| I just came into this series, and have finished it, so let me just say... I liked Endless Eight. Not because it wasn't tedious, or anything like that, but because it was. I've had this impression going through this series that it's not about the plot, or even the characters, but the feeling of it. It's about the experience of it. Endless Eight feels just like it should. An endless repetition of the same things, over and over. It imparts the feeling in the audience of "I've seen this all before". It brings the dread and horror of the same thing going on forever. It works for me, even if it wasn't fun to watch. Oh, and the way I interpreted it, the homework was irrelevant. It wasn't about homework, it was about Haruhi wanting to spend one more day with her friends before summer ended. |

| Homework was rather unexpected, I had thought it was Koizumi's version. Glad this arc is over though, I wouldn't have minded it had it been half as long. |

| Yay! It's definitely the end of the same eps. I excepted the same boring endless loop and this ep surprise me. It was okay, but it doens't shocked me or something like this. I think it's not a good conclusion for this final solution plot and few episodes. They should make something different and better. |

| Endless Eights, finished once and for all! Honestly, the Endless Eights were not that bad. If anything, they were painful, but not boring. |
| And so ends the world's most expensive trolling. I honestly enjoyed this arc ( it made me appreciate the details). Only thing KyoAni could have done to be more of a troll would be to replace the ending theme with "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick. That would have been perfect, unfortunately that became a thing a year later. |

| ........ That is one of the most anti-climatic resolutions I've ever seen. HOMEWORK? THAT'S IT??? URRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I mean, the actual scene was hilarious, but... I just can't believe I sat through eight episodes for such a cheap ass climax to the scenario. The final scene was great though. "If I have the chance to live today all over again, I hope I remember to put some cash down on this hand." I always love seeing bro time between Kyon and Itsuki. |

| Watched the first 4 episodes of the endless eight, then skimmed through the other half of the 8. Wished I would've skimmed through it earlier though. :( Woow, total waste of time. They should've prolly done 3 episodes of the arc, instead of 8. They just recycled the audio in all episodes. lol. Interesting concept but very disappointing in terms of audience impact and enjoyment. |

| Watched through all eight episodes two sittings (I need to take a breather you know). This is such a genius yet poor execution of the arc so I don't know if either I'll praise or bash it. I admit that it sort of wasted some of my precious time (no pun intended) thinking that each episode would have something new other than a change of clothing oh well. This episode though changed everything especially at the end and the built up anticipation suddenly bursts out into a conclusion that is somewhat lackluster. Still this is what makes The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya one of the best anime IMO. 15,532/15,532 :) |

| I could not stop smiling... I thought repeating 15,532 times would be significant, but the chances of getting a Royal Flush (I looked it up) are actually 1 in 649,739. In any case, I enjoyed the ending. Even though the numbers didn't add up, it took once in a hell of a lot of times to pull Kyon's "Royal Flush" and I'm glad that the show can finally move on. |

I don't think Haruhi necessarily wanted to spend another day with her friends, I think she wanted to do what her friends wanted to do. Them, and especially Kyon, not coming up with anything when there was still one day left made her feel they didn't actually want to hang out with her, but only did so because she ordered them. The Brigades anxiety over it being the last day of the loop only reïnforced this. The homework was something the others "wanted" to do, but most of all provided Haruhi with an explanation as to why they, and again especially Kyon, seemed less than enthousiastic about spending another day running around with her. |

| [Watching in broadcast order] Lmao, he actually got a royal flush. Dang, seems it was the homework after all and I called it on the 2nd / 3rd episode disccusion. Hooray for them finally breaking the loop though. Cant believe it took 15000+ tries for Kyon to finally do homework, I guess it would make sense if those 15000+ tries gradually made the sense of deja-vu stronger ... making it so Kyon finally figured out to do something he had missed out on. Actually I've been thinking, maybe it's not Haruhi being a god taking the group on all these strange journeys but Kyon? I like that theory a lot, might not be true, might be true, it's definitely something worth thinking about. Anyhow, I really enjoyed the "Endless Eight" ... I see why some people dont like it though, especially if you were watching it on a weekly basis when it was being released. |

| Well that was anticlimactic and slightly rage inducing. Lucky I had decided against siting through all 8 episodes so saved some time. Figured out it was because of Kyon's homework by the second episode of the endless eight because this show had been lacking a "studying"/school work type episode for this type of series. |
| And with this chapter the "endless summer" is ends with a simple solution, but effective, and all the previous work is framed. Which one? | Sigh 4 OP Animation: 2.75/5 Still the movie making continues. I feel like watching another Endless 8 though. Haruhi really did it. She dumped Mikuru to lake. My disrespect to Haruhi still continues. I want this arc to end. E8 was much better imo. 2.4/5 |

| Just watched entire Endless Eight today (with breaks, since I'm not insane enought to try watch it one after another). This was brilliant. Normaly you as viewer can only see characters in despair situation. Endless Eight change that. You can also experienced despair situation by watching the same episode 8 times. You can feel exactly the same as Yuki. The same despair situation by seeing the same things happen over and over. Well small part of this despair, since what is 8 times compared to 15532. |
| Oh wow.....I am 100% with Kyon on this one and wanted to absolutely slug Haruhi. You never hit a woman no matter what the reason, period. However a true feeling of anger swelled up in me during that scene in the bedroom with drunk Mikuru. People are not god damn toys Haruhi. |

| A nice, satisfying ending to one of the most controversial arcs out of any anime, not just Haruhi. Finally, the Endless Eight ends with episode eight. Personally, I would've preferred it if the arc's episodes showed the increase in loops more dramatically, for example if the second episode of the arc was only the 50th loop, and the third episode the 546th loop or something, as it makes Kyon's solution to the time loop seem more developed. But alas, here we are. Horray - for more Haruhi! |

| It's over! That was amazing. Felt so unique, 8 episodes of ALMOST completely same content. They really gambled with this one and it seems a lot of fans weren't pleased lol kudos for their bravery. This episode had a lot of differences with the previous 7 though, especially in dialogue and scenes. You could feel from the start that this was really different. That scene in the restaurant when Haruhi just flips that Kyon made the decision though, damn that was hilarious... and gotta say, cute too. Haruhi's expression was cute there. One thing I still don't get though, what hint did Kyon get? Also, why homework? Did he see something? Maybe I'll have to rewatch the last 5 minutes to understand. I'd be lying if I didn't say I was quite relieved that Endless Eight has ended. Despite me thinking that it was a brilliant idea and I did enjoy it, I also wanted the story to move forward because it literally did not here lol Will always definitely remember this. |
