Nah these citizens deserve to die. They have no right to bar anyone from entering the school, they're lucky THEY were accepted inside. Deku should wipe them all out.

FLAWLESS speech and Delivery by Ochako's voice actress!! Hit me right in the feels. It was so passionate. This is definitely a turning point for MHA. Ochako's goated as always <3

If Bakugo was the MVP last episode, then Ochako was most certainly the star this time around. The importance of support & morale comes full circle with her development as a hero and what she was looking to for inspiration - the tired faces of onlookers lighting up as they cheered on the heroes. I definitely don't fault the civilians for their unrest, as they lived in a society where the role of hero was placed on a pedestal far removed from their daily lives. Ochako's speech helped to humanize the heroes and make their struggles relatable to the average person.

Every episode of this season has been great to me. So, for the finale, are we about to see Stain kill All Might as Nighteye foresaw?

I can't help but think about how relevant the traitor from the student camp is right now. They have all these defenses, but the story seems to have neglected that old mystery...

I didn’t think I would shed a tear because I typically don’t like cheesy speeches like this, but seeing a young kid take on the burden of world and people hating on him for a while was a lot. I swear if stain touches All Might, I will tear this place down.

Last episode was meh, but this episode really got me, when Deku broke down, I broke too.

When Uraraka said you beaches won't the ones getting hurt fighting villains, those ungrateful people felt that. The adults in that crowd had the nerves to look at little Midoriya and tried to chase him out before they opened their eyes. After the whole All Might saga being the symbol of peace and whatnot, I have a feeling that this development will lead to the answer of what it means to be a hero, that normal civilians can also be a hero by extending that helping hand to those who need it, even to the heroes that are working to protect them. It is not just one person saving everybody, but everybody must do their part and find the kindness in their heart to help others in need, and this would also tie into the whole Shigaraki subplot and the whole thing about him not receiving any help when he needed it the most.

Good stuffs.

Another sweet episode mostly consisting of people screaming at Deku and then Uraraka screaming back. Very nice seeing some older characters again like Kota and the axolotl looking guy from the first episode.

Damn the principal is on it. I was like aw bakugo and deku moms seem close then remember their children grew up with eachother. I like when ururaka said “to be his hero academia “. Koda so cute. Racism against hetromorphs omg.

Unwritten shounen rules #23, #5 & #11:
  • Negotiations with an angry crowd will work better if it's a sugary positive girl spitting out cheesy lines
  • The emo hero shall find strenght again due to the support from his friends as well as strangers, so extras can have some "importance" too
  • Never forget to use sad, but simplicistic, backround music as it can increase the scene's emotional impact to the average viewer
[rule #13 still applies, rain's not stopping anytime soon]

Endeavor in a trench coat like he's from some noir detective film. Bizarre.
Do-gooder shit mouse principal changing the school's whole geography in months. Believable (in sci-fi).
Then thankfully there's Hawks, whose main goal is still having as much free time as possible. Based.

These last two-three episodes are really testing my patience, where's my villains at?

Ochako is officially Best Girl. She really sees and seeks to understand the bigger picture.

Poor Deku, man. Poor kid.

The writing has been fantastic this arc. Incredibly realistic and grounded, stakes are high and they are all woven together and handled with a high degree of understanding on human psychology, hysteria, fear, noble intentions, realistic consequences....

S6 episodes have been consistently 10/10. I was griping a bit about how the previous ~100 episodes have been a prologue specifically leading up to this, but damn is this part of the story so masterfully executed, IMO.

It's crazy to think a kid like Uraraka had to spell it out but here we are ...
That said, yet again an emotional episode.

I can definitely understand the thoughts of the crowd seeing these Heroes as just performers, seeing it like fiction rather than reality, maybe a nod to how they're dissociating from reality with these ridiculous powers and villainous action.
"Heroes" are always expected to be perfect but in the end they're just people with feelings and family too.

Never expected to lose it when kota would run to Midoriya. The heteromorph neechan was there too, this whole speech and him being there tattered battered without any hope of acceptance was so emotional. In the end the crowd empathizes reluctantly with the efforts of ochako and others. But we have the foundations led for him to become the greatest hero, isn't it Principal Nezu?
All Might is carrying his own guilt as well and Stain is tailing him everywhere.
