's not a complaint, it's just an observation xd.

Nero Alice's power is kinda cheat, i mean, she can create an entire dimension and take control of the minds of the people inside it, bruh.

Tbh the most boring and weirdest episode so far.
Tres Magia in that dollhouse was just straight-up weird.
People seem to be surprised about the transformation scene but legit if you already have watched obscure anime instead of always mainstream stuff this is the least surprising thing here.
The curing cold scene just had me looking at the screen wondering what the point is.

Yeah, いかない is "Won't go", いけない is "can't go", naughty, bad, etc. . Which, even if that were what she said, it still wouldn't mean "Not now" or anything like it. Both are written in kana.

Her rejection was shockingly direct, considering her character. Despite her relatively meek nature, she effectively stopped the other one dead in her tracks with the firmest tone she could use short of telling her to stop bringing it up. But yes, your thing would have been better than what the sub ended up being, if nothing else. Maybe they should have hired you instead. But this wasn't an "I'm uncomfortable" at all, but a clear "no".

It shows that they've really grown closer, and Utena is starting to feel comfortable voicing her opinions clearly. This characterization's been completely lost because of the Commie in charge of the subs.

That ending part was too sweet for this anime lol. The introduction of the last evil magical girl is there, the cute Korisu joins the Enormita crew with her doll house power, which makes for very interesting and unique ecchi moments. Interesting to note that Utena didn't even transform at all this episode, which is a first so far. I'm excited to know what's next for this anime, probably all of the 3 main girls using their powers together might get something crazy cool/lewd, but what's next ? Time will tell, so far it's still as enjoyable as it can be.
I like everything, ok

"In this episode, we meet Korisu, a new member of Enormita. It appears her powers are quite formidable, as she controls stuffed animals or dolls, and if she captures you in her dollhouse, you are at her mercy. The girls of 'Tres Magia' and Utena experienced this firsthand.

@BlueBullet178 I must have missed where that happened. Unless, I'm guessing, you think the human body is an inherently sexual thing if not covered up? In which case it's you/society doing that.
@logopolis Nobody is saying the naked body is an inherently sexual thing though? But if you think that Korisu wasn't sexualized at all in this episode, that's just being straight up disingenuous. I mean what other reasons would they add those fanservicy extra scenes other than for fanservice?

Now to be clear, I'm not complaining because of her age being 9 (it's a fictional character so who cares), however it definitely ruins the character dynamic from the manga, where Utena would always try to protect Korisu from seeing any sexual things and she was the only magical girl not sexualized at all (for good reason).

There are definitely some people thinking that way, even if they don't include yourself.

I'm not familiar with any early storyboards, so I don't know what was originally planned to happen and what changes were made. But in any case, it's irrelevant. The production process shouldn't dictate how you view the finished product. No scene is "extra". All the scenes are just "the scenes".

The job of an anime isn't to slavishly recreate the source material. Judge the character dynamic they are actually going for.

That's where you need to get specific, so that people who didn't think the same things as you know what you mean.

I suppose that strikes a better compromise between the written line being direct, but Utena's voice still sounding meek and not so forceful. She even stutters the first syllable.

Utena was actually surprisingly forceful in the raw. She outright said "I'm not going", instead of the deflection you might expect, given her character. Don't give them an inch. They're explicitly trying to inject ideology into scripts every chance they get, while also trying to revive their failed writing careers.
If you are suggesting that the script is being tampered with in translation to suggest a real lesbian relationship between Utena and Kiwi, I'm not seeing it at this stage. Not with the way episode 3 ended with Kiwi trying to pull Utena into a love hotel, while Utena held the signpost so as to not get dragged in. Sure, that seems to be the way Kiwi would have it, but Utena isn't reciprocating.

@Takata The subtitles are just garbage, he is wrong about the ideology stuff from what I have seen, unless you count dumping memes, random cursing and jokes that are not present in the original script as ideology then IDK, but overall its just the localizer seems to think he can write whatever he wants in as long as the story is relatively correct, mistranslations like that which make the characters appear to have different personalities than they actually do are just casualties of the lack of caring about the original script in the first place.

They literally turned a firm "No" into a "Not right now/Later". That's as clear a sign as ever that they're trying to make it canon. They're injecting ideology into the content every chance they get. This isn't up for debate here. There's no point in giving them the benefit of the doubt when they've literally said that's what they're doing, and they've been caught doing it before.

Yeah, thankfully, the "localizer" hacks can't actually change the images themselves, so they at least have to keep the dialogue consistent with what's showing up. Unfortunately, this scene didn't have any signs for her to latch on to, so the hack could just pretend she said she'd do it later.

@HyperlinkBlocked to be clear I am not trying to defend them, they should be fired for butchering the subtitles as badly as they have, just so many lines are wrong and not close to ideological in nature that this overall doesn't seem ideological so much to me as it does someone writing their own fanfiction. I could be wrong though lol

I agree, I also think the manga and anime are two separate things and thus should be treated as such. Which is exactly why my whole point from the beginning was just that 1). Korisu was definitely sexualized for the anime, and that 2). I personally don't like that compared to how it goes in the manga. I'm not saying they're obligated to follow the manga or anything, just simply stating which I prefer.

By this I'm mainly refering to the manga, where compared to all the other magical girls, Korisu is never really involved in any lewd scenes. Compare that to the anime so far, such as her transformation being nude, or her spreading cream/messaging Utenas breasts (both anime-exclusive scenes). Having Korisu being more involved in respect to that weakens the story/character dynamic IMO given her age and the fact she wouldn't really understand things of that nature (not refering to the transformation). While this episode on it's own didn't involve that much with her, it means they could go more into it, making the show worse (for me).
