As changes go fixing leaks though small are nice improvements. The kappa museum sure had quite the unique look. Still Chi Chan's family sure owns quite a lot of land huh. Its amusing seeing their praises for Chi chan. Guess the hot springs proved too tempting for even Emi and Bell. But it was foolhardy to believe that Maou could escape from Emi that easily. The talk between Chi chan and Maou outside was nice though. Despite the difficulty she trying to think of a way where everyone can be happy is admirable. When it comes to farming learning to wake up early is a must. Seeing the fields sure brought back complicated memories for both Maou and Emi. The bear sure complicated their peaceful part time job though. Overall a fun ep that did well to expand upon the world via the expansion on Chi Chan's family as well as aspects of Emi and Maou's shared past as well. Though unintentional it seems that Emi has become somewhat of a rival for Maou at least in the eyes of Chi Chan's family.

Lol what the hell happened? Oh, the bear spotted us because the kid cried we are doomed ...

LOL bears literally have a strong sense of smell, and it is clear that the bear saw them...
I think the bear got offended because they thought it didn't notice them until the kid cried. Believe me...

Hark! Is it a comedy-based episode this time around? From the opening segment I feel like it has potential to be.

Kappa's love cucumbers? Is that true? ಠ_ಠ
Either way, I wouldn't mind checking out that museum.

Heh, Urushihara died. This is probably the first time I've laughed at this season.

Well, other than that one laugh, it still isn't nearly as comedy-forward as it used to be. This did remind me of some of the older, more casual, episodes though. And, I'm already starting to miss Stardew Valley because of this arc.

This episode wasn't bad but it's the latest in a string of episodes that don't really move the story forward and instead indugles on character moments that don't really tell us anything new about the characters. I can enjoy Emilia's private moment with Maou in the greenhouse but it happens right after the episode reaches the halfway mark, so it has no bearing on the story.

This is a criticism I've been throwing at this show for these past 3 weeks. The Devil is a Part-Timer isn't trying to be great, just good enough.

New job for maou-san and 2 other boys at chiho family house and i think it's good enough because i can see more about chiho. Can't wait for the next episode.

I like the show. It's good natured and not too serious. Cute ED. I wonder what will happen with the bear.

I don't usually like Chiho's type of character. But she's a cute girl. I don't want Maou to have to pick Emi or Chiho.

The ugly art in this episode finally triggered me, up to episode 7 I was like "alright, it is bad, but it is watchable", this was the last nail in the coffin, I hate this art so much now....

Maou's talk with Chiho was utterly pointless what an absolute waste. honestly the show has lost its way, how is farming for vegetables even remotely interesting.

Okay, so...

Just so everyone knows, this is a filler arc. I'm not sure why we need a multi-episode filler arc in a SEASONAL anime, but here we are. My theory on why they were speeding through the material so quickly and skipping so much stuff--while focusing on the bits they thought were funnier I guess rather than the actual drama and plot--is dead. They totally could have just used a couple more episodes of time to fill out the 2 entire arcs that they compressed into 7 episodes (note: season 1 spent 10.5 of its 13 episodes on 2 arcs). Screw Studio 3Hz.

Note season 1 also had 3 filler episodes, specifically episodes 6, 10, and 13. I honestly don't remember anything about 6 except for the basic premise and the resolution (I haven't watched season 1 in a couple of years), but I actually liked 10 (and not for the reasons most people who liked it did). Also, they put a bit of the current arc in the last few minutes of the episode... 13 was okay, and also had a couple of minutes of the end of the preceding arc thrown in just to confuse filler lists.

After the last episodes I thought that this wouldn't be another episode where the Crew helps out. Don't get me wrong this and also the episodes before were OK but still you get the feeling that these are filler episodes as some people here stated before :/

Eps 8, quite a boring one, atleast for me.
Im not quite interested at farming stuff, even that theres some simple character development like between Maou and Chi-chan & Maou and Emilia.
Also the new dark lord they introduced quite terrifying.

You can't have legit character development in a filler arc. Anything that happens in these episodes will have no bearing on anything going forward.

That's a pretty good idea. I wish I knew what was filler and what wasn't in advance so I could skip through the stupid stuff. Although the baby isn't filler, so I'd still be stuck watching that crap.

Of course Fusa finds Mao.

It does make sense because if I recall, Alas Ramas can sense the both of them.

Anyways it was clutch for Chiho to get Mao and the boys another part time job until MgRonalds opens up again, and as usual Urushihara is absolutely USELESS! Will there ever be a job that he can actually do.

And now we get to the main conflict with the boar. How will everyone get out of this one. Will Emi and the others have to use their powers to fight?

Ains and his partners are too op at the point that nobody can do nothing about it. The anime itself manages to make everything interesting but i would like to see another player putting ains serious

i'm not feeling this season at all. if they aren't babysitting they're picking up odds and ends jobs. i get that "part timer" is literally in the title, but season 1 made it work. season 2 does not. think i'm gonna drop this

Overall, this episode was bad. Instead of being a show worthy of 'Devil is a Part-Timer', it's just a episode that acts more like a filler. I don't think there was any plot development, no action, wasn't funny, and overall boring. This season so far is kinda disappointing me compared to the first one.

I think this episode was definitely more interesting with Emi reflecting on one of the reasons why if not the main reason she dislikes Mao. Honestly it's pretty insane that they're even cooperating with such a dark past together. The cliffhanger was good too! I wonder if they're gonna reveal their abilities to these normal people to deal with the bear.

As maou suggested.

Chiho's farmer house sure is huge, LOL.

And while last episode they have Maou x Emi moment, this episode have Maou x Chiho moment.

Interesting. I learned about farming in this episode. Anyway, I'm glad Emi could make an appearance. I feared I wouldn't see her for several episodes. Man, I wish I could do some farmwork with Emi. I hate the sun & heat, but I'll go through it for her!

Chiho is annoying.

My own opinion here. Don’t get offended.
I don’t like the fact that she’s a high schooler in love with an adult. Getting flustered and embarrassed like it’s cute. Emi is better imo.
